It would be a blast, I'm sure there are many gamers that would be willing to pay a premium for such an experience

That would become chaos so soon - but it would be very funny. I'd probably be the annoying player trying to make my zombie dance Gangnam Style.

In regards to Resident Evil: Retribution, quality asside, it appears that they continued the previous film's trend away from nudity. That was part of the fun of the series I thought, that and its tongue-in-cheek attitude toward the plot. It is an R-rated zombie series, why not have nudity? Hell, they started the series with what Milla herself (in the Audio Commentary) described as a "twat shot", and fulfilled the prediction/request of showing both nipples in the second film. Being a fashion model, she doesn't seem too concerned about nudity, so why the sudden stop?

My guess is it is some studio/marketing decision, but it is a strange if perhaps unimportant change in the series. In case people are going to theorize that Milla herself is stopping the nudity due to either her 2009 marriage to the director of the films (1st, 4th & 5th) or giving birth to his daughter, Ever (2007), I would like to direct your attention to Milla's announcement to the world that her post-pregnancy body was fit and ready to be back in front of the camera: Purple Magazine, full-frontal nude photo shoot (2009) (I've linked to this set before, but it doesn't hurt to link to it again.)

I haven't seen the 4th and 5th movies as I was frequently told that they were rather shite and almost completely without a sense of humour. The 2nd movie has been my favorite largely because it tried to be funny almost as often as it tried to be scary. Plus, it had a great finale cliff-hanger (that was basically ignored in the 3rd movie). "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

According to Wikipedia, she signed a 7-year contract with MGM in 1952 for $850 a week, about $45,000 a year before taxes. She got married in 1956 - maybe she succeeded in renegotiating her contract, but I found no mention of it. She may have provided a few hundred grand of the dowry, but I would bet the lion's share came from her father. Jack Kelly is also attributed to paying the dowry in his own Wikipedia page, though they do use the word "purportedly".

I must admit, I doubt that Jack's parents, when immigrating from Ireland, would have thought that their granddaughter would become one of the most famous movie actresses ever. Or that their son would become a 3-time Olympic Champion. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

In the US, it's not that common that the bride's family has to provide a dowry. But that was Prince Rainer's demand/condition for the marriage.

Grace Kelly's father was a wealthy businessman.

Kelly's father must have been a seriously wealthy businessman.

That $2 million USD dowry in 1956 equates to $16.3 million USD in 2011 dollars.

Royalty can give one quite an edge in that sort of competition. I was just surprised that she was interested in ending her career. At least with cars, your behavior can change what mpg it achieves. On longish trips, it is quite rare for me to not exceed the rated mpg for whatever car I'm driving. The Prius that everybody makes a stink about because when they drive it, it only makes 35 mpg instead of its rated 40 mpg, can actually achieve above 100 mpg if you drive it with the intention of saving gas. The CleanMPG 2008 Championships had the champion in the Prius category come in at 136 mpg.

With hard drives, there is nothing we can really do to achieve the rated space and use it on a Windows or Apple machine. I really think that there is a legal case for mislabeling of hard drives if somebody wanted to pursue it. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

They are mostly much ado about nothing, as we almost have to trust the authority of the magazines that printed the photos that they are indeed real. The image quality is so poor that it is pretty silly - much of the previous thread is us discussing the reasons for that. That said, in case you want to indulge your curiosity, here are all of the photos:

The "topless" set that were published first:

[These photos are from this article on Celebslam, and are reorganized to show them in the order they most likely were published.]

That's pretty funny about High Noon, I hadn't heard about that.

