In 2018, President Trump revealed in his tweets, after the G-7 summit meeting in Charlevoix, Quebec, that Mr. Trudeau was “very dishonest and weak” and makes “false statements.” That is why the Canadian dollar is so weak. Once President Trump uses his war powers and instructs our Armed Forces to invade Canada, bringing Truth and Justice and the American Way of Life to our neighbors to the north, the Canadian dollar will soar. (Or maybe it will disappear, and a more solid, dependable US dollar will replace that debased currency.) God bless Donald Trump, the leader of the Free World, the hope of Democrats everywhere. Be warned, Canada. Be good to the United States of America. Or face the consequences. (I'm running out of my meds and need to get my pharmacy to refill my prescriptions. President Trump has decided the US Constitution is no longer valid. He will submit a new Constitution, that is easier to read, and more useful. Since Trump will be the guiding light for the new Constitution, everyone will be happy, and be allowed to read the Constitution, even while at home or at work or on holiday. On March 1, 2017, nearly six weeks after President Trump had raised his right hand and swore to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, he struggled to read aloud the words of the founding document. A film crew had come to the White House to record the new president reading a section of the Constitution. Trump chose to participate in the HBO production because he did not want to forgo the chance to be filmed for history, and he knew that as the sitting president he would be the documentary’s most important character. The documentary, titled The Words That Built America, was directed by Alexandra Pelosi, a daughter of House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. Her conceit was that the country was starkly divided after the ugliness of the 2016 campaign, but the founding documents remained a unifying force for the nation’s factions. Pelosi and her team had a novel and distinctly bipartisan hook: All six living presidents, as well as six vice presidents, would join in reading the Constitution on camera, and other political figures and actors would read portions of the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence. Each performance would be edited to create a lively, unabridged reading of the treasured documents that have united the nation for more than two centuries. On March 1, Pelosi and her crew arrived at the White House, and as they were getting ready in the Blue Room, Trump entered the opulent parlor, which sits at the center of the residence’s first floor and opens onto the South Portico. The Blue Room, distinguished by its French blue draperies and gold wallpaper, is steeped in history. It was where President Grover Cleveland and his wife exchanged wedding vows in 1886, and every December the White House’s primary Christmas tree is erected at the center of the oval-shaped room. On this day Trump seemed stiff and uncomfortable. Though he was technically in his own home, he did not greet his guests. Rather, he stood waiting for someone to approach him. The mention of “orange” struck some in the room as an odd choice. Outside the bubble of the White House, late-night TV show hosts and cartoonists had been mocking the perpetually orange hue of Trump’s skin. Pelosi had let presidents and vice presidents choose the portion of the Constitution they wanted to read. Many were wary of reading the section on the rules for impeachment or foreign emoluments. Trump had selected the opening of Article II, the part of the Constitution that addresses a president’s election and the scope of his or her power. It would normally have been the perfect selection for a president—but was an ironic one for Trump, who had spoken of his desire to exercise his executive power as much as possible, including by threatening Congress and challenging the judiciary. With LED lights on stilts in front of him, Trump took his seat. “You’re lucky you got the easy part,” Pelosi told him cheerfully. “It gets complicated after this.” But the president stumbled, trying to get out the words in the arcane, stilted form the founding fathers had written. Trump grew irritated. “It’s very hard to do because of the language here,” Trump told the crew. “It’s very hard to get through that whole thing without a stumble.” He added, “It’s like a different language, right?” The cameraman tried to calm Trump, telling him it was no big deal, to take a moment and start over. Trump tried again, but again remarked, “It’s like a foreign language.” The section, like many parts of the Constitution, was slightly awkward—an anachronistic arrangement of words that don’t naturally trip off the tongue. Members of the crew exchanged looks, trying not to be obvious. Some believed Trump would eventually get it, but others were more concerned. The president, already bristling about his missteps, was getting angry. He chided the crew, accusing them of distracting him. “You know, your paper was making a lot of noise. It’s tough enough,” Trump said. “Every time he stumbled, he manufactured something to blame people,” another person in the room recalled. “He never said, ‘Sorry, I’m messing this up.’ [Other] people would screw up and say, ‘Ohhhh, I’m sorry.’ They would be self-effacing. He was making up excuses and saying there were distracting sounds.… He was definitely blaming everyone for his inability to get through it. That was prickly, or childish.” Though stiff, he eventually made it through without any errors. Trump presented a stark contrast to many other readers, including the Supreme Court associate justice Stephen Breyer, who read as if he knew the full text by heart, and Senator Ted Cruz, who “knew it from beginning to end” as a result of performing dramatic readings of the Constitution as a high school student, according to Pelosi. “Donald Trump is a celebrity and he came to perform,” she said. “He had not practiced it beforehand. President Trump should be fired from his job for allowing the country to spend millions of dollars on a hoax. The impeachment trial is a hoax, President Trump states. Yet he has allowed Congress and the Democrats to spend millions of dollars on this hoax. Do we need a president that allows Democrats to spend our taxpayer dollars in such a wasteful way? We don't. Fire Trump, and replace him with someone who can lead the country better. As a side note: throw all Republicans in prison. Take away their salaries and bonuses and retirement accounts. Then burn them at the stake, to save on our heating bills. Republicans are the "Say Nothing Party, the Do Nothing Party." So they deserve to be burned at the stake. God bless America. He’s the president of the United States, his work doesn’t stop because of the silliness going on in D.C.” Trump spoke to a crowd of mostly business elites, many of whom have benefited from the surge in the stock market under his term as well as his corporate tax cuts. Despite Trump's populist, anti-globalist rhetoric that helped get him elected, Trump has sought to bolster his relationship with Wall Street and the business community, often inviting executives to the White House and touting how his administration has enriched them. Trump has meetings throughout the day with business executives, the prime minister of Pakistan, president of the European Commission, and president of the Swiss Confederation. He is expected to travel back to Washington on Wednesday. Those meetings could also give Trump the opportunity to take questions from reporters during photo ops. The Senate will resume their impeachment trial Tuesday afternoon where a number of procedural items are expected to be raised. Did LANewGirls.com go out of business? I asked for the site to be listed one or two years back, but never saw it listed at PU. They had some cute models. It was a site where they interviewed aspiring models and got them to give blow jobs and to fuck. Some of the videos were hot. But when I try to find the site today, it seems to have disappeared. Maybe it went bust. Which happens with a lot of porn sites. Edit: found the problem. The site is listed as LANewGirl.com, not LANewGirls.com. So it's still around. But still not listed at PU. I will always protect your Pre-Existing Conditions, the Dems will not!” Trump’s “win in court” reference is about a lawsuit, backed by the Justice Department, that if successful would result in the overturning of the Affordable Care Act (the ACA, or Obamacare). If that happens, many Americans with pre-existing conditions could lose their coverage entirely or face significantly higher premiums, unless and until an alternative is passed. Without protections for pre-existing conditions provided by Obamacare, the Kaiser Family Foundation estimated in 2015 that up to 52 million people could be denied coverage. Others would lose insurance if the Medicaid expansion that was adopted by dozens of states and D.C. was killed. A full repeal with no immediate replacement plan could also hurt the fight against opioid addiction and HIV. Republicans insist they want to pass a plan that requires insurers to offer coverage for pre-existing conditions, but analysts consider that meaningless without a mechanism to control or subsidize premiums. Insurers will not, on their own, cover people with predictable medical expenses at a price that guarantees they will lose money. That was the problem the ACA sought to address with its controversial individual mandate, which was meant to spread the cost of insurance over a broader base that would include healthy people. That mandate was repealed in the 2017 Republican tax bill. Bloomberg’s campaign has been running an ad that characterizes Trump's plan as "repealing Obamacare, threatening coverage for millions of Americans." Trump promised “the best [health care] ever by far” if