Are the days of unprotected sex over? Just saw/read yesterday that an incurable form of Gonorrhea has been found in France. It resists all attempts to treat it. Will we see nothing but protected sex in the future? According to the report women are especially susceptible to catching this disease while performing fellatio. I would be totally turned off watching anyone getting a bj while wearing a condom but if someone's health is so obviously on the line I guess we will have to get used to this.

Maybe the days of unprotected sex will be on "hold," so to speak, until the Science Rescue Team comes up with a vaccine for Terminal Clap. Or maybe not. I'm sure the religious zealots will get on the phone/burning bush to God and tell us all about how it's more punishment for our sin of enjoying the way we were created. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Boy, God must be hating all kinds of things about us with all those antibiotic resistant bugs popping up left and right. I hate to sound gloomy but your Science Rescue Team had better start working overtime. There have been 21 deaths in Ontario (Canada) Hospitals only recently because of a super bug making its rounds.

From a news article posted last year: "Gonorrhea is the second most commonly reported infectious disease in the United States. In 2008, there were 336,742 official cases, but this number, the most recent available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, may vastly underestimate the true number." I never paid much attention to health news. I had assumed that STD (except for HIV) were diseases that had mainly been controlled. But that was obviously incorrect.

Possibly a large part of the problem is that young people still don't use a condom and have sex with far too many people. To that you have to add that they have sex with different people in a short amount of time and therefore are more likely to catch something and transmit it before they are diagnosed with an STD. Most of them probably don't worry about the consequenes because they assume (wrongly) that most STD's can be cured with a pill. I don't know the statistics but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the same people keep getting treated for. It's one thing to get an STD and then learn your lesson and make sure that a condom is used after that but since our society believes that pills can heal all things then they don't learn their lesson and cacth another STD or even the same. Bacteria, viruses are living organism who's main function is to survive. We create vaccines and drugs to kill them and we do an excellent job but not a perfect one. Those that survive are much tronger than their predecessors and they become stronger than the drugs or vaccines that were meant for their predecessors. Long live the Brown Coats.

There are lots of STDs that are still quite common and transmitted, HPV is extraordinarily common and easily transmitted, I'd be surprised if there was a single porn star that didn't have it at some point. It is commonly asymptomatic, but can result in major health issues later in life like cervical and penile cancer. My guess would be that STD incidence in the United States will probably begin to increase as sex education gets worse and worse. I'm sure the super clap will just force porn producers to be that much more careful with testing as they have done with HIV. Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars. Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

This will simply add ammunition to CAL OSHA's push to force all porn companies to film penetration scenes with condoms. Long live the Brown Coats.

Woohoo! I'm not sure what you mean by young but I never knew I was having so much sex with so many people, and condom-free to boot! But seriously I think you do have a point, and it's probably more to do with inexperience, at least in terms of safety, coupled with a culture of ignorance that helps to spread STDs among younger people (though not me). Speaking for Americans, a lot of people complain that we're too prude, while others complain that we're oversexed. In a way I'd say they are both right, and I think it's a result of an overall unhealthy view of sex and sexuality in general. Would we still mandate abstinence-only education in so many places if we weren't? Not too mention virginity pledges, purity balls, our obsession with sexual orientation, while simultaneously maintaining a massive porn industry ()? What I'm saying is that you can't blame it totally on the young when they haven't been given the proper tools in the first place. And what was your attitude when you were younger? I think we're all pretty dumb and feel way too invulnerable when we're young, though this is even more reason to have serious and comprehensive sex education, super-Gonorrhea or not. Not necessarily. If viewers, or at least paying customers, are turned off by condoms then they will simply send their hard-earned dollars to the latex-free market instead. I know that I don't exactly like seeing a rubber in the stuff that I watch. I like the porn-as-fantasy approach, and condoms don't do much for this fantasy. But since so much of porn is now turning to more reality-based genres, condoms might fit in a little better, though viewers could still grab their pitchforks over them being mandatory. Also, if people don't wear them in their real sex lives, why would they want to see them in their porn? "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? They had mainly been controlled, along with more common diseases like pneumonia etc. Trouble is that through our misuse of antibiotics .. we stop taking them too early .. we put them into the food of our chickens, pork etc. as a protection from disease therefore, as someone else wrote, the bugs went into survival mode and there are now viruses and bacteria that resist every attempt to kill them. Many scientists are afraid that all the communicable diseases, not only STD, will be untreatable down the road and we'll be back to the bad old days, health wise! That's why I wrote in a previous post I hope they are working overtime to find a weapon against the super bugs.

Possibly because I'm Canadian but I can't believe that someone born in the last 20 yrs hasn't heard about AIDS. It's been with us for 3 decades so what would be their excuse. I'll grant you that some are really dumb and think that because they have invented pills to help treat people that this is a kind of cure but I would hope that's a minority. The simple fact is that young people just don't look at the consequences of their actions. It's the now that counts and I'll pay later. In their defense they probably learned it from their parents or the TV....I would guess the Tv wins on that one. I agree with you that I didn't necessarily look too far ahead but then again I was never a casual sex guy in my youth. My upbringing has a lot to do with it but I also grew up in the late 70's and early 80's. That was the beginning of the first cases of AIDS and doctors didn't know too much about except that it was transmitted sexually. Long live the Brown Coats.
