I'm guessing you're not talking about a USB hub. Former PornUsers Senior Administrator Now at: MyPorn.com "To get your ideas across use small words, big ideas, and short sentences."-John Henry Patterson

Assuming you're not stuck with an old motherboard like I am, here's a nice splitter for SATA drives: http://www.cooldrives.com/cosapomubrso.html If you build PCs, you might like that site. Sarcasm is a body's natural defense against stupidity.

I just want to clarify a thing or two about RB's link. First that is a little more than a splitter. It is a multichannel device. It takes 5, or less, of your SATA drives and sends them out through a single SATA line. Since the SATA cables can handle a lot more than the drives will output these things are very useful and capable. I have a few of them now, by Adionics (sorry about the spelling), and they work great and transfer at about 50 MByte/s. Can find them on Ebay for around $75, I have bought several from the seller "Buy" with no issues. If you are interested in getting one of these make sure your SATA controller can recognize multichannel inputs. I do not know of any motherboard that have this built in but I have not looked. There are some PCI cards that work well. I am using a few Rosewill PCI-E card that were about $25 a piece on Newegg and have very low profiles, so they work well in that slot right next to the video card. These are very handy if you are looking to build a separate case just for hard drives. With two of these you can have 10 drives in a stand alone case and have only two cables running to your main computer. They are hot swappable as well. You can use more than one on the same system. I have two running to the same controller card with absolutely no issue since I had them. This is a more expensive route to take, but it less messy than USB and performs a bit better. However, it does require you doing some physical setup. It comes down to knowing your application and budget. hmmm ... you should be able to find one just about anywhere that carries computer supplies. Online you could try Amazon or locally try Staples or Office Depot.
