Overwhelming porn-interest How many people - males especially - watch porn worldwide on the internet? Just for the heck of it: There's just been some kind of poll here in little ol' Denmark that says, that 1/3 of every danish male watch/search for porn on the net EVERY day..... 1/3 watch or search for porn everyday and 2/3 lie about it. But seriously it's probably closer to 1/2 or more I bet. | |

As far as males are concerned, I would say any and every male who has access to the Internet watches/downloads/whatever porn on it. Otherwise, like james4096 said, the are just lying about it! Come on, lets be honest; all guys are amazed by new computers and software, but give us a few minutes and we start to wonder how we can download porn on it. :) As far as women are concerned...I couldn't even begin to guess. It's like asking how many women have real orgasms every time they have sex. I would bet it is higher than most of us think as the statistical error would probably be huge. Thinking about sex and viewing porn is good for the world. I, for one, spend enough time on it that once I have a deadline to meet for work, I really have to move fast to get things done on time and done well besides. What this means is that porn is good for developing one's capacity for efficiency, an important aspect of productivity. Collectively, then, it's good for the economy. I just don't understand why porn consumption has not yet been considered as an official economic indicator. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. | |

The problem with a poll like that is that unless you actually give actual example of what is considered porn then a guy watching a semi-nude girl could consider that porn. Afterall Playboy is considered porn. Long live the Brown Coats. | |

Well, at its minimum level, I would define it as showing more skin than, or performing suggestive or overtly sexual acts, you wouldn't normally see in public. From what I could gather from the article about the survey, the poll also had these numbers: "50% of the men think that porn is important to them. 25% of the women think that porn is important to them. 2% of the men claim to never watch porn. 20% of the women claim to never watch porn. 33% of the men reply that their partner likes to watch porn together with them. 66% of the women reply that their partner likes to watch porn together with them. 66% of (presumably) all participants in the poll say they like porn." Personally I certainly like to watch porn and search for new stuff, but not every day, more like a couple of days every week. | |

As being one that knows a little about computers and how to make them connect to the internet I can say that I never ever saw a computer owned by a guy that didn't have any traces of real smut hidden on its hard disk drive. On contrary only one of the girls I helped had links to porn pages in her bookmarks but she is the type of girl that is very open minded and of course doesn't hide her appetite for good sex :-) | |

When hasn't the concept of porn star been around? It's certainly been around since the days of Seka in the late 70's. And a large number of the most popular porn performers these days are a) better looking than in days of yore and b) hotter performers than those of bygone days. When you think about Savanah having been a major porn star when she was just blonde and willing to have sex on screen - and then she killed herself, like Shauna Grant, because neither one really wanted to do porn - things are better these days. Girls that don't like it leave, but luckily you don't see the suicides like there used to be. Girls have more of an idea of what they're getting into and there's not as much stigma as there used to be about having sex on screen when there's all the celeb sex tapes so widely promoted.
