Pornorganizer, Hey guys so here it comes up yet again I know in the past everyone comes up with little fixes etc, but like many others I just have too much to keep in traditional way. Folder are hard because sometimes you do not know stars names and I never organized by sites so that a done deal. I tried niche folders but some became to big to manage. There have got to be a better way to organize movies and pics with some ease. I have thousands and gems I can not find sometimes. I want to organize it once and for all. Does anyone know of a free or paid system that would make this easier. I must have memory issues or something as I am usually great at logistics . But I am just dumb founded to have any reliable resource. kinda frustrated with all this stuff trying to organize.  Since 2007 | |

Good post. I have the same question. I've seen "tags" lately on sites that would be great for my collection (which is set up by model name with subdirectories for each model for the source). But I have no idea how to create "tags" or even if I can. If I could "tag" I would do it by genre (solo, b/g, bj, etc.) by alias(es) and by charachteristics (big naturals, anal, etc.) Edited on May 12, 2013, 08:56am | |

Isn't this sort of the universal problem that hoarders face? You got a pile of stuff but can't even remember what you have. When the forum was just getting started I recall that someone was working on a homemade porn organizer program but nothing ever came of that. The only thing I can think of really is to do tags yourself on EVERYTHING. Yup. You have to be consistent and develop your own criteria. That's really the only way unless you really get into files but the disadvantage is that they can only be organized into single tags to be useful (although folders might be more useful for pictures rather than tagging each pic unless you leave your pics in zip files). Regarding how to tag, with Windows 7 all you have to do is right click on the video or image, click on properties, click on the "details" tab, and then type in the tag names you want on the "tags" line. I believe this is also the case with XP. I got nothing regarding Windows 8. There are probably more sophisticated programs that could do this automatically but you're probably going to have to pay and unless you know these types of programs you're probably shooting in the dark as to how easy and efficient any program might be. | |

Here's how I organize my porn: PICTURES A dozen of folders (ass, amateurs, babes, etc) for my softcore pics and about 5 or 6 folders (anal, blowjob, cumshot, etc) for my hardcore pics. VIDEOS Same number of folders used for my hardcore pics except I class them in different master folders (complete scenes, cut parts, etc). TOOLS & UTILITIES I also use some programs and browser plugins to keep it simple, organized and fast: Fototime Album Pro: See your entire pics collection at once. Batch renaming and tagging. Slideshows and many other features... Save Image In Folder (Firefox Plugin): Quickly save images in pre-defined folders (same softcore and hardcore folders mentionned above) using double mouse click (save in last folder) and right click (opens contextual menu to choose folder to save in). I just use ACDSee. It works fine for me, provided you do the leg work of tagging properly. Cap'n. I did have a look into this a while back, its one of them things I wish I had time to actually getting around to doing but know it would take like a month to solidly do it. But I did think of using Personal Video Database from videodb.info Also this might be worth checking out eazymojo.com Be interested to hear back if you did happen try either of these two to see if they worked out for you. It depends what version you are using, but usually a right click on a file should bring it up, I would have thought. TBH, I just use a fairly strictly defined folder system, based on the site the item was uploaded to. Cap'n. I purchased EasyFlixPix, from easy Mojo. The forum there seem to discuss porn collection, databases etc. Even have porn star info. Why it is not targetted to just porn it is a consideration in its design. I tried last night imported all formats no problems. I will post a review of it when I finish up. Looks very promising. Really good to know Cybertoad that it seems to be working out, yeah I thought they looked to be really considering porn users with what they were developing. Makes sense really as its a gap in the market, millions of people will have porn collections but no one really has filled this gap. Look forward to the review. The program seems to be ok at first glance like I said 7.00 was worth a look . 1. It will find any photo or video format which was cool. 2. It tags and rates photo or videos to . 3. Allows you to sort. The last is where I am stuck it will search and find and allow tagging and the you can search by name too. But I am confused on the category part of it so still looking. As we know much of what we download end up as 1233hgd.avi so a name does not work. it will rename, but trying to find out how the database works. It's a shame that Microsoft scrapped WinFS, as it would have solved the problem of organisation (it was essentially a relational database for the file system, that also took into account the various metadata stored within the file themselves). | |

Yes I agree, the program I am looking at right now has promise. It tags, rates, and searches. The learning curve seems different and I am working with the techs to get it on board. As much as some people make fun of those of us with the big collections (and it's all digital!), it can't be as bad as hoarding ceiling-high piles of junk, with a couple cat skeletons thrown in! If one made one and made it reasonable they would do well. If I may, I like videos and pics I have about 75,000 pics and are sorted in a nightmarish system of hit and miss. A program would need to quick, have tags and searches which most do. But it must be done easily and allow a person to make varied niche areas, or porn stars areas. There is a add on program for Picassa that allows several DB of Picassa to run, so there are some but most as so limited they just do not meet the grade that porn user would need. I have always wished sites would just start including metadata with their files, even if it is just something basic like adding the players and scene type. Perhaps some do? This type of thing has certainly made it easier organizing thousands of songs. Nowadays there is an awful lot of data in any mp3 you get (artist, genre, year, producer...), would be lovely to have the same for porn, or even a subset - then pretty much any robust media player would solve this problem.
