Watching HD Porn with a big screen TV

What does it feel like to watch Blu-ray Porn full HD 1080p with your big screen TV? Does it change the experience? Do you turn the volume all up?

It surely changes things but the volume still stays low, if not off lol. It's like when DVD's first came out, I normally watched grainy VHS tapes or poor online material. Then, I noticed little things like zits on asses or other things because of the better quality. Now, with with 720p and 1080p on a 55 inch LCD, I notice everything. However, these minor things are noticed but I can say it adds to the scene because you get to see the model in true form. Now, it's like the model is really there. For example, the caribbean scenes in ALS Scan. I really felt like I was there and enjoying the scenes even more. I would recommend trying it if you can. Sexted From My iPad

I have a 40 inch HD. It is great for porn as well as everything else, however compressed files distort the picture.

I don't know if this qualifies as an answer to the question, but I recently bought a 50" TV and sometimes run my laptop through it. One of the first things I did was to play some scenes I downloaded from HD Porn to see if there was any truth to the HD hype. The answer is yes. HD is incredible to watch on a big screen. I don't do Blu-ray so I can't comment on that, though I suspact that it might be even higher resolution than scenes from HD Porn.

And I agree with GCode - it opens a who new dimension to see a model 'warts and all.' I really like that too.

Can anyone recommend a Blu-ray porn that has excellent picture quality? Or a site where they review Blu-ray porn? Sort of the porn version of blu-ray.com which reviews mainstream movies.

^I'm not aware of any site that reviews blu-ray porn films and that's because these are still pretty unpopular with most customers. Mainstream Blue-Ray films keep gaining in popularity but the price also keeps getting lower.

The cost of a Blu-Ray porn dvd is still more expensive than a standard dvd. Add the fact that gonzo porn isn't necessarily helped by a technology that increases the resolution and clarity of a film. I don't think any one will remember this but quite a few actors and actresses lost their jobs when sound was introduced. They had the talent and the look but not a voice worth hearing. The same can and will likely happen to pornstars that could get away with standard resolution but whose normal skin inperfection will make them almost pariah in the era of HD and Blu-ray. Long live the Brown Coats.

HD is the way to go! I have a 36" monitor on my comp and I love HD porn. I have in fact, deleted all my standard definition porn.
I wouldn't buy a blue ray disc. for less cost, you can get a membership to a site with plenty of HD.
carefull. once you go HD, you never go back!
The down side is, ugly in, ugly out.

I'm assuming this is because those files came from sites where they never seriously intended to have subscribers watching them on big screen TVs. Max desktop monitors would still probably be at least 10" smaller than your TV. And if those files are SD videos then they definitely not meant for the little big screen.

I'm sure it helps hides all the zits, scars, and bruises though! "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? Do you mean in porn or mainstream film? "Talkies" came into Hollywood in the late 1920s* and early '30s and indeed many actors and actresses didn't make the transition (though they still seem to hire on looks alone, whereas acting ability takes second or third priority).

I somehow doubt "normal skin imperfection" will make many pariahs, though makeup artists will probably being loading up on the foundation even more, I just hope not to freakish levels--a lot of actresses are now dolled up to horror clown-like proportions, if you ask me. Considering all the surgery, tattoos, and less-than-gentle lifestyle that so much of talent have you would be left with a handful of people with good skin.

Or maybe you're right and things like the post-op plastic surgery look with it's unnatural bulges and scary scarring will become a weird, marginalized fetish. Bring on the HD!

* Edit: I originally wrote about talkies coming into Hollywood in the 1020s, not the 1920s! "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? They had movies in the 1020s! Sorry, couldn't resist

I've hooked up my TV via HDMI on my laptop to play downloaded HD content and it is pretty good, although personally I find it a bit overrated - especailly given so many scenes have poor camerawork and lighting (and the HUGE file sizes). My TV does a decent enough job up-scaling SD content that I rarely keep the huge HD files unless it is an excellent scene.

Never bought any Blu-Ray porn DVDs, but if I were you I'd stick to purchasing from companies with decent production budgets. Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.

Of course there were movies in the 1020s. That was the golden period of Hollywood, when men were giants and women were goddesses. I remember watching the premieres of wonderful, star-studded premieres that were truly glamorous and wonderfully exciting, with stars that seemed to come down from the heavens into our dreary lives.

slutty, you weren't born unless you have lived through the golden age of movies. turboshaft realizes this instinctively.

Newsreels allow us to enjoy those thrilling times. As a child I used to watch olden premieres on television, with stars like Clark Gable and Gary Cooper appearing on the screen.

So there!

(But I hope that turboshaft's fetish of plastic surgery scarring doesn't become widely popular. )

D'oh! I knew I had written something that I would have to go back and correct--and I think I originally just wrote it as the '20s! I guess I wanted to make everyone sure I was talking specifically about the eleventh century! "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? Actually I didn't make myself too clear here either (though I'm not 900 years off...) but I meant that the increase in HD and Blu-Ray would hopefully push the implant and plastic surgery mayhem that's all the rage now off to the sides, so natural will become the new norm again.

Or they will just use more makeup as I said above, or just say "Fuck it, who cares?" and keep loading up the ladies with saline. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? Not sure if anyone's taken the time to specifically compare... but at the distance you'd normally watch a large TV from, can you tell much difference between 720 and 1080 videos?

It's usually great but often you realize that those East European girls are indeed quite hairy even if they are fully shaved on the film

I've noticed this with hi-res photos too, especially closeups without a lot of Photoshopping, strays hairs become very apparent and pretty annoying and distracting. And it's not just Eastern Euro girls--ladies from all over seem to sport lone wolf hairs growing defiantly around otherwise bare assholes or staking claim on innocent taints.

I say this has to stop! They need to come up with some sort of full body wax or laser chamber setup to zap all those offending hairs away. Just so long as they don't cross the line between "super sensual smoothness" and "oops, we need a fire extinguisher/somebody call an ambulance," then HD will really be worth all the money! I would rather see stray hairs rather than plastic skin. I don't mind seeing imperfect skin as long as they are natural. I am 100% against software airbrushing. The only legitimate use of photo editing software is to put a company logo.

That's why DDFProd is my favorite sites because they don't edit any of their photos. A professional photographer, a professional camera with just the right amount of lighting, and a gorgeous model would make a perfect porn.

i've never really noticed too much of a significant difference between the two on my television, otoh. i'm not aware of any US broadcasts in 1080p, and i think most HD content available via cable/sat looks pretty damn good (although not quite as good as a blu-ray). my TV is only 46" though, I'm sure a larger TV would illuminate the differences more.

at a certain point the quality of your TV becomes more significant as well. Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