The Kim Novak sexual comment reminded me of Zsa Zsa Gabor, another blonde, and so very sexual in Touch of Evil (1958) as the "Strip-Club Owner" - talk about a character, she didn't even have a name but she was memorable than Janet Leigh. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

I think maybe I used the wrong term with bangs, but yes, the her face was partially covered by her hair, draped as you said, hence the nickname it earned: "peek-a-boo". Here's a good example image. And another example :-). "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

There is a reason that Pirate Bay tags itself as "The Galaxy's Most Resilient BitTorrent Site" - that is literally in their page title on their home page. They have been shutdown dozens of times, and have always returned. They even have hundreds of mirror sites to aid against force-able shutdowns and not to mention the admiration of most of the world's hackers, so it is basically baiting yourself for attack if one goes after the Bay in a cyber-attack way. According to Wikipedia, they turned 9 years old on the ides of last month. The Bay serves a valuable purpose to many people, not just for piracy, I don't know if they will ever be successfully shutdown. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

I'm not a huge fan of blondes, but I do make a few exceptions. I'm in agreement with Hitchcock in regards to Grace Kelly, and then there is also the great, but oft forgotten, Veronica Lake with her classic "peek-a-boo" bangs that became all the rage in the 40s. (Interesting Trivia: She was actually commissioned by the government or parties similarly interested in the war effort to cut off her peek-a-boo bangs in an advertisement so the women working the factory machines would be similarly inclined as they were worried about accidents with hair being caught in machines.) Haha, yes - in the case computer monitors and televisions "refresh rate" is the term preferred. I figured it is easiest to stick with one term than mix it up - though yes, technically FPS and Refresh Rate are different things, in this discussion they are addressing the same issue.

Of course, I don't think they were watching sports footage or anything that might have really needed such high frame rates.

I believe the cinematographer you were referring to is Douglas Trumbull the inventor and proponent of Showscan, the failed 60 FPS film format.

Personally, in regards to monitor refresh rates, I found with the old CRT monitors that I could detect a flicker at 75 Hz, but not at 85 Hz. Then again, 72 FPS might have been the average maximum, not the absolute maximum.

Peter Jackson & Co. argue that the reason the 48 FPS footage the showed looked "fake" was it hadn't gone through any post-production work (color correction, et cetera.) and was just displayed as raw, direct-from-the-camera, footage to show off the increased FPS. I think they are regretting not running it through post-production first. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

I think they have special High Frame Rate 3D TVs coming out soon, but most high quality 1080p LCD or LED TVs can handle 60 FPS (a lot of sports are broadcast at this frame rate), so they'll have no trouble handling 48 FPS. Of course, 3D TVs would have to operate at 96 FPS to present the Hobbit at 48 FPS in 3D. My computer's LCD monitor can handle 120 FPS, so the technology is out there, the question is simply: How much will it cost? "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Buy the drive that would best suit your needs in regards to Capacity vs. Price, but make sure it is from a place that has a reasonable return policy, just in case. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Everybody has a few drives fail and that becomes their hated brand or feature. I've never had much experience with 5400 rpm, I just know from tests that they won't game, but I've had some 7200 RPM drives die within a year, and others last upwards of 15 years.

The reason that I'm so down on 10,000 RPM drives is that the Western Digital Raptors for at least five years had a 25% out-of-the-box fail rate. This was well known in the hardware industry (I work for a pretty large online hardware retailer) and WD did little to fix it for a long time.

As for my prejudice against beyond 1 Terabyte drives, those are usually achieved by stacking tons of super thin platters on top of each other - so more moving parts, means more chance for failure. This is evidenced by the very first 1 Terabyte drives which used 5 platters. They had a staggering 50% fail rate at the beginning. They've gotten much better, but the 3 Terabyte drives are running into some of the same problems. Again, Y.M.M.V., some people have drives that never fail, others have ones that never start up. Yay for quality control. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Slow data transfer rates. Fine for storage, but bad for anything that is going to access lots of data in short period of time. Like games or super high bit-rate videos (like a 10GB 1080p movie).

10,000 RPM drives are loved for their high data transfer rates, but they tend to fail, so that kinda makes them less attractive. Especially since SSD drives are considerably faster than even the fastest 10,000 RPM drive and have a lower fail rate. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Return the drive immediately. Some sellers will only accept returns within 15 days.

