There's gold in old porn stashes. Parents must pay $30,441 for getting rid of son's porn cache Associated Press August 27, 2021, 1:20 PM GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (AP) — A judge has ordered a western Michigan couple to pay $30,441 to their son for getting rid of his pornography collection. U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney's decision this week came eight months after David Werking, 43, won a lawsuit against his parents. He said they had no right to throw out his collection of films, magazines and other items. Werking had lived at their Grand Haven home for 10 months after a divorce before moving to Muncie, Indiana. The judge followed the value set by an expert, MLive.com reported. Werking's parents also must pay $14,500 to their son's attorney. After moving to Indiana, Werking learned that his possessions were missing. “Frankly, David, I did you a big favor getting rid of all this stuff," his dad said in an email. | |

You need an expert to value anything old. And then you have to depend he will give an honest opinion. Vinyl records, VHS tapes, coins, whatever. They can be worth a fortune, or very little. I remember seeing a one-ounce China platinum coin listed on ebay for about $32,000, when the melt value was was around $1700. | |

One of my residents buys storage defaulted garages and sells the contents. He found a box of original (not reprints) playboys in near mint condition including the holy grail 1st issue. He accepted a $1200 cash offer for it. He about fainted when I showed him sales online going for over $10,000. I'm a collector of old magazines and have been for...well let's say a ton of years LOL. God I wish I had never thrown my old porno tapes away! I also wonder where you could even buy the old tapes? Ebay wouldn't touch them. You might be surprised that the most prized magazines and printed material ARE NOT the most valuable, the things that people threw away are. For Instance, a NEW York City Yellow pages from 1he 1940's will get you $500.00 on Ebay! A Sears Roebuck catalog, especially the Christmas wish book from say..1945 brings big bucks? Yet 100 issues Of National Geographic that everyone thought would be worth money are not worth the money to ship. Oh just BTW shipping times are becoming insane! Pornpundit | |
