Illegal Access Porn.

Illegal Access Porn.
A good friend of mine came over and gave me a DVD, it was an obvious copy but the content was new and from a site I had a year ago joined. Quality was very good.

He had made me a copy of porn and we had conversation over this. It became such a good discussion I thought I would start here. I saw similar threads but those didn't seem to tackle my thoughts. He had bought the DVD pennies on the dollar online at a well know consumer site but was a bootleg.

I said how did he buy this off of E*** ? he said that ( being careful not to violate PU rules here) people set up legal business bank account where you can issue multible names for business CC cards. The rest I wont post how they did it. But then go about selling on E*** until busted and they open an new one and start all over. Seems they are using other illegal online access ( you all know what they are ). And then selling them.

I was shocked that they get away with it, seems that E*** and other simply close the user down and have no intent of passing the info to others for prosecution. They rely on the owner of the item stolen or fraudulented to figure it out. I once bought a classic HOT Wheels and it was on this site, It was a fake repainted and sticker-ed, I complained to E*** and FEW months later probably after others complained they closed the user down.

I gave him the DVD back, two reason did not want stolen property and LOL I had most of it anyways legally )

I know free porn sounds awesome, think of the music industry now who is taking it up the ass lately economy and low sales and bootlegging has hit them hard. The older music and royalties is becoming non-existant to some old bands because of the flood on torrents.

Imagine a day when porn or your favorites, close shop cause they lose money. I know I know porn is a billion dollars business, so is music and we know they have been hit.

Don't share porn, it really hurts everyone.
I'd like nothing better then to not have paid for my 6 TB's of porn. But non the less I did. And i told my friend that pisses me off cause I work hard for my money and he is taking advantage of a weakness in the system.
Were cool and everything but he knows I do not want any DVDs Since 2007 Edited on Oct 01, 2011, 07:17am

This is a conversation I've had with friends before - not specifically about porn, but about music, films and software.

I must come across as a bit of a square to them, but I've no interest in getting stuff free that's not meant to be. If you enjoy something and it has value to you, then the people that made it deserve to get paid for their work; if the price is too high then you look for something else you can afford, or that the creator intended to be free.

Part of my own enjoyment of media comes from having reimbursed the creators for it. On a very fundamental level, if I am willing to take it for free, then it follows that I place no value on it - so why would I even want it in the first place?

If only more people thought like that.

As far as I know many of the online auction sites do pass details of dodgy traders on to trading standards or the Police, but those agencies simply do not have the resources to investigate all of the cases (or even most of them). They tend to go after the larger operations when they are within their jurisdiction, but most cases don't even get looked at. Webmaster of StripGameCentral and A Measure of Curiosity.

Yeah it is sad this goes on, porn is great and if you want to see more the only way is supporting the companies that make it, I've spent a lot over the years, I don't think about it, has it been wasted, yeah sometimes it has and I didn't particularly dig a site but end of the day I have my A Listers collection now that I adore. Its for sure worth paying for porn, its also exciting joining a site I find, that first time after you subscribe getting in and having all them movies to search, it's a good feeling. Yeah it's called Videobox. That site and a couple like it have been online for many years and there join price is a joke and yet there is still plenty of people using tube sites for their porn viewing.

I know because I keep seeing request on other forums from newbies that want someone to identify such and such model and I bet you that you'll never guess where they saw her?

That's right a tube site. There's an entire generation of people who don't pay for porn because they think it's free.
It has to be because there are so many tubes sites and they all advertise paying sites. Long live the Brown Coats.

I have joined Video Box before, I thought it was a good deal.
Never had any bad experiences with malware or viruses. They are legit from what I can tell. But the quality varied so much I would end up tossing out allot of stuff. Since 2007

Wait a second... your friend was selling stolen porn? Now that is ridiculous.

I agree that the tube sites hurt the industry, but nowhere nearly as much as someone that sells stolen DVD's. I mean if someone goes to a tube site and is okay with the shitty ads and poor quality they probably weren't going to pay for porn anyway, but if someone who is willing to pay for a DVD buys from someone like your friend instead of buying from a legal site.

Well, I hope my point is obvious. The site that made the product looses a customer, the customer ends up paying the same amount he would pay normally but doesn't get customer service and the nice perks of a legal site, and your friend makes a few bucks that he probably can't translate into a full-time job. Instead of a productive member of society he is a leach and in the end everyone looses.

Damn... that really sucks.

As for the music, movie and gaming industries. With Rhapsody, Netflix/ amazon prime and Steam I have no clue why anyone is bothering with torrents anymore...

Videobox is a ligit site that made deals with most studios to allow their members to download different movies made by those studios. The highest monthly cost is 15$ and yopu get access to over 11,000 movies. The quality varies from movie to movie but it's always superior to any tube site.

Part of the reason why the quality on some of these movies is less than impressive is that the original material was taken from VHS cassettes. Long live the Brown Coats.

I had joined them before, I guess would be nice to have them remove the poor quality stuff. But then that would take away from the over all amount they offer. Since 2007

That and many of those older movies are simply no longer available so this is one of the only legal places where you can still find them. A huge part of the problems with videobox is that many of the movies they offer are really compilation scenes take from any other movies so that you might actually have 5 or more movies on their site that share the same content. I think that is where they should work to clea those movies. Of course that would drop the total number of movies and scenes but it would go a long way in making searching for content easier. Long live the Brown Coats.
