Fake email: spam. I just got a fake email in my main email address. How do I know it's fake? Because the sender is listed as: from: Myemailaddress. (the email address is my main email address). Since I know I didn't send this email to me, I know it's fake. I guess there are programs that allow spammers to use whatever fake email address they want to put in the sender heading. But why make the sender the same as the recipient? You'd have to be half-asleep, not to know that the mail is fake. If you bothered to read who sent the email. Or, else, you just open all emails automatically, without looking to see who sent them. Whatever. Lately, I've been getting a lot of increased spam. I guess the spammers don't have anything better to do than send out more spam. Honestly, I've been getting over 100 spam emails every day lately. Most of the spam goes directly into my spam box. But a lot of spam goes directly into my inbox. And it's really irritating. | |

I have a comcast email as my primary account and have noticed a lot of spam lately also. Whats messed up is no matter the settings the spam is let through and have to check my spam folder often as it spams legit email no matter how many times I mark them not spam. I have 3 that I receive everyday or every other day and I know they are from porn sites. This is what each says: Hi (my name), do you still live in (area) Second one: Hey (my name), I am in your area right now. Third one: Hi (my name), when and where can we hookup? The reason I know porn sites have sold my info is my debit card has my legal first name and it's the name all the emails are sent to. I never use my legal first name. I go by my middle name. I hit spam on them, flag them, and they just keep coming in. The really stupid part is it will have a woman's name. One is Lisa. The email address sending it is woodsjoseph484@gmail One is listed as Jessica, the email address sending it is taylortrevor245@gmail The other is Ann, the email address is butskinick236@gmail Why my spam filter doesn't pick up the same email address I mark as spam doesn't make any sense at all.