Republicans retake the House, but in the first two years of his term, the GOP did have control of the House of Representatives and made a sustained effort to replace Obamacare with a new plan. The Congressional Budget Office found in March 2017 that the American Health Care Act (AHCA), their proposed replacement, would have knocked 14 million people off of insurance in one year and 24 million more by 2026, while the AARP estimated it would raise health care costs for older Americans by thousands of dollars. The Republican House passed an amended version of the AHCA in May 2017, leading to a Rose Garden celebration with Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan, but it died in the Senate. The legislation would have slashed Medicaid for low-income Americans, despite Trump’s repeated promises to the contrary. The July 2017 “skinny repeal” vote that barely failed in the Senate following “no” votes from Republican Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and John McCain was estimated by the CBO to result in 16 million more uninsured Americans by 2026 and a 20 percent rise in premiums. Actuaries calculated that thousands more Americans would have died sooner if the Obamacare replacements had passed. Trump has promised the best health care plan with no real details since the early days of his campaign. Trump began making the promises in a September 2015 interview with “60 Minutes,” making vague promises when pressed by Scott Pelley on how he would fix it. “There’s many different ways, by the way,” said Trump. “Everybody’s got to be covered. In addition, Obama’s far fewer trips were cheaper for the public because he often played at military bases within a short drive from the White House. Collins then called his son, another shareholder, from the South Lawn of the White House to tell him about the news and to plan for them to dump the stock. The next morning Collins, his son and the father of his son’s fiancée sold their stock in the company before the drug test failure was announced and while a freeze on trading was in place for the company’s shares in Australian stock markets. They each saved hundreds of thousands of dollars by selling early. The company stock plunged 92% after it publicly announced the drug’s failed test. Well before Collins broke the law, his odd position as the largest shareholder of Innate Immuno attracted attention. The Wall Street Journal and The Buffalo News both reported in January 2017 on suspicious trades Collins and other House Republican lawmakers made as Congress passed a bill that included provisions beneficial to Innate Immuno and other biotechnology firms. He also reportedly bragged to colleagues about how many “millionaires I’ve made in Buffalo.” After seeing his political profile soar as an early backer of President Donald Trump, former Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) is headed to prison. PU has a system where they award badges for certain accomplishments. In consultation with PU member Wraith0711, we have decided to open a thread where we can discuss the merits of the PU site awarding a new badge for meritorious service by PU members: the 4K membership badge. This badge could be worn proudly on the chest or crotch of the PU member's T-shirt, signifying his, her, or its membership in the PU site and the ideals it stands for. Interested members can either post their thoughts on this thread, or in private emails to darling Freddie, the PU staff member who is currently looking after the needs of the PU members in good standing. As proof of earning the 4K membership badge, a member could either submit copies of cash register receipts for 4K equipment, or download records from porn pay sites showing a monthly data download exceeding 50 GB on 5 consecutive days. Requests from PU members should be brought to Freddie's attention, and to any other PU staff members who would be involved in the creation of such a badge of merit. I second the idea that PU and TBP should include a separate notice, in bold letters or highlighted for easy recognition, if there are: -Streaming limits -Download limits -If a site or network charges a separate fee for downloads. At the TBP site, the reviews, show, under the "Misc" heading, if there are download limits. But it seems the trend is for more sites to charge extra for downloads, or to use that as a premium feature (to charge a separate fee for downloads). Wow Girls + Wow Porn offered a streaming only membership for a short while, but then dropped it. Adult Time offers a streaming only membership for a lower price than a membership that includes unlimited streaming + unlimited downloads. A short while back, the PU staff asked for ideas on what a review should be. I believe the PU staff then decided they didn't need to make any changes in the review requirements. But it would be helpful to many members, if PU reviews, and TBP reviews, made clear, if there are any limits on