Thanks guys, for all your kind comments. I could say: "I wanted no stinking badge" but it wouldn't be true. I sorta like the feeling of topping the one-hundred mark.  And, thanks Khan, I did receive your email. Just forgot to answer it! But it is also true when I say: far more important than any badge are your extremely nice comments re. my presence at PU. I sometimes curb my input in this forum on purpose because I don't want to overpower the posters with my opinions .. but the reason I am up there on the list of contributors is because I love the company I am in and love our civilized intercourse (no, not that kind). This place is really home to me and having a forum is the best idea TBP ever had. A day wouldn't be a day if I didn't drop in four - five times for a bit of company. I'm pretty well housebound so, like it or not, you gentlemen (and three ladies) have become the only friends I have. I know it's an electronic friendship but even if we should never meet in person you've still become more to me than just a handle and to feel liked and appreciated by you is a real honor. You know, the funny thing is that I have a very fragile ego, squirrel. For some reason I always feel that I am an imposition rather than someone who could possibly be liked. So when I read posts like yours it gives me an emotional boost way beyond what others who are more secure about themselves would experience. I agree with this. You comments here (messmer) tell a different story - that of a confidence and sureness. Sure, we're mostly often only talking about trivial stuff, but I've always treated your comments as having a greater weight than many others. And if you are mostly housebound at this stahe in your life, I'm sure I'm not the only person who is pleased to be part of the group keeping your wit engaged! Happy 100 points! | |
