Anyone on the Ashley Madison death list?

So Have any of my fellow pervs been afflicted with " Ashley Madison" nerves? If so how do you plan to deal with it?
The net The net has become a menace!!! Yeah my name is on the list. It's a shame! After four years of finally realizing that " there's " no place like home" ( No I won't give up my porn) it may all go down the drain because these twisted scum have some bone to pick. Soldiers life's are placed in harms way, state secrets are used by our enemies, terrorists are Enlisted by thugs...yet WE KNOW that the internet CANNOT and SHOULD not be censored!

The faster the media drops the story the better. Shame on any site that makes this stolen information available on line! The next thing I expect to hear is that sites will be created to "scrub" the information for a hefty price. Makes me wish all my information was on Hilary's server lol.

Is anyone planning changing their internet porn habits? How about using a pre- paid credit cards? Does anyone think that AM has a chance to survive? Lawyers should have a field day for any number of reasons. Hey one thought, third party billing sites might help out here. I doubt we'll get any help from web browsers although I really think they could be the next target I doubt they will do anything to keep from " listing" the coming sites that reveal such stolen information.
Maybe someone should start a rumor that the bulk of the
information is largely false and stolen from other sites and lists. Good luck to us all lol Pornpundit Edited on Aug 20, 2015, 10:54am

My name is thankfully not on the list. My wife is tech savvy and she trusts me, but she definitely checked it.

AM has no chance to survive. They will have to file for bankruptcy once they are sued for this breach, and no one will buy them out of it.

This may even spook customers from signing up with AM's competitors and kill off the niche for a while.

With 30 millions users exposed, it looks like a sizable portion of this country's population will be affected. The scale in unfathomable.

The only thing I can think of in history that parallels this is the release of the Stasi records after the fall of East Germany. Descendents of East Germans can still go to the government, request their family's records, and find out if the Stasi caught grandpa cheating on grandma. I'm sure that led to many awkward situations, but this may be even worse with AM. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

I look at it this way: You know you're giving out personal and financial information to a website where you're hoping to engage in some hanky panky that could have serious implications on your marriage. Mmmm, did the thought of a possible future hack ever enter your mind. If you were too stupid to not use a prepaid credit card and to create separate and anonymous email account then you're probably going to get what you had coming. Thinking with your small parts first can lead to harm to the larger parts later on.

Unfortunately for those on the list, spammers have your info too, and they are looking at it as a once in a lifetime opportunity to send ads targeted based on your interest in AM. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

I suspect most people won't be as honest as you and reveal that they are on that list in the hope that no one ever finds out. Frankly the list was huge so if you aren't a celebrity than it's unlikely anyone will find out but this being the net than it's always going to be there.

My question to you and anyone else who is on that list is why is it there in the first place? The entire premise of Ashley Madison is for married men to hook up with women.

Watching porn might be considered by some to be cheating on your spouse but actually looking to fuck someone other than your spouse is definitely cheating. Long live the Brown Coats.

Big surprise, the membership at AM was like 95% male. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

Surely most people on their database would be using false names and disposable e-mail accounts?

Also with the huge number of databases getting hacked/stolen/leaked every year, and the fact that something like Ashly Madison would be a massive target for hackers anyway, wasn't this to be expected?

To be honest I'd never heard of the site until yesterday. Is it US only? And isn't encouraging adultery an offence in some places? I'm sure I heard about a chain of hotels up north getting into to trouble for advertising covert adulterous weekends away a few years back. Webmaster of StripGameCentral and A Measure of Curiosity.

The real pain for some of us in this forum would be if some anti-porn hackers got all the info on ccbill or epoch and started publicizing lists of everyone who had ever subscribed to sites with "teen" in their name

The main thing those sites need to do is purge their history. There is no reason at all to maintain records, say, 2+ years in the past.

As to Ashley Madison, I'm still betting on this being an inside job.

I agree with you Pornpundit.

As someone with some technical knowledge of computer and server security I can tell you this. No database or home computer is safe. Right now most of you have a tiny file on your computer you got off of the internet. Wiping the hard drive will not get rid of this file and the pentagon had to trash their servers over it. This file is from China and if they were so inclined they could piggy back other programs onto your computer and steal all of your information. Fortunately most of us are not famous enough to be targets.

I would never cheat on my wife. So I do not use AM. But what I do (Which most of you know about) my wife 100% knows about. So I am in no danger of being exposed. Furthermore I am a member of one of the few Churches that does not spout pornography as a sin.

AM will not survive this as class action lawsuits are already coming from several different countries. But copycat sites will fill the void. In the words of a famous pimp "Men will always need A**, Grass and Gas".

As soon as the information went public the blackmail began. Crooks are going line by line and contacting the people demanding extortion money. This was in the news today.

I do not plan on changing my internet porn habits. 1Ti 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

I'm legally required to keep transaction records for considerably longer than two years. I doubt Verotel or CCBillEU can just delete customer info after such a short period of time. Webmaster of StripGameCentral and A Measure of Curiosity.