Your experience is exactly why I never buy hard drives that are over 1 TB. The failure rate is very high.

As a rule of thumb, stay away from hard drives that are over 1 Terabyte and/or have a platter speed above 7200RPM. Drives beyond these specs break with alarming regularity. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Am I correct in sensing a wee bit of sarcasm in that last comment? lol

Anyway, apparently there is a lot that can be done to correct the 3D - and while I haven't seen a lot of the new 3D (I did see the original "Kiss Me Kate" (1953) in 3D using two film projectors with polarized lenses; the 3D effect, colors and clarity were excellent, even if it was a silly movie) but of that small sampling, Transformers 3 was by far the best visually.

I hope Windows 8 is free of the demonic curse, but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't. The GUI looks somewhat over simplified and cumbersome for classic "power users". I haven't tried the beta yet, so I'll refrain from judging it too much.

The discount for Windows 7 rigs when Windows 8 comes out is a very good point - they usually drop about $100 off the machines, if not more! "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

That would be unfortunate - hopefully Jackson has corrected for it in the same way that Bay did.

I've actually contacted Cineplex on facebook to find out if any of their local theaters will be displaying the movie in 48 FPS. (They are looking into it and said they'll get back to me.) Firstly, never heard of them, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are a bad computer. I'd very carefully examine their Warrenty, because unles you are saving money with a refurbished or scratch & dent computer, the Warrenty is the most valuable part of a new computer that you aren't building yourself.

Secondly, I would not recommend upgrading to Windows 8 immediately - that is a great price, and I'd probably buy the upgrade, but only if I could use it 1 year after Windows 8 was released. New OS's are usually very buggy, why bother paying them to test out their new system? After a year, generally speaking, the vast majority of the bugs will be fixed. The only 3D movie I might see in the near future is The Hobbit, if I can get to a theater displaying it at 48 Frames Per Second. I've been largely unimpressed with most of the 3D movies, it just doesn't seem to add any benefit and instead mostly detracts from the experience because it is slightly harder to watch. That is that it is frequently reduced in visual dynamic range, visibly darker, sometimes there is image flicker, and frequently you must look at only the areas where the film maker wants you to look - you can't browse around the screen as you'll see two distinct images if you try to focus on parts of the screen that aren't in focus for the camera.

The only film that I've seen that used 3D effectively was Michael Bay's Transformers 3. Apparently he was obsessive about it (as he is about many things) and each copy of the movie was delivered to the theaters with a letter by Bay directed toward the projectionists as a how-to for displaying his film to ensure optimal playback.

The Hobbit with its double frame-rate is supposed to be much easier on the eyes for 3D. That said, apparently they can't provide HD (4000 pixel resolution), 3D and 48 Frames Per Second. Since they have to choose just two, I'd ideally like to see it in HD with 48 FPS, but I'd settle for 3D and 48 FPS. I'll probably have to call around to find a theater that has the capability. So since my move to Win7 Ultimate 64 I have not used it for home.

I agree, trying to run a RAID Array with software, especially Windows 7, can be problematic. Ideally, a hardware RAID Array would be used, though they can be quite pricey. I guess, my total recommendation would be building a small computer that has onboard GigaBit LAN and give it 8 hard drives (or however many you want), loading it up with Ubuntu or a similar OS and throwing into a closet, out of the way.

That way the Linux varient OS is doing the Software RAID Array and you can load your porn up on it from any computer in the house.

Hell, you could make it internet accessible so you'd never be far from the collection. Make it a webserver, and then use a PHP database to organize your porn and host it for your-eyes-only!

This suddenly seems like an awesome idea... "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

It is already live... and meh.

I guess if you just want to browse lots of tube sites...

