At first I was going to pm Rick or Khan to ask them what we should do. It occurred to me that maybe what they wanted, was for us to just ignore the site totally. I was thinking maybe we should do the opposite and with their permission, register twice just so we could do a review, without joining the site of course, and awarding it 50. I am sure we could do a better review after not joining the site than those other dickheads can do. Maybe the site considers bad publicity better than no publicity. Either way, in the end I don't really care, as it's Rick and Khan's problem, not mine. I am sure they are working on something in the background. If this is the fallout from having this particular system, then they either have to live with it or change it. Either way it isn't my problem. I have made a few comments about how it can be open to exploitation in recent times.

As far as I can make out or care, the site in question seems to consist of some greasy bloke shaving his legs, and shoving objects up his arse (ass if you're American). The site is clearly so bereft of content and quality the reviewers don't dare to give specifications. If anyone reads those phony reviews and then joins the site, they are so ignorant, dumb, and lacking in intelligence, they deserve to lose their money. Those sort of suckers are going to lose their money one way or another. It's the law of natural financial selection.

I wouldn't worry about it. Notice the grayed-out ratings? That means that the users have not really done anything on the site to prove that they are legit and therefore their ratings do not apply to the site's rating. As long as they don't turn green they will have no impact on the site's overall rating. I take graded-out reviews with a grain of salt because they are not necessarily trustworthy. If those rating do start being added in as legit, I'm sure the admins will take a second look at weather or not the users are actually contributing in a meaningful way.

I am just a new member but I can tell you that I am getting quite annoyed at seeing this site reviewed like this. However, being in to the online shemale scene I even thought of taking some quarters and dimes back to the change machine and join, then give an objective review so people could find out what's really going on here. However, the more I thought about it and visiting the site I noticed that I'm not gonna do it. I hope the trust system of these reviews and reviewers will tell others that these reviews are phony, and our obvious comments and replies about the situation will alert others. My 2 cents.

I don't exactly know who's responsible for the amount of fake reviews
that have appeared recently, but the person(s) behind this move may not have realised what that might do to their membership. Now many of us will be twice as cautious about any site attached to their parent companies because of these apparent fake reviews. Long live the Brown Coats.

Well, for the time being (at least) we're not accepting any more Reviews for that site. See the notice at: https://www.pornusers.com/replies_view.html?id=32462

As noted, reviews by brand new users don't count towards a site's overall score. Also note that user who submit obviously biased reviews like we've seen don't earn points for them. Historically, we notice they don't usually hang around either.

Personally, I think it unlikely that they're all just suddenly finding PU from Google and feel compelled to submit a rave review. Situations like this is exactly why we don't push for webmasters to put links to PU on their sites. Early on we discovered that when webmasters send visitors they almost always submit one-sided reviews with little substance .... then never return.

For the most part, regular users using the Trust Rating system (this is actually the exact type of situation is was created for) will help raise caution flags to any new users who may come by and see the reviews.

Anyway, we know it's caused a bit of a disturbance this week and for that we do apologize. We're hoping the temporary suspension of new reviews will bring this unusual activity to an end.

As always, thanks for your continued support of PornUsers and for your understanding as we deal with these types of situations as they arise. Former PornUsers Senior Administrator

Great decision. I'm sure these people (Person? :]) will disappear as a result of this.

In no way do I think it's easy running a site like this. But for what it's worth, I think the decision taken is the best one, even though I may sound critical at times. On the one hand I hate to see a bunch like that get any publicity of any kind, but I am hoping it will be counter productive when people see the comments from the members here.

I would say go after the user(s), not the site, if we or PU were to go after anyone. For now, we don't seem to know if it is the site that is directly responsible for all this bullshit, but just posting a bunch of our own fake reviews with low scores would not help things.

I like the way Khan and the rest of the staff have it set up now -- no reviews allowed and the 'Official Notice' comment to warn potential customers/reviewers. Maybe this will even teach other sites who are even thinking of doing this to think otherwise.

I checked out the previews on the site too (Bastards! All this fuss probably is giving them a little more traffic), but from what I could gather, "Kim" isn't even a real shemale. Instead, it just looks like some crossdressing-anal site.

I really don't want to prejudge too much, or offend genuine trannies and their fans, but it just doesn't look like it has much to offer. I would recommend to GCode to not join, because you could just be falling into a trap laid by all these phony reviews. "It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? As I have said in other place, I completely agree with the Staff decision here. So long as we keep calling them out on this sort of behavior they are not going to win. We need to keep posting heavily on reviews such as these where to encourage people to at least rethink their decisions and understand that the reviews ar extremely one sided.

Posts opposites will not help and is not right either. If I post a 50 just because of all of this guess what, they get a 50 that counts and since it is the only score that is what shows. This is not fair either because I simply do not know what the site has earned. These person(s) posting all these reviews do not count in the sites rating, but of course everyone can still see the review, and all our comments along with them. So we must stay responsible and trustworthy. If I arbitrarily rated them a 50 I would have to find a way to untrust myself! As I recall there was a big stink a few months back about someone admitting to posting reviews without joining the site.

Bottom line: I think the current actions are correct as correct can be here. "For example, badandy400 has taken it upon himself to become the one man Library of Congress for porn with a collection that surely will be in Guinness Book of World Records some day." ~Toadsith~

Well, yes, a slew of "newbies" posting ridiculously lauditory reviews in short order is going to raise suspicions and might even provoke discussion. Makes me wonder just how much they've bothered to familiarize themselves with the community here, which has a certain "vigilante" streak once the shills start popping up on the street corners.

Hey, it's our neighborhood and we're going to keep it clean. Well, something like that. ;)

Kudos to Khan and the other PU staff for their "enforcement."

These type of sites are not my cup o tea, so I won't be checking the site out whatever the score, but each to our own porn likes or dislikes eh.

Well not even the great videobox could get 5 excellent reviews in 3 days. I had to look at the reviews and replies, to see why the hell this site is showing up all the time. At least two of the reviews looked written by the same person, because of the same type of grammar and overuse! of exclamation!! marks!!!

I would bet you guys are completely right with your suspicions, that the reviewer's are either a few different site staff or friends, or the same person using proxies.

This kind of shilling always backfires, as you can see by the responses over there. They usually understand their mistake quickly.
