Archiving! The only VCR I still have is a VCR to DVD converter. Pretty soon, though, DVDs will probably be obsolete.
I just went to update the navigation maps on one of my cars, a 2012 BMW, and the update instructions call for 4 8GB thumb drives(32GB total, to hold all the business and point of interest stuff, I guess). All I had was 3 year old 4GB thumb drives, so I ran out to Office Depot. The guy there says "We don't sell them that small anymore. Smallest we have is 16GB." They were stupid cheap, too. That's advancing technology at its finest.
Well....OK, VP9 might not be proprietary, but it certainly is not common. I had to go through quite a bit to get my non-VR video players (VLC and Windows Media Player) to be able to play it and I still can't get my Simple VR player to play it in VR, which is why I'm reverting to the 265 format. For the Vive, Simple VR is a pretty awesome universal player and it is more stable and, I think anyway, a better player than Whirligig or virtual desktop. It is also the only decent JPG image viewer for Vive VR that I know of.
Now if Only I could figure out how to edit these damn VR videos using my Adobe Premier video editing software. (I have 6 TB of VR videos now...) I can pull them in and edit them, but I can't figure out what output settings to use so the edited files will play in VR. Any ideas? :-)
RA, You are not alone. I was in Information Technology for 20 years and am still an early adopter for many kinds of technology. It can be a real pain in the ass. VR is no exception. I had to build a dedicated computer that is essentially an expensive high-end gaming machine. And the HTC Vive platform is still embryonic. The problem is that there aren't any standards and no clear technology consortium has emerged yet. We are in the betamax vs. VHS mode for this stuff and Augmented Reality (projecting things through glasses so they appear in actual physical space) is the DVD coming down the pipe.
Here's a chuckle. I'm watching porn in VR, and Ultra-HD, but Comcast still gets to charge me extra for HD channels. SD over-the-air broadcasting ended 10 years ago, but somehow 75% of the channels I get at home on cable are still SD. If you watch ANY porn in Ultra HD, you are far ahead of the cable companies. (I just read that DirectTV will cease broadcasting in SD in 2019, so maybe Cable will wake up and do the same in order to compete.)
As usual, the porn is driving technology just like it drove VHS. :-)

The site doesn't really explain that the proprietary player is only needed (I think) if you want to run the videos in interactive mode, or use the related sex-toys.
As it turns out, the interactive videos don't work on the Vive anyway.
Bottom Line:
Virtual Real Porn is among the best of the VR web sites with a relatively large number of high-quality videos. By themselves, many of these videos are as good or better than videos from the other top VR sites, but the site has developed a custom video player that, I think, is designed to allow you to use Cyber-toys like the Lovense for men or women. This is a pretty neat concept and if you have used something like a fleshlight, then these toys will probably add a dimension to VR that isn't there for other sites.
All of the videos have a fairly well-developed premise, secretary, student, friends girlfriend, whatever, and the videography is excellent. The girls are all pretty young, mostly fit, and of various nationalities. There are many well-known actresses here, as well as many that you've never seen before but want to see again.
Most of these videos start out in POV mode with the observer laying, sitting or standing. A few videos start out in non-POV with both the female and male actors in the scene, but then it switches to POV. There are also a lot of female solo scenes and a handful of scenes where you are observing a couple having sex. The POV scenes mostly eventually have the viewer in a prone position and the scenes often end in a hand job.
As for the technology, I have a Vive and eventually gave up on the proprietary player and went back and pulled down the H264 videos that will play on most platforms. These H264 videos are much larger than the "VP9" format videos, but they typically look better and do not have the bizarre doubling artifacts that some of the VP9 videos have. (You can find the H264 videos unser "previous version" in each headset selection. In this regard, the site really needs to improve both the selection of video of video formats and the consistency of video coding.
Navigation is pretty good, with the ability to select by model, likes or date, you can also search on some of the tags, like threesome or anal.
A simple introduction to the site explaining what options are available for the various headsets, what the interactive thing is all about and maybe a few other pointers would have been incredibly helpful.
Overall, I would probably have rated this site higher had I not spent so much time trying to get the proprietary video player running on my Vive. Many of the videos are among the best in VR and most of the actresses are quite attractive. If you are into VR porn, then you really need to add this site to your visit list.
Looking at the join pages and teaser videos, this seems like another site that doesn't quite get the true value of VR. Nearly all of the videos here are observation only. Observation videos are a dime a dozen, don't need to be in VR and some really, really good sites do them. The value of VR is in PARTICIPATION videos and the best VR sites have figured this out. Am I missing something here? Has anybody joined this site and can tell me there are some great videos here?