streaming or downloads, and if a site/network charges extra for downloads. Couple calls 911 after mistaking vacuum for home intruder: 'Better safe than sorry' Gabrielle Sorto, AOL.com Dec 26th 2019 12:40PM A North Carolina couple called 911 this week after they believed there was an intruder in their home — but police ended up finding something much less threatening. Thomas Milam and his wife, Elisa Milam, called the police after they heard loud noises coming from the downstairs of their home, Fox 8 reported. The couple hid in the closet, thinking there was an intruder in their home. Officers from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department investigated and rather than finding an intruder, they found a stuck robotic vacuum. The Milams had only bought the Eufy robotic vacuum, which they named Harry, a couple of days ago, so they weren't used to it mulling around the house. The vacuum had somehow managed to turn itself on and got stuck. It was banging into a wall, which explained the noises that sent the Milams to hide in their closet. "(The officers) all just started laughing because they knew it was just one of those things but they were all great," Thomas told Fox 8. "They had great attitudes about it." Although the couple said they were embarrassed by the situation, they don't regret calling the police. I wouldn't be able to climb through my car door window. Because I am weak, and have had different illnesses. And it would take someone in fit physical condition to be able to climb through a car window. Not someone who is almost crippled, in poor health. Especially if your starting position is the driver's seat of the car. The cops should have just shot the suspect. It would have been easier on the cops, and suspect. Less effort, less pain. Support your local police. The police have a tough and sometimes dirty job, trying to keep the public safe. So they deserve our support. The man, 52-year-old David Glen Ward, died shortly after the encounter. The bodycam footage was released on Friday as part of a video posted online by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. In the video, Sheriff Mark Essick apologized to Ward’s family and explained that his deputies mistook Ward, who’d reported his car stolen on Nov. 24, as the possible carjacker. Ward had not informed authorities he’d recovered his vehicle, Essick said, so deputies pursued the car when they spotted it the morning of Nov. 27. Instead of pulling over, however, Ward sped off and led police on a five-mile pursuit before finally stopping on a dead-end street, the sheriff said. “What our deputies did not know at the time was that Mr. Ward was not only the owner of the car, but the victim of the earlier carjacking,” Essick said in the video. “The suspect had pistol-whipped him and stolen his car. Mr. Ward had recovered the car, but failed to report it. It remains a mystery as to why he fled from our deputies.” Still, the sheriff described the actions of Deputy Charlie Blount, who slammed Ward’s head against the side of a car and placed him in a chokehold after finally stopping the vehicle, as “extremely troubling.” “As a result, I have served Deputy Blount with a notice of termination. Blount then puts Ward into what appears to be a carotid restraint, a hold that blocks a person’s carotid arteries and causes them to lose consciousness. As The Washington Post noted, several police departments banned the maneuver in the 1980s and 1990s after it was linked to the deaths of suspects. Following Ward’s death last month, the community arm of Sonoma County’s law enforcement oversight office recommended the sheriff’s office ban carotid restraints ― calling Ward’s death “a wake-up call.” After being placed in the chokehold, Ward ― unconscious ― was pulled from car. Officers initially said he was breathing, but later expressed concern that he’d stopped. Another sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene and identified Ward as the rightful owner of the car. “This is the owner of this car. That’s David Ward,” the officer says, noting that he has “no idea why [Ward] ran. The Marin County Coroner’s Office is reportedly still probing Ward’s death. Essick said he released the bodycam footage “so the community can get as full a picture as possible about critical incidents in our county, regardless of whether it puts us in a good light or bad.” “Please know that this one person does not reflect the culture of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office and does not represent the hardworking men and women who work here,” Essick added. Catherine Aguilera, Ward’s half-sister, told the Press Democrat that her brother had lived with disabilities and serious health issues including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and a heart condition. He pardoned a child rapist who was sentenced to 23 years in prison just last year. Baker’s brother hosted an event last year that