I'm really excited about all this feedback. So far, I jumped ahead to LePee's reply and went straight to my F-drive before getting into my registry. Or using JB's or Squirril's points. What I found was so startling it lifted what little hair I still have straight up. "Dell Recovery (F) .....4.19GB free of 9.99GB Upon opening the drive, this is what I got: list of 9 folders titled as follows: $RECYCLE.BIN Dell Program files Program Data Saved games sources Tools Users Windows Choose and opened "programs files" inside were two other folders labeled common files and Internet Explorer. Opened common files, into which were two more folders labled Microsoft shared and System. Opened system folder: That contained three folders labeled ado, msadc and Ole DB Opened ado and got a list of icons displaying blank paper that I can only gather was once tangble files. all togerher representing not more than a few MBs. I went from there to drive E backup. The complete starage of everything I had on my old Vista operating system before upgrading to Windows 7 Showing on that drive > 419GB free of 9.99GB Opened that to find all my old programs and files gone ....each replaced with the numerous same blank display of a sheet of paper with the top left corner folded down. For all practical purposes, from this layman, he's debating whether everything that was once original downloaded files and folders have gone the same route as those mentioned in beginning of this thread. If anyone can get anything from what might be looked upon so far from me as unintelligible gibberish explaining this problem, and still can throw anything my way, before I bring in my hit-man ... the welcome mat is still out. I the meantime, I'm following through on what so far has been thoughtfully laid-out by jberry, squirrel, LePee and the toad..  | |

I donno, mess ..... it might not be "what did I ever see in her" ......but what you did see just wasn't improved upon or creatively going anywhere. To Khan and exotics: I followed exotic's instruction, and all the while each step I took on the way up to the top gave me more assurance these guys really know what they're talking about; His suggestion was tech-book level and just looking like my answer was just around the corner.. Just occurred to me.... ever thought of purchasing a software that's primarily geared to knock those suckers on their collective asses. My virus software keeps all of them out. Although I wouldn't recommend them because of some mean issues they've saddled me with. | |

Well, many thanks for the saying, Sir. I can always use the help. As luck is well overdue, I think I may be right in answering your kind inquiry by saying the unit is a Dell, originally came with Vista operating system but upgraded to Windows 7 Premium edition. The only thing "premium" about it, however, is it's generosity opening the door for sundry attackers from the four corners of the world. I was getting used to their rude habits and figured I'd live with it........ until my last main reason for living was being swiped from right under my nose....... well, by golly, I'm mad, an I'm goin' to my old dust-covered trunk, wiping away the cobwebs, and I'm extracting my two 44-calbers, testing the gun-belt fit around my ample waist, and, depending the forum's outcome, I shall later track down the ornery low-down vermin who's behind all this. Think about it ..... you open a folder that you once labeled with files you downloaded from a particular site, and you get a message telling you that the folder is empty. I shook it off when first I discovered it was happening. But the problem has grown and I'm loosing an alarming number of my favorite pics and vids. I haven't taken an inventory because I'm afraid Of what I might find. I know I can get another exterior drive to transfer what I can, but that'll take a lot of time because I'll have to view and clear any transferrables containing blocks that'll kick back files that came from another computer. Anybody out there who might have answers as to what or who's the culprit that could lead to a cause? I sure would appreciate anything you can throw this way that could help. I won't go into my once negative approach concerning the subject of "anal" solely in respect for those here whom I've grown, at least on my end, (pun clearly intended) quite close to as a fellow member, and among them whose fetish I've now come to have an enlightened and deepened respect. Wow! this thread must'a turned on it's after-burners. Even bought out some older members who've been in hibernation. I've been using IE almost exclusively ever since my first computer. However, every once an a while my IE acts up, and I switch over to Firefox. And doggone-it, I find that I really, really like FF. But I always go back to IE. I simply can't shake my attachment to the dammed thing! Lately, though, IE is wandering off again into it's lazy mode. Seems if it doesn't like something I click on, it lays down and quits! (crashes) But with all due respect, it never fails to leave some indication it's sorry. Sorry, yes, but under another definition? | |

I rarely post in this thread, but I do visit it from time to time because I find the exchange between the few avid PU regulars who post here, and keep it humming, to be more entertaining than what the movie industry itself churns out. I used to be a big fan of the late critics Siskel and Ebert.-- Would'nt miss their weekly TV show for the world. Yo, Rick ..... (be aware this question is coming from a long-time user but still a computer neophyte) jberry recently posted a piece on the unpredictability of harddrives. Are you, or is it on the table, or just completely gonna be a no-no: see below ..... Have you thought of having a feature we can use to back up our data rather than continuingly worrying about our drives "crashing?" I know we have external drives but I figure they're vulnerable to all kinds of attacks that can still corrupt its content. | |

Let me assure you, jook, the site is loaded with Latino. I can only guess you can't get excess to it unless you join. I clicked on the link I provided here and it dropped me off on PU's Best of Porn page. Personally Download 'til the cows come home, but I'm sure Skin Video blocks any and all outgoing links to files. My old review of SV plus some others are listed on PU's Best of Porn. You might wanna look in on that. Very sorry about that, jook. I'll check that out. I've had a long-running continuous subscription to the site for over ten years, and it is only recently that odd changes are occurring that's got me bothered. I think all this has to do with them attempting to diversify or expand and have bitten off more than they can chew. The site started out as Guba, but a couple years ago broke off and doing mostly only non-porn now. All the more reason comprehensive testing for HIV being paramount in this business. It's still my guess that those who're contracting this deadly virus are getting it from outside the industry. Oh yes ... how I do recall the hard preaching against "dancin'" And yes ....I am a Southern boy. And lemme tell'ya ....we had these kind of preachers coming out of the woodwork. Big tents would spring up all around. Didn't have to know where they were, just follow shouting. As a lad .I remember when Oral Roberts came to town ..... recall him at one revival meeting pointing his finger at the crowd and warning that somebody fitting my description is being called upon to come to the alter to repent. Tears rollin' down his cheek he seemingly pointed at me and cried out if I resisted that I would later be hit by a truck ,,,,going out into eternity lost and without God. Naturally that meant a ticket to hell wherein I'd burn eternally. Not wanting to give up my vices, I harried outta the meeting that night scared shitless. Also, for a long time thereafter, I was over-cognoscente about walking in traffic. Its rather ironic, as years passed, I discovered that a fast route to pussyville is being a good dancer. Always naturally agile on my feet, I took to it like a pig to slop. Got so good at jitterbug I was winning contests. Even got myself laid by the local preacher's daughter. Long ago I isolated the word "fornication," mainly because I simply loved the way it rolls off one's tongue upon pronunciation. Also, it has "sin" written all over it. as a youth, indoctrinated to the word fornication from repeated Sunday church services and every night of the week in the event a revival was in progress, I was solidly introduced to the word. I was thereafter repeatedly introduced to the word by Hellfire-an-Brimstone, Bible-thumpers from whom I always seemed to be the object of their exhortation on sinners. Couldn't shake the feel of their preaching directly at me. Somehow during that era I had associated the word to masturbation ...... a practice I'd grown to become extraordinarily fond of .....as well as one I fought mightily to quit because of hearsay claiming such nightmares as palm-hair-growth, memory-destroying, energy-sapping, and shockingly stunting of growth. fiercely aesthetic as time passed and girls became my main interest, as I got older, I found myself checking my palms anytime hand-holding was called for. I was near adulthood before all that stuff ceased to make sense. I now grieve myself to tears thinking back to all the pussy I let fly out the window because of those antiquated brainwashing.
