Is there a Porsche in your future? How about a BMW, or a Mercedes? I've never dreamed of owning a Porsche. Thought they were too expensive. But this article shows I might be able to afford a BMW. Or even a Mercedes. But further research is needed, because I am probably over the weight limit (and the height limit) for these cars. Also, I live in California, and these cars are probably not legal on the freeways. ============= ============= http://www.marketwatch.com/story/porsche...r-for-900-2013-06-22 June 22, 2013, 1:41 p.m. EDT Porsche’s new entry level: toy car for $900 By Jonathan Welsh Sports car maker Porsche is rolling out a new model it hopes will attract younger drivers — much younger. The company’s Go-Kart pedal car is designed for children starting at age 5 and can accommodate kids who are as much as 5 feet tall and 110 pounds. The car weighs in at a svelte 55 pounds, the car maker said, because of its unique chassis structure that includes composite parts and a drivetrain setup borrowed from high-end bicycles. Porsche's pedal car for kids has a suggested price of $900. Car enthusiasts will probably rate the kart above garden-variety pedal cars because it has a tubular steel frame, sports-car-style low-profile inflatable tires, sport seat, and hand- and foot-operated brakes. Porsche DE:PAH3 -3.11% said the car also reflects the Intelligent Performance theme of efficiency it uses in the development of full-size road cars. With a base price of $900, the kart is inexpensive compared with grown-up Porsches but pricey for a pedal car. Even among German luxury brands, the Porsche toy’s cost is steep. BMW DE:BMW -2.53% sells a pedal car for about $225 and Mercedes DE:DAI -2.58% has one that sells for $315.

^I guess we can add this one to the reasons why it's okay to hate(I prefer dislike) anyone in the 1% group. What the heel. If you are filthy rich and don't feel like helping your fellow man then why not spend a 1000$ on a pedal car your child will probably never use more than once. Long live the Brown Coats.

Almost bought a BMW once. Price was right and consensus remained undaunted, never yielded or wavered on its reputation of superior workmanship. There was a lot of easy, selfish reasons to add more zeros to my check and drive off the lot in that breathtaking pussy-magnet. But I bit the bullet (actually chewed on it) and opted for a new Datsun instead. Pussy never showed up, but the Datsun otherwise provided me with some of the best memories I had of those times.

graymane, I'm part of the younger generation. I drive a Nissan Maxima, which is only 20 years old. Still drives well, and has given me very few problems over the years.

Good thing you didn't gm, you know what they say about BMWs and porcupines! I have never met a woman who said they would consider dating someone because they had a nice car, but maybe things are different nowadays, or I just don't know the right kind of woman Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars. Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

Always wanted a WRX STI hatchback, probably will never get one though, stick with my more practical manual Honda's and pretend they are fun to drive... Still fine with my 2004 Audi A2. For me, a car is about practicality, reliability & economy. I drive because it is a useful & necessary skill. I would rather be riding one of my motorbikes. Cap'n. There is only so much crap a person with too much money can buy. Maybe a law should be passed that once you reach a certain threshold of wealth you are required to take a six month class from Warren Buffett titled "How to Live Responsibly With Too Much Wealth". If people lived like Warren, not many would be pissed at the 1%. If it ain't grits, it must be a Yankee. If you're going to lay her head over the pool table and fuck her throat, get your fucking hand off her throat!
