Your English is fine, don't worry. I joined PU because of a similar problem with a website. I stayed and continued posting because of the quality of the users and their advice. I hope you also stay active and post some reviews of sites that you have experiences with. There is always room for active members who can help others.

Simply looking at the numbers can be deceptive on videos that were not shot recently. They can be converted but can still be weak. A poor original will give you poor results if upgraded. I have seen sites offer recoded older material that is still grainy.

I find it after I download. Put the cursor over the file icon and it appears as well as the length of the video and the bitrate. Be careful though in looking at AVI files where the bitrate is always low, even when they are of excellent quality.

I read the original incident that you are referring to. I agree completely that name calling is counterproductive and transforms the site beyond its goal of making a forum for information sharing. I join in asking Khan and the others at TBP/PU to enforce a ban on personal attacks.

Clyde-I couldn't agree more. I pointed out that he was hurting his business and he responded with reasons for doing so. A good businessman sells first and asks questions later. I mentioned that I am a member of PU and that other members have remarked in the past that downloading is the main reason for joining. His answer-what he thinks other webmasters will do to combat theft. I find it hard to believe that most sites will eliminate downloading. The money you make with a large number of paying customers will always be a lot more than the losses due to theft by only a few.

Jeffrey-I told the webmaster that it is not very difficult to download streaming video and you see his response. The site is dreamgirlsmembers.com, the comapny is IIICashLLC. They have a network of sites. I think the context here is important. How would you feel about sites that are streaming only.

I just received this email from a webmaster in response to my asking why they discontinued downloads and are streaming only. "Thank you for your email. We are aware that we are losing sales by not having a download option. We know that our product is not being blasted all over the tube sites on the internet for free either. You are correct that there is still the ability to steal our content....but the fact is that its too much work for too little reward. It will not be long before every site has moved to protect their content as we have done. Every site will be flash only, and the content will not be downloadable. Since you are familiar with many other sites it may seem like it is too big of a task, but its going to happen. We talk to everyone in our industry, and everyone is making this move." I am curious as to everyone's reaction to this statement.

I liked the movie, but there were too many things that were inconsistent with the tv shows. For example the Romulans did not look like they should, and their ship did not resemble what it should look like. Overall I liked the effects, but the shows were much more into character development. Still, it was fun to watch as long as you don't get too picky about how it is not too much like the Star Trek universe.

Although I like to write reviews, I review only about 75% of what I conceivably could. I hardly write up every site in any network as many are just dull and too small. Frequently my motivation is that a particular site has no or very few reviews. I feel that is a useful service I can provide, even if it is to say why I think a site is boring or otherwise useless. Another motivation is that I feel in some cases that my opinion is very different. I don't mind expressing a minority opinion and don't at all mind an intelligent disagreement of opinion with what I have to say. We all like different things.

Horndog I completely agree. The only way to grow the game is with more free games being available. I also think the powers of MLB make the season way too long for the same reason. A season of 100 games with the world series ending in September would be much better, but that will never be.

On another note, those who don't live in the NY Metro area may not know, but the Yankees get all the attention. Mets fans generally dislike the Yankees and resent Yankees fans' attitudes. I used to sell baseball cards and I can tell you the Yankees outsell the Mets something like 10 to 1. I have spoken to people outside the area who are surprised that there are fans in NY who would never want the Yankees to win.

I think it is too early to know Mets fans reactions to Rodriguez. In the past showboating has been a turnoff and Mets fans don't really like it. Overreacting is not professional in my opinion and only makes other teams try harder to beat you. So far though, Mets fans are very happy to see a much better bullpen. As a side issue, GM Omar Minaya has been quite properly criticised as loading up on Hispanic players. It seems that he is prejudiced and cares more about ethnicity than the team. Many non hispanic Mets have complained that this creates an atmosphere that is not conducive to playing together as a unified team. It seems that he may have continued with the perception of favoring Hispanics over how well the team performs. Even that gentleman David Wright has told the press that there are two Mets teams, not one. Me, personally, I don't care as long as his major concern is about putting together a team. But is it? I am excited by the beginning of the season. I have been a Mets fan since they started in 1962. In the past few years they have had good teams, but not satisfying ones. Maybe this is finally their year. I have never been a Cubs fan, but I understand how they feel about their team. If the Mets don't win, it would be great to see the Cubs win. It has been too long for them without a Series winning team.