Bottom Line:
Viv Thomas is primarily a lesbian site with a mix of about 80% lesbian sets and 20% solo sets within the more recent sets. Older sites include solo, boy/girl, some insertion, and lesbian. It became part of the Met Art network several years ago and Met Art has done a really good job of keeping it up.
For perspective, ALS scan is the other lesbian site in the MA network. The girls there are very young, very petite, carefree, happy to experiment and generally give off an almost childish vibe. Viv Thomas, on the other hand, is pretty much exactly what you expect from Met Art in a lesbian site. The women are much more refined, truly beautiful most of the time, and most of the videos and image sets are damn near perfect.

I haven't been a member of this site since Met Art took it over and I'm happy to say that although the overall feel has changed a little, the material puts this site up there toward the top of the Met Art stable.
Viv Thomas, now semi-retired, is an outstanding photographer and videographer who has produced a lot of award winning material for magazines, video production companies and on-line. His older stuff on this site is top quality for the time-frame and the models, damn near all of them, all the way back to 2002, are stunning and not at all shy. I'd say the older stuff parallels Twisty's or Danni's best from the period and the newer stuff is similar to MetArt-X in terms of showy photography. Nearly every solo set has spreading at least and every lesbian set portrays what I imagine is pretty genuine lesbian sex (i.e. these girls are not just standing together in the set, their fingers and tongues are inside each other.) The older sets include some world-class famous models like Sophie Moon, Veronica Zemanova and my all time favorite Marketa Belonoha. Newer sets include a lot of really popular MA models like Niemira and many beautiful models I don't see elsewhere on the MA network. What puts these sets apart from many others is that the early models like Veronica and Marketa are doing things like spreading that they never did in later shoots. And the later shoots are slightly different than what you would find on other MA sites. Make-up for example, makes some of the models like Niemira a little more alluring. Reall ynice job on all of this.
All of the videos on this site since about 2010 are at least 720P. Prior to that, they are 420p. Newer videos go up to 4k.
Navigation on the site is an exact copy of the main Met Art site with many user-adjustable options. Default image sizes, images opening in the same or a different tab, etc. I am very used to the MA navigation and may be a little biased, but I truly believe it is the best navigation system on the internet.
Met Art uses a single-sign on to their sites. Once you sign into a new site under it, you no longer have to log into that site individually. To facilitate this, there is a navigation pull-down that can get you to any of the sites in the network. There is also a "status" page that allows you to see all of your subscription details and you can even sign up for or cancel subscriptions right from this pull-down. This is a very nice solution to an often vexing problem.
OK, bottom line. Even if you are not a fan of lesbian porn, there is a LOT of excellent solo image material here dating back nearly TWO DECADES that you might like a lot. That includes nearly every big model name in porn photography over the last 18 years. The videos since about 2010 are also very diverse and mostly excellent. The only reason I won't give this a 90 or better is because they don't do daily updates, but given the inredible amount of material here, you could spend many, many hours looking through the old stuff on the days there are no new updates.
Look around for discount offers, but be aware that there are sometimes issues with the Met Art single sign-on when you try to sign up for offers made outside the network. If you find a low-price offer but the site doesn't list it because you already have an account within the Met Art network, contact support and they will work it out for you.
Well that really sucks. Not sure what happened but I've been a member of this site a couple of times and have never been scammed. I am also not at all sure how you got to Rocketgate/VXNBill because Epoch was their servicer for me. In fact, I just cancelled my account and got exactly the expected service from Epoch. Entered in account and email and the subscription popped right up. 30 seconds later, it was cancelled. BTW, Rocketgate is still servicing a lot of sites like the Met Art sites. I do see that vxnbill is associated with this group of sites but I've never used them. Again, sorry you had an issue.

