Why ? From what I gather most of us download tons of porn - most of which we may never see - Why ? I should answer this question myself but I don't really have a good reason why I pull Gigs of porn down every night - my idiotic answer is because I can !!! I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence | |

First of all I am a collector. Second I am paranoid and believe that one day so many of our civil liberties will be stripped away that downloading porn will be illegal. In that case I want to have enough porn to last several life times. Andy you have enough to last all of us LOL. Seriously I sort through after downlading, maybe tad different as most sort as they download I sort after. Problem I do not remember all but my favorites so I name niches and fav1 2 3 4 5 etc and know what I like best its like a tree sorting . I used to ask myself the same question but events during the last week or so make me glad that I have downloaded porn I haven't even looked at yet. One important factor is the value of the American Dollar as measured against my currency, the Canadian Dollar. I've seen MY dollar lose ten percent of its value during the past two weeks, so, if it gets too expensive to subscribe to an American site I'll have all that material on my hard drive that I haven't looked at yet. Number two, as someone else pointed out, one cannot always count on the climate to stay this liberal. There might very well come a time when the pendulum swings back and the whole works will become illegal again. It may not happen but there's always that chance. | |

It's true that we all download GIG's upon GIG's of content but a large part of that is because there is so much available material and most of it is crap. We are like modern treasure seekers. Looking for that elusive pearl of amazing porn that makes all the hardship worth it. It's also true that none of us know what the future of internet porn is going to be like. Will we get more Government involvement? Will the recession put a major squeeze on producers? Will the fact that every Tom, Dick and Harry with a camera now thinks he's the Cecil B Demile of porn(look up the name if unknown to you)? Long live the Brown Coats. | |

Pat, very true. We are definitely seeing more and more completely amateur porn out there. While that is great, i would like to see more people making porn that can do a good job put more creativity into it. I am starting to think the big shots are getting too comfortable and not looking for ways to do it better. We all have that one video that makes joining and downloading a whole site worth it. Have you every noticed how frequently that gem video can be found on the freebie TGP anyway. They now what people like too, so why not make as many videos as they can be worth putting out where everyone can see it. Of course they are not going to but the clip of a lame video out for everyone to see. I certainly hope that porn does not become less than legal. If it does i do not know what I would do! I also hope that service providers sway away from the idea of download limits on people. Many companies are placing limits on monthly downloads, I have been fortunate with my DSL and have no limits. I can run 100%, 100% of the time :). I am trying to get the most of it while I have it. I will likely be moving in a year or so and my not have access like that. So for now, it is all about amassing huge quantities just in case. I tend to stick with video which reduces the # of files I download compared to those here who download photos. I do tend to do a quick preview of a video online, if possible before I download (Look at streaming vid or clips, etc.) and limit my downloads to those that look promising. When I download a bunch of videos from a site I usually do a round of purging and keep the rest. | |

I never purge unless it is truly terrible. My mindset is that I have already taken the time to download it so I might as well keep it. It is a little more expensive to keep everything, but I am a hoarder. One thing that I do is place stuff that is lest likely to be watched on smaller, slower drives and keep it more or less out of the way of good stuff. Sounds like exactly my process to. Why I get Andy's thought sometimes a video looks good in preview but suck eggs later. I dumped 56 gigs today aftertwo weeks and about 150+ gihs dumped in a MONTH the year would be in terbytes of what I toss, most Bangbro and Brazzer stuff huge files and only liked about 30 vids. Ok thank you all for your replies, very informative. It seems like one of the justifications is that the liberty we enjoy may be taken away. I'm an expat in the Middle East & there is nothing liberal about this place. There is a total ban on porn or anything that may show just a little extra flesh. Many magazines on the shelf have big black marker scribbles over everything they think is a exposing a little too much. In fact it's rather funny. The internet service providers block everything that may be a little revealing let alone porn. The good thing is the internet is fast and cheap and unlimited so a good VPN will do the trick. I'm literally downloading 24/7. The point I'm making is that if the climate becomes more conservative in the US or anywhere else people we'll find a way as I have in the Middle East. The more you try to ban something the more people will want it. That's what happened back in the 30's with the US prohibition on Alcohol. If you try to ban or limit porn then I guarantee you will simply make it more desirable. It's just plain human nature to want what we don't or can't have. We fantasize about exotic places and beautiful people. I don't think too many people fantasize about their great job, and the beautiful people at work. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

That is a good question. Its strange really. I look at the porn video once, or skim through it and just put it away. Its just the fact I am always looking for something new. I guess I become bored with the material way to quickly. Some sites I join, I download everything just for the fact I feel like I have to get my monies worth, and If I don't download everything I wasted money. However I must say I do have favorites that I look at again and again. I am always searching for that new excellent clip or video. | |

I don't believe in a restriction of freedom. Even if porn was banned from the US, the whole industry would just move to Europe or others. As for downloading. I'm quite picky and download only what LOOKS good. After that, I delete the bad stuff, keep the so-so stuff on external disk and burn the great ones on dvd. | |

if you're the type of person who only downloads what he or she will watch right away, but could afford to join more sites and download for future use. What do you do now that times are more difficult, we are likely headed for a recession(if not already there) and frankly porn is more a luxury than gas or food? Long live the Brown Coats. | |

I am glad I took a few years and stored my favorites whew. Your right Pat even Iam winding don to a few more reviews then not sure. I like this thread - WHY? Because I've sometimes wondered myself - AND I think I remember we've been aorund this item before - somehow, anyway... I tend to collect too! And I'm fond of my collections - and, by golly - to visit these collections once in a while... But the best part of porn-search will always be: Finding something new and exiting!!! Again when the vast amount of sites do not do it for you - what is there to turn to: Your collection - going through it all, deleting some, edit some and of course enjoying the files you have not been around for some time - like a re-run of old movies... When I feel like taking a break from stuff, I'll go to the My Videos folder and find a name (I catalogue every download by the babe's name) that I don't recognize, I'll load it and watch it...skimming through it for the "good stuff." If I find myself losing interest, I close it and delete it. | |