raised $21,500 for Bevin. Democratic State Rep. I haven't been following the case closely. But I can easily understand that the Hollywood factor attracts more attention than "ordinary" citizens who have not gained national prominence. My understanding of the cases is shallow. But the justice system is, to my belief, lopsided and strongly in favor of people with money, power, influence. Back in the 1970s, I read of a poor smuck who took an old chair from an abandoned house in Georgia, near where I was living at the time. The poor smuck was sentenced to over 4 years in prison for his crime. Taking old chair (worth maybe $2 or less) from an abandoned house. People who steal millions of dollars are sentenced to far less time. Better lawyers, I assume, along with associates who testify how wonderful these multi-million dollar thieves are. So the justice system is based on fighting for your rights. If Loughlin wants to fight, more power to her. This is completely different from what the Asian culture teaches: where people are supposed to confess guilt and shame after being accused. Just a different way of behaving, I guess. Look at Donald Trump. The telflon Don. Deny everything, no matter what the evidence shows. The evidence is only a bunch of lies, anyway. And Trump is proud of how smart he is: he tells lies, people believe his lies, and he is proud that he is smarter than they are. Watch almost any crime on TV or at the movies: Yes, those are fictions. But the common theme that recurs is that "lawmen", which includes prosecutors, are the entitled ones. They are heroes fighting for justice. So when a cop shoots and kills some unarmed black teenager who is running away, the cop is only doing his job: and 9 times out of 10 (or more often), the cop is not arrested for murder. Instead, the police department praises the cop for doing his job. How many times in a year do cops shoot and kill unarmed suspects? Read the news. The cops are only doing their job. And they no longer have to say it was self-defense. (Although, they do bring up that defense, saying they thought the suspect was reaching for a weapon, or did not follow lawful orders from the cop.) Read newspaper accounts more closely. The cop orders the suspect: "Don't move." At the same time, the cop says: "Show me your hands." And then the cop shoots the suspect, because how can you not move, and at the same time, show your hands? You can't. You're breaking the law, if you show your hands. You're also breaking the law, if you don't show your hands. And it's a matter of pride (and maybe frustration) when you're doing your job: making the streets safe by arresting or killing suspects. I don't do drugs (except for meds prescribed by my doctor). I was in my 60s. I wasn't acting strange. I was walking. For exercise. The cops finally said that a neighbor reported me for acting strange. I accepted that, not that I thought I did anything strange, but that a neighbor who did not know me thought I was a suspicious character on her street. I showed the cops my drivers license, that showed my current address was two streets down. That I lived there. (I assumed that gave me the right to walk on the streets, since I lived in the area.) The cops said I could go. They didn't arrest me. (They also asked what I did for a living, and a few other questions.) The cops said I could go. They were just doing their job. I very rarely walk in my neighborhood any more. Pains of old age, also I was frightened by the experience with the cops. A relative was married to a cop. I heard some stories about what some cops have done. And I read in the paper about cops shooting and killing people all the time, for little or no defensible reason, and the cops almost always get off. No punishment for killing or beating a person. I’m not trying to hide the fact that I have disdain for the accusations in the process.” He continued to say he didn’t “need any witnesses” during a potential trial in the Senate, even though the White House has largely blocked many officials with direct knowledge of Trump’s behavior from speaking to lawmakers. The House is set to vote on two articles of impeachment against the president in the coming days related to his behavior surrounding a call with the leader of Ukraine: One for abuse of power and the other on obstruction of Congress. Trump has been accused of pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into a political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son in exchange for the release of nearly $400 million in military aid and a prestigious visit to the White House. If the impeachment articles are passed, Trump would become just the third president in American history to be impeached. The Senate would hold a trial early next year to determine if he should be removed from office, but two-thirds of the chamber would have to vote to do so, which is unlikely as Republicans currently hold a 53-47 majority.