It is a good site but not a great one. For $9.95, anyone who is curious has got very little to lose. Now, if you think that is spam, you should look up the definition of spam because clearly it isn't what you think it is. If you don't want to try the site, that's fine. This is different... I joined VR Bangers several months ago but somehow, although I've written reviews for 12 other VR sites, I didn't write a review for this one. So I thought I would join again, get caught up and finally write the review. After sitting on the home page for a minute, a message popped up that said "Dilon's Special" offering a month for $14.95. Cool! I'll do that. But when I went to join and entered my email address, it told me I already have an account. So I went to the home page and logged in. Then it said "Account expired. Make a new subscription payment".
When I went to the make a payment page, not only was the $14.95 a month option not there, but there was NO MONTHLY OPTION AT ALL! The only options are for 3 months ($50) or a year ($100). WTF!?
Now, I have to say, this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen and is way up there on the greedy list. They think that by not allowing me to return for just another month, they will get me to sign up for longer?? Apparently, nobody told them how internet mail works! Anyone can get a new email account for free! Anyone can set up mail forwarding so mail from many email accounts ends up in one email account. So if they won't let you in using the original account, it is SO easy to just get another email account. (I personally own several domains and potentially hundreds of email accounts.) Why would they be so greedy as to not let me sign up for another month using my original email?
So I guess I'm being punished for leaving them in the first place. Too bad since leaving and returning in 6 months is an obvious approach to this site since they only update once or twice a week.

That is a really good point, especially since POV used to commonly be used to describe a look-down blow-job video (a lot of sites still call BJ videos POV).
I agree that for those who haven't seen it, the term POV or non-POV might be confusing, but with the advent of POV sites (like POVD.COM), the term is a little more universal than it used to be. In video games, they use the terms FPS and RTS all the time, but unless you are referring to a dick, "shooter" isn't really appropriate here. First person/third person might work, but it isn't used anywhere in VR that I know of. I originally used "participatory" and "observational" to describe the videos, which might make more sense. Iv'e also seen "Voyuer POV" and "Male POV" or "female POV", but again, without a frame of reference, these can still be confusing. In the end, the industry itself needs to decide what terms to use, but I'll try to be as descriptive as possible going forward.

Bottom Line:
I think somebody decided they wanted to build a top-notch VR porn site so they put a lot of pieces together including a pretty good website. But then they ran into problems, at least initially, developing and acquiring content. The site has about 86 videos as of 12/28/17. I can't quite tell how many of each type of video the site has (because the tags don't work correctly), but if I had to guess, I'd say there are about 30 Male POV (participatory) videos, 30 non-POV (observational) VR videos, maybe 15 2D videos and 2-4 female POV videos. The last 5 videos offered are all "voyeur POV" meaning they are observational only.
Video length varies from about 10 minutes up to about 28 minutes.
File sizes for the Oculus/Vive range from about 2 gigs to nearly 6 gigs.
Download speeds are OK.
There is roughly one new video a week.
The site has some top-tier porn-stars here and they even have a VR video with Nina Hartley, who I haven't seen in a decade or so. Adria Rae, Chloe Amour, Riley Reid, Abella Danger, Megan Rayne and Adrianna Chechick, to name a few.
So, all of the pieces are there for this to be a pretty good site. But....it falls a little short in my book for a couple of reasons.
First, the videos vary quite a bit. Some are side by side, some are over under, some are 360 and some are 180. Many ore observational and not participatory which, no offence to those who like the voyeur style, defeats the purpose of VR porn in my book. And the biggest issue for me is that many of them are difficult to watch because they are either in lower resolution or where not encoded properly. I have an HTC Vive and only a couple of the videos I downloaded are in high enough resolution to actually enjoy.
My theory is that they purchase VR and other videos from independents who use different methods of filming and encoding. This inconsistency wouldn't be a terrible thing if the end result was a good quality video, but often it isn't. All of the great porn stars in the world don't mean much if you can't comfortably watch the video.
I have well over 400 VR videos now and I have not had any kind of viewing issue since building a new high-end computer a year or so ago. But some of these videos are hard to watch because of resolution or lens or encoding issues. So far, I've downloaded 23 videos (most of the male POV videos) and although the content looks OK, there is something wrong with the Vive versions. I have to say, though, that the 2 or 3 that ARE encoded correctly are very well done, so maybe it is just a Vive thing. Still, I can't really dismiss the poor quality videos because I signed up to use them with my Vive, so the review rating reflects this issue. I am also not into the "Voyeur POV" style, which is about half of the videos on this site.
If you are using something other than a Vive, this site is probably worth signing up to for a month, especially if you are equally into the "voyeur POV" and male POV video styles. They do have an A-list of porn stars here, but be prepared for a wide variety of shooting styles, lens types, etc.
I'll provide an update if anything changes in terms of Vive video quality.
Onyx, I am still evaluating the site, but right now I would put it in the middle of the pack as far as VR sites go. The site layout is nice, with tags listing the types of things going on in each video, but there is no scoring or ranking, just a thumbs up count. The videos are competent but some of the B/G scenes are not POV at all, which is pretty weird. None of the Images in the image libraries are POV. Instead, they are pretty much promo shots including some with the male actually holding a VR headset to his face. There are several top females on the site, but there are also some...I'll call them unusual...videos as well. For example there is a Nina Hartley VR video. Nina was a boss porn star and still looks pretty good, but she is, what, 59 now? Maybe there's a niche for that, I don't know. The preview is pretty representative of the girls on the site. In general, the girls are much younger and much better looking than, say, Naughty America, but VRHush only releases one new VR video a week, in general. The site shows promise but still needs some tweaking and some polish. I'll get to a review within the next week or two.
I'm looking at the teaser pages and this really looks a little rough to me. Seems like a collection of vids where the actresses and sets are from the champagne room of a Montreal strip club. A.K. giving this one a 78 seems very optimistic considering how he has scored some of the other better VR sites. Has anyone signed up?