I am hardly a prude, look at my reviews. However, I am not too crazy about the idea of porn in public. I believe it is best left as a private matter. I think those who want to see it most definitely should, but in doing so in public merely starts trouble that we as Puers can live without.

I don't think it would make much sense to join a website if you don't have enough of the language to understand the navigation. There is plenty of material on English sites where the videos are in another language though. This being said, I see no reason not to list any site in any language. If you can't understand the site, then don't sign up. If you do, why not list it? Individual choice, just like we have for all content.

As you probably know, it is the policy of PU to not include porn sites that are not in English. I am just curious if any of you, especially those who also speak another language, have ever joined a site not in English. I have and enjoyed it, but cannot review it or post a comment. Should the PU policy be changed?

The comments you made about the technology were exactly right. I once saw a special on tv about this very same topic. I thought the plot lines were a bit simple in the first show, but lets face it, its still Star Trek. I liked the Dominion episodes of DS9 a lot, as well as the Borg episodes of TNG. One good thing about Enterprise is they have a really good enemy, the Xindi. They have a complex culture and their motivation for attacking Earth is also complex. No I am not giving away the plot as you find this out almost as soon as they are introduced. Another thing I enjoyed is that it shows how the Federation came to be formed.

My favorite is Enterprise. I see you haven't seen it yet and I think you won't be disappointed. The whole exploring thing is new and every experience is a real adventure. The third season is truly outstanding as it is basically one long continuous story like a movie. The action is great with a lot of effects. I didn't care for the acting of the actors who played Janeway and Tuvok. Somehow a black Vulcan seems too contrived and artificial. For a long time my favorite was The Next Generation. In order my favorites are Enterprise, Deep Space 9, which I think is often just brilliant, The Next Generation, Voyager, and last the original series. By the way, the first series was a new show when I was in college. I liked it in its time, but never considered it a great show. After many years, when The Next Generation came out I was blown away by how much better it was.

I recently starting using the Western Digital media player. I find some WMV clips don't play and some do. I never know until I try them, even if they are from the same website. Yes, I think the conversion to AVI is extremely slow. What I have experienced is that I cannot get clips to play consecutively, but sometimes they do so on their own. Maybe someone here knows what would help. Further, if I click on play for a video, there is a long delay, maybe sometimes as long as fifteen seconds. This is too long to keep me interested in a video that comes in multiple clips. I don't see a way to set up a playlist, or search easily for a particular clip. I have my files set up within folders for each website, so that helps a bit. If there are say 20 or 30 videos for each folder/website, it takes a long, long time to go to the clip I want. Any suggestions?

I have never seen subtitles in porn and I have seen a LOT of porn. I would like them for interviews, but only then. I also think that interviews should be quick and minimal. I should also add that any subtitles be translated into English at a native speaker level or viewers will definitely be distracted. Don't do it yoursef as I can see your English is not up to it. No insult intended, but you have a few mistakes. Edited on Mar 09, 2009, 03:04am

I also get a lot of spam for sites like farm sex and networks that are not listed on TBP. I never realized that my billing processor may be involved. I always thought it was some disreputable site that I had joined. Thanks for the info. By the way Badandy, I also agree that job applications should never have credit check authorizations. I have even been asked to authorize a credit check for jobs that I already have. No company should ever base a hiring decision on whether you pay your bills on time or ever filed bankruptcy. You can still be a good and valuable employee. The same for your social security number. With that number, anyone can easily steal your identity. Unfortunately, many companies feel that they are a branch of Big Brother.

I would like to carry further Squirrel's point about low taxes. If you look at countries with higher taxes than the US, specifically European ones, the government has a lot more money to fund a social safety net. In countries with low taxes, for example in Latin America, there is no welfare, unemployment programs, not even a functioning court system that enforces rules such as child support and alimony. On a regular basis the police and other government officials can be bribed, mainly because government pay is so low. Asking for lower taxes brings money to the rich who mostly save it and become richer. Since the days of Reagan cutting taxes, the gap between rich and poor in America has gotten much bigger. No you can't have government function and not want to pay for it.

I think it is very important that we have quantity. Some less than stellar reviews do have some good points to keep in mind. Also, with quantity you may find reviews on some of the lesser known sites. Sometimes quantity will give a pattern that makes sense. For example, we have a LOT of posts about incrediblepass. Not everything was well written, but there was an obvious, overwhelming pattern going on that no one could possibly deny. True, some reviews are not very helpful, but I can't imagine a way to improve a site open to reviews as much as does PU. I would give PU a 90, simply because of the mx of quantity and quality.