Plus it doesn't distinguish between videos and photos. It just does Straight, Gay, or All. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

To me, the only drawback is that I don't get what amounts to the "instant copy" I'd get with a RAID array. I do have to be more conscientious about copying files. It's just become a habit with me to copy files as soon as I get a hold of something "keepable" - like at the end of a month's subscription or when I get a movie I know I'd hate to lose.

If you are capable of being really consistent with your backups, that is a very good solution. The only problem I see with your system is that you can't exactly browse your collection - you actually have to go and pull the specific drive.

The RAID Array, when it isn't setup with RAID 1, should turn drives on and off (in regards to spinning the platters, obviously the circuit boards will be on), so it might not be quite as noisy & costly, electricity/heat-wise as you might think. I can't argue that it will be less so than a bunch of drives resting on a shelf though, lol. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

If you are willing to drop the coin, I'd recommend an external RAID Array running RAID 5 - which gives you both a performance boost and data redundancy so you can lose a drive but not lose any data. Though it is spread across the array of the drives, you effectively lose 1 drive's amount of space to maintain redundancy. RAID 10 is what is used by most servers, as it combines the superior redundancy of RAID 1 (or mirroring) and the speed boost of RAID 0 (zero redundancy, data spread across all drives) - but RAID 10 gets half the capacity of the drives in the array, so eight 1 TB drives gives you only 4 TB of space, but with multi-drive redundancy and a speed boost. External RAID Array enclosures often go for about $200-300 USD, and that is without any hard drives, so it is an investment, but I think a wise one if you really need to backup that much data. If you have a blu-ray player with a USB port, sometimes those will play video. Again, as with all these, YMMV. (Is that acronym falling out of favor? I haven't seen it in a while.) "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Yes they are in the public domain but they didn't choose to be it comes with the territory it's not like they get a choice. Whilst I agree that they abuse the position they are in sometimes and do live the kind of lifestle that we can only dream of I still feel that their basic human rights should still stand.

I believe any invasion of privacy upon the children of celebrities is largely the responsibility of their parents. Their parents made a series of decisions to become and/or remain celebrities, and thereby decided to bring their children into that lifestyle with all of its advantages and disadvantages. The decisions of the parents have long lasting repercussions on their children, well into adulthood.

Once the children are legally adults, they then have to decide how to handle their inherited celebrity. If they have a strong distaste for the ills of the lifestyle, there are usually plenty of opportunities to make themselves less accessible and less interesting to the paparazzi. I will grant you that they cannot simply snap their fingers and make the paparazzi go away; it will be an involved process.

Is it fair that the interest of the paparazzi gets passed from parent to child? I argue "yes", because interest from the paparazzi rarely comes without benefits. Can it be a great burden for the children? Certainly - but they also had the opportunity to go to any college they wished and probably pursue any career that interested them. Children don't get to choose their parents, they have to make do with the environment they are raised in. I contend that those raised in a paparazzi saturated environment generally have superior opportunities and greater quality of life than those that are not. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Throw the tapes you don't want in a black, contractor grade hefty bag. That way you know it won't accidentally tear open. If you are looking for the utmost anonymity, drive them to a business dumpster - just make sure they don't keep their dumpster locked before dragging over a giant bag o' porn. Honestly though, the garbage men don't care, won't check, and have seen worse.

These rules also apply to disposing of bodies.

P.S. Do I have VHS? God no! I never want to interact with a VHS tape ever again! Also, you can buy a VHS / DVD recorder on eBay for around $50. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Holy wall of text Batman!

The paparazzi are certainly rather relentless and occasionally they go beyond the realm of what is legal. However, Royalty and celebrities, the latter whose job is based on their popularity in the media, and the former whose entire life is a government institution, have no reasonable reason to expect privacy in any outdoors location on the planet. The intense media interest surrounding them is not a symptom of their lives, it is one of the foundations of their lives. I do not care that most of the Royalty are born into their titles, their lives are so outrageously privileged that they should be able to weather some rude folks with cameras. I find appeals to our humanity with stories of the trials and tribulations of life in front of a paparazzi's lens ridiculous and factitious. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Ya too much time on my hands, but I love to take pictures and hand me picking this apart. And does not appear it was taken from anywhere near their property unless they used a cheap camera which I doubt.