This was one of the first sites I joined when I got my HTC Vive, but somehow in the rush to try things I failed to write a review. I just re-joined the site on a $79 annual membership, which is a pretty good deal considering they publish VR 3 times a week.
WankzVR is a top-notch VR site probably among the top 2 or 3 on the Internet. The additional network is not quite as sophisticated as Wankz VR, but there is some good stuff there as well.

A few other sites offer "face sitting" but those scenes are considered fetish do not end in sex. Here, the close-up is practically part of the typical strip, show, blow and screw sequence.

The girls are often quite beautiful and fit, but a few are just a bit more full figured, nicely curvy. There are pretty much no "mature" models here, which sets the range to the 18-25 up-and-coming porn stars. Make-up is usually well done in an American or Met-Art near-glam but not overdone style.
These videos are acted out a little more than most and always have a story-line of sorts...as much as you can in porn. Leah Gotti has a terrific scene in an acted-out casting-couch-like story. She comes in thinking she is interviewing for a non-porn scene, ends up stripping and getting her lights fucked out (very active scene) and leaves insulted as the guy says he'll call her. In another scene called "Dear Diary, Jackpot!" , two cheerleaders (Naomi Woods and Bella Rose) end up in a competition for Bella's boyfriend. The scene is really top-notch. Bella's jealous glances add a nice touch. These two scenes are probably among my top-10. Come to think of it, there are a LOT of two girl scenes where you get laid by both girls. This is much more satisfying than just watching two girls do each other.
The videos are well done and the sets are good quality but not overly luxurious or distracting. The girls ALWAYS seem like they are enjoying the scenes, which you can see through the acting. I can even say that some of the acting is good. The fact that these guys put together pretty good skits is a good indication that they are all having fun and aren't afraid to try new things. It reminds me a little of Twisty's in that regard.
The rest of the network is also good, but not quite as well done overall as WankzVR. The VR site feels different and is more up to date. The other sites don't all include dates and file sizes. I might do a regular Wankz review a little later.
Bottom line: For VR, WankzVR is a top-notch, best-of-class site well worth the $20 for a month or even $79 for a year! Go check it out!
I have been an annual W4B subscriber for many years and have rated the site very highly. Well, they have slowly been pushing users to the "new mobile" site, so I switched over to it. BIG MISTAKE! Apparently, they think mobile users don't want to save images. You can't download ANYTHING from the mobile interface. You have to switch back to the old interface, which is sometimes days behind in terms of updates. Now, there are updates on the "new" mobile site that don't even appear on the "old" site, so you can't download those images or videos at all. Am I missing something? No, but W4B has. People want to download. I don't care how good the sets are, if I can't download the images I want, I will not remain as a member and will no longer give favorable reviews. If you download any images, you need to avoid this site until they fix the interface issues.
Thanks for the update. It is always nice to see the webmasters checking sites like this for reviews and comments. It shows that they care and are attentive to their subscriber's comments. I have seen the mobile option on the site lately, but I am old-school with a PC and giant monitor. Overall a terrific site!
I'll add that I've never seen a site that only provides images in landscape-only or portrait-only format. And if you want some GREAT wallpapers, go check out Digital Desire. J. Stephen Hicks is an awesome photographer and, in addition to regular photo shoots, he provides one nude and one beautiful landscape scene a day (often it is a great landscape with an ungodly beautiful girl someplace in the image, often clothing optional.)
I was last a member of Digital Desire in 2017 and and can say it is medium-core old-school glamour. Good stuff if you haven't been there before.
