I love pantyhose, but not in a sex scene. I like the way it makes legs look, especailly with a short skirt. But the often seen ripped or pulled aside does nothing for me. I like sex scenes to be naked.

I am totally unimpressed with Best Buys Geek Squad. When I needed a new video card they quoted me $120 and told me it would take a week. I went to a guy near my house who fixes computers and he sold me one for $25. He installed it in 10 minutes. I watched him twist some wires and that was all he had to do.

Traci Lords had a bit of a mainstream career after porn. I remember seeing her on Married with Children and I know she was on several other shows. Although I don't at all consider nude modeling as porn, many did that first.

I for one could never go for thin to emaciated looking women. I like a little meat on the bones. Shaved heads are also too weird for me. I like hair on the head as well as down below. I have enough trouble with shaved pussies so the idea of shaved heads gives me nightmares. I don't like dildos either. Just call me old fashioned.

Hi Mistresskent, As someone on the list of many points, I don't think your idea is practical. I agree that it would be a plus for someone like you to get reviews from trusted PUers, but there is still a question for me of keeping that trust. There would inevitably be a question as to bias, just because access was free. Another matter to consider is that of point of view. TBP reviewers often review sites that they would never join, simply because they don't find the content interesting. I think that if I did the same, my bias against the content would take away some of my objectivity. I join sites I hope I will like. Sometimes I like the content and sometimes I am disappointed. That is how you earn trust from others.

I am adamantly against the death penalty anywhere. Stoning is really barbaric. However, we non Muslims should still have at least a minimal respect for every religion. If we don't give respect, we cannot ever get it in return. Burning the Koran is wrong, wrong, wrong. If Muslims stone for adultery for any crime that is wrong, wrong, wrong. These issues are not about making comparisons. If someone is wrong they deserve to be criticised. But we should not stoop to name calling or acting in ways we should not. Separation of church and state in a multicultural country or even a multicultural world requires respecting others and being fair. I agree that Muslims are overly sensitive regarding thier religion, but lets not make this an issue of us and them. They are us and we are them. Memories of the past still haunt us in Muslim countries. There is still resentment towards the West regarding the crusades, hundreds of years ago as well as colonialism in more recent times. Make yet another source of resentment and how can we ever get past it? Sorry but needlessly offending others is just not acceptable. Edited on Sep 10, 2010, 11:49am

Originally master and mistress were the same in meaning the only difference being gender. Look what happened over time though, as mistress only has a negative connotation. But regarding the word webmaster, it just is not appropriate for a female, just like there are no firewomen or mailwomen. I like Capn's word-webmanager.

That is very decent of you to offer breaks for those members that have been loyal. I also see on your site that you have given a preference to those models that need the money. I started using IDM only recently. It works great if you are downloading about three or four videos simultaneously. However, I find that more than that and the downloads all stop or are only at a few, less than 10kbps. Is this your experience as well? Is there a way to avoid the videos from simply stopping downloading?

In the past in western cultures ankles were considered very sexy. In Muslim culture right now, even hands must be covered, let alone faces. I have known Muslim women who are so covered I could not recognize those I knew. Are women so tempting that any sight of flesh drives men completely crazy? Orthodox Jews separate men and women for social events as well as praying because women and their sexual attractions keep men from devoting themselves completely to God. They also forbid opposite gender touching of any kind after childhood. Muslims do that also. If someone wants to hug their daughter in law, that is absolutely forbidden, even though that is completely non sexual. If a customer is due change, both Muslims and Orthodox Jews put the money on the counter so they don't have to put the change in a customer's hand. This nonsense is craziness on steroids. Turboshaft you are completely right about this ridiculousness.

PP there is a religious argument in favor of porn. In the Bible it says be fruiful and multiply. If porn is used to get in the mood for sex, show new ideas and positions, etc. relighions should embrace it. Call me crazy, but I don't see a conflict between our natural selves who like sex and the use of porn. Where do some people get the idea that religion frowns on sex? I know it says that adultery is bad, but what is the problem with sex itself? If God made us to enjoy sex, what problem is there? The problem is in how people twist the message.

In the course of my job I meet many Muslims. The only fanaticism that I see on a regular basis is an inordinate sensitivity towards what they perceive as insults to their religion. The current debate fosters that mistrust, and the terrorists get recruiting ads. Most mainstream non terrorist Mulsims already feel uncomfortable with the minority status they have in non Muslim countries. Something essential about freedom of religion is that the majority must protect the rights of religious minorities. If some Americans are offended by a mosque, as far as I am concerned that is overreacting and stereotyping. Minority rights must be protected, even of, and especially of, those we don't feel are like us. The reason we have rights is not for those we like and agree with, but for those we disagree with. We are all minorities in some way, and we all can find something that is offensive if we are objectively honest. I don't like religious fanatics or even fundamentalists, but we have to let them speak and preach. I find much of the smug certainty as to what they feel is the only correct way to live to be completely offensive. However, I would never dream of taking away their abilities to speak or build a church anywhere they want. Many evil acts have taken place in the name of religion, but do we worry where the followers of any religion build their places of worship? In the past followers of Catholicism burned non believers at the stake during the Inquisition. Thoroughly offensive, but yet churches are built near synagogues. Edited on Aug 27, 2010, 07:32pm

Somewhat off the topic of tats and piercings, I agree with turbo about trying those under 18 as adults. This is just wrong, regardless of the crime. Why have separate laws for the underage if prosecutors can ignore them if a case hits the news?