I was actually realizing that I own almost all the equipment necessary to take that photo. I have a Tamron 200-500mm Zoom AF Lens that is literally worth more than my camera, I just need to get a 2x Teleconverter to boost the lens to 1000mm then mount it on my tripod and I could get almost the same shot.

The Sydney Morning Herald did a nice article on the photos and theorized that the photographer was using a 600mm Telephoto with a 2x teleconverter. They say a lens like that (which costs about $25,000.00 USD) attached to a high resolution camera (Nikon is selling 36 Megapixel cameras now) could take the photo from 800 to 1300 meters away. (0.5 - 0.8 miles) Though they mention that a drone was possibly used, but I doubt it because that would have really gotten interest from security. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Royalty haven't the luxury of privacy. If she wanted to ensure that nobody outside of the prince and her doctor were to see her nude, then she could have disrobed indoors.

The photos were obviously taken from a great distance, so I doubt the paparazzi in question did anything illegal. Granted they are considering a lawsuit, but that is a far cry from criminal charges. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Wow, not a single person standing up for the Paparazzi, I actually didn't expect that.

Well I will.

Perhaps it isn't the most honorable job, but they are a testament to how free Western society really is these days. As always, I hold freedom of speech as the highest of rights. Kate is perfectly within her rights to take her top off in France, it is sort of thing over there. The Paparazzi are within their rights to use a Telephoto lens that would shame the Hubble to try to capture her with her top off.

As for the security issue: she wasn't shot, her security did their job. My guess is they knew about the Paparazzi and didn't think they'd actually be able to get a quality photo from that distance.

Oh, and yes, I did look at the photos - I always check out celebrity nudes. Usually they are disappointment's, but my curiosity gets the better of me. She as a respectable, if not epic, pair - she should feel comfortable at the beach. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

German Goo Girls would have been my go-to recommendation, but there has been a lot of talk about unethical business practices and general sketchiness - so while their content is probably the best, you should navigate the site very carefully.

An amateur site I can whole heartedly recommend is Amateur Facials UK. They are updating frequently (once a week) and they keep the focus on Bukkake. It has been a while since I was a member, but one issue I didn't recall was the extensive use of cameras during the video. This means you get good photos, but you also see lots of flash photography and hear camera noises during the video. It can be slightly distracting. Also, the models come in all sizes, so lots of diversity there. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

Try any of the ATK sites and simply ignore the sets that feature hardcore or toys. Most of the sets don't.

You can join their individual sites or get the whole network through AT Kingdom Network.

Their individual sites:

ATK Archives (old material, only join if you are a big fan of their content)
ATK Exotics (focuses exclusively on non-caucasian models)
ATK Galleria (focuses on young models, mostly caucasian)
ATK Natural & Hairy (no boob jobs, no shaving)
ATK Petites (thin, small models)
ATK Premium (sort of the "Editor's Choice" of the network)
ATK Aunt Judy's (recently acquired Mature models site) "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"

I've run across it but never used it. Being that Google makes it, my guess is it is pretty good. As long as they don't orphan it or sell it off (like Sketch Up) it is probably a good choice. I generally don't bother photo organizers, because Windows 7 is pretty good at handling most photos, but I still use Adobe Bridge from time to time - it is still my favorite. Solution: Just make separate social media accounts for tracking your porn interests.

Personally, I hate Facebook, so I use it as little as possible anyway, but what little I use it for is for friends and family. My Twitter account is solely for tracking porn stars, but it wouldn't be hard to setup a second twitter account for following non-porn related folks. "I'm not a number, I'm a free man!"