Years ago I went to a store that rented adult DVD's. Even then I could hardly find anything that interested me. It all seemed like so much was all the same. I would spend maybe an hour looking and then find something disappointing. The internet is so much more practical that I would never go back. I can find anything you could ever want, without checking out hundreds of same ol, same old DVD's. If stores die out totally, I would never shed a tear.

You can block a lot of spam by changing your filter settings; I have. Most of the viagra and cialis emails are not even for the real drug. They simply take your money and you never hear from them or they sell you some cheap imitation ineffective knockoff made by unlicensed companies in China. There are ripoffs everywhere. Getting back to pornsites, sometimes the site will send you enough red flags that you should know to just stay away. Any site with free or a one dollar trial and then a high membership price is not a site I would join at $39.95 or even more.

I made a posting today as a reply to one members problems with a website. It is from sad experiences that I have learned how to spot some potential problems. Here is what I posted: I take it from your comment that the billing company was neither CCBill nor Epoch. Reputable websites usually use these two. Disreputable sites get kicked off and have to use other billing companies. If you see something like Jettis Int, that should be a red flag. I am sure not all sites that use second tier billing sites are a problem, but this is not a good sign. Another red flag here is a free trial. Nothing is really free. The explanation is yet another red flag. The monthly rate is $39.95. Now they have an incentive to not cancel the "free" trial. Yet another red flag is prechecked cross sells. While not disreputable, it is a sign that the site is not looking out for their members, but for their own bottom line. BEWARE! I would never sign up for a site where I discovered these things.

Unfortunately I feel that Cabo Entertainment, a network, may be a problem that we should be aware of. Check the comments about the various network sites, and members have complaints about billing, an inability to cancel, etc. Not a good sign at all.

Which websites or networks should be singled out for extraordinary customer service? Great attitude counts, but the site's content should be irrelevent. My nomination goes to Adult Doorway. They have links to customer service on every page and send a welcome email to every customer, not just the one that comes from the billing company. They welcome customer comments, complaints, etc. and answer them promptly. Why I was particularly impressed is that as a former customer they had a link to a special price, something crazy like $7.95 and I lost it by waiting too long to answer. About a week after it expired, I requested the price. Not only did they honor it, they set up a link to that price just for me in less than a half hour. They did not have to care about this, but they impressed me by doing so. Any nomimations for other sites?

Excuse me for staying too long on the soapbox. This thread started as a result of a problem I had with germangoogirls.com. As a member, I was looking around on the website to see what the content was. I clicked on bonus sites. I immediately got the message "confirmation email to follow". I think any PU'er would be surprised, as well as upset, to see that they had just signed up for a website. Further, there was no mention of the price so I could even make an informed decision. This goes way beyond caveat emptor as I did not even know that I was buying anything. Unethical? Hell yes. Illegal? Maybe. I am not suing them so I don't really care. However, I want others to benefit from this knowledge so they will not do the same.

The warning for meatmembers.com was not up when I made this post. I checked first. Of course we should uncheck prechecked boxes, but my complaint was that I cancelled the trials and was still billed. An ethical site would have credited me immediately and not threaten to blacklist me. No customer service on any site should ever be sarcastic and dare us to sue them. I feel that this is unethical. As far as using the term unethical, I did not want to get into the topic of illegal. That can vary from location to location, let alone that it has a precise meaning that we may not be able to prove here, only in a court of law. Unethical must be a matter of opinion and it is not objective. However, I do feel strongly that we should all complain about what we feel is wrong. How we should complain was the topic I initiated. When I signed up for meatmembers.com I did not see the prechecked boxes. Before I go further, TBP does not mention these boxes and I verified they are still there today. I signed up inadvertantly for allnetworkpass.com and allelitepass.com. I immediately cancelled the trial subscriptions, but was billed anyway for monthly ones when the trial was supposed to have ended. Customer service was belligerent and sarcastic and told me no way was I entitled to a refund. I told them I was getting a lawyer. Their response-just try to sue us. When I told them I wanted a refund or else I would charge them back, they relented, but a week later. I wrote to meatmembers.com and explained to them what happened, but they washed their hands of it all. Eventually I was refunded, but this is no way to treat customers.