Last night I went to Greenwich Village in New York. I saw two women holding hands and obviously a couple that had nose piercings, lip piercings and so many tattoos visible that I suspect that they had many more under their clothes. I am grateful that they did not mysteriously appear in a porn video that I was watching. Complete turnoff.

I am of the generation that went to college in the 60's and I must disagree that it was easier to get into college then. It is true there were fewer students, BUT there was a big building boom in the late 60s and early 70s where colleges added a lot of buildings and more classrooms. Also, the philosophy arose that going to college should be for everyone and community colleges expanded greatly. The rules for entrance into community college right now, today, are that they legally must accept any high school graduate that applies. What is true is it was always difficult to get into the top schools. However, now almost anyone can go to college somewhere. I am an adjunct professor of English and I can tell you that our general opinion is that the proficiency in language skills has deteriorated. I mostly teach freshman English writing along with ESL writing and find that the average student would have been considered remedial level in the 60s. Don't be confused that grades are higher as we in academia are guilty of grade creep. It is much, much easier to get an A now than it was then. College admissions officers know this and readily admit this fact. By the way I am not particularly bothered by text speak as long as they also can use standard English properly.

They may not have the same revenue amounts to work with, but if we pay the same amount for each the comparison is fair. A great site at $29.95 is a fair comparison to one that has little content with poor quality at the same price. I expect a small site to charge less than a larger one.

I haven't had this happen to me, but I can think of nonporn stories like this. Many years ago I was a dealer in what I can only call baseball cards, but in this case the card was of a hockey player. I had maybe a hundred of them, as he was on the New Jersey Devils and local cards sell very well. They weren't moving at all, so I put them in the bargain section at three for a dollar. The problem was that he was not well known when he signed and was sitting on the bench. Finally he got his chance to play and I repriced him at a dollar. I soon got out of the business and got "stuck" with about 75 rookie cards of Marty Brodeur, a shoo in hall of famer. Kind of reminds of Brian Leech on the Rangers. When I was in the business he was 50 cents for his rookie card and you couldn't give them away at any price. Now, he is in the hockey Hall of Fame. Another crazy example is what was then some unknown guy on the Yankees. I couldn't sell his cards at all, but by now everybody has heard of Derek Jeter. I have about $500 of his early cards sitting in my basement. Edited on Jun 06, 2010, 12:46pm

For me, an addiction involves at a minimum that there are negative social consequences to behavior that has gotten out of control. It most definitely does not mean frequency of behavior. I like many things, such as chocolate cake. Am I an addict in regard to those things? Not necessarily. Look at Capn's response number 13. I have collected many things in my life, such as stamps, rare coins, postcards, baseball cards, decorative liquor bottles and unusual cigarette lighters. That is in my personality. Does that make me an addict? I am curious what the definition of addict is for the purposes of this study. You say it is "off of", I would say "from" literature. Is it consequences based or only descriptive and open to subjective opinion? Edited on May 27, 2010, 01:29am

I wish you luck with your project. I took the survey and am not convinced that the section on porn measures anything. The questions do not get at the essence of the original research project-specifically if some are collectors and not addicts. What is your definition of collector, or of addict? How did you validate your survey? Without validation you can't really know if you are measuring what you think you are. How are you triangulating your results? In other words knowing a few facts about your respondents is fine, but how do you measure what other surveys or research methods might show? I also believe that you need a lot of questions about the motivation needed to look for porn. Surely there are other reasons than to look for beastiality or underage models. What percentage of porn collectors or addicts look for either? Do you have even a working hypothesis? If not, why ask these questions? I have an MA and did a research project using a well known survey. It had been used for years in many contexts and its validity was well researched. I found the results inadequate without triangulating against other research methods. Edited on May 25, 2010, 05:20am

Very interesting as well as accurate analysis. Yes, I would prefer to try out some site that has not been reviewed before. I don't see much of a need to write a review of sites that have many reviews. I trust the accuracy as well as the opinions of those who have written many reviews much more so than those who have done only a few. Many times I could have done a review of sites within a network that I have joined that are well known, but what is the point of that?

I see niche sites as being in their own category. If they do well at them, they get favorable reviews. What it takes to get in the top ten is to have ONLY top scoring reviews. For a more general mainstream site to break into the top ten is more difficult as there is a much bigger market for them. For a site that is large to get consistently high scores is close to a miracle. I liked fuckinggamble, as I joined for just a trial. But it can't be compared to video box with its huge number of reviews, for example. Just apples and oranges. Edited on Apr 17, 2010, 03:05pm

Andy I think you are referring to her saying to get some balls. By the time she wrote that I was totally disgusted with how she had conducted herself. The way she attacked was completely in character and showed anyone who had doubts what she was all about. In case you were wondering why I agreed that she would not be a good candidate for an interview, she had made inappropriate postings in other threads to the point that I lost all respect for her. Yes I was surprised, but not very. If Khan had not intervened, I would have responded in a way that would have been not very PU. I am slow to anger, but she would have seen the wrath of mbaya. Instead she got the wrath of Khan. Honestly I felt she should have been banned just for that alone. I hope that someday we will have interviews with webmasters such as ED2009 and Advent.

However, when I saw Exotics being attacked personally, I just had to react. I asked, demanded, that 350Z apologize. He did not. He attacked again and then disabled his account. I felt that I tried and that a few others did as well, but these newbies brought the consequences on themselves.
