20 GB assuming it's for videos. A photo only site with a lower limit would be reasonable.

If they put external links anywhere on their message or signature, absolutely. Otherwise, there's rarely reason for suspicion.

200 kbytes/s, which is 2/3 of my top download speed. I wonder what would be the results of this poll if the options weren't absolute values but percentages of you maximum download speed.

It's only a typo :) Speed and navigation can be frustrating depending of the severity but I've answered little info about models because I've recently been a member of a couple sites where they failed to properly link to other scenes by the models in the scene. I really don't care about measurements, ethnicity, age, etc. that many sites display in a model's page but if a model interests me, I'd like to be able to find all her scenes in the site.

Apart from linking to the full image, thumbnails should help users decide whether they are interested in a picture or not. I agree that automatic cropping is useless for this purpose.
I've never seen it in an adult site but there's a technique that combines resizing and cropping to get a different type of thumbnails: you first crop to the significant part of an image (a human has to decide which part for each image) and then resize to the final thumbnail size. The resulting human-cropped thumbnail would make sense because it would help users choose images much better than a mere resize.
If you take the usual set at sites like Twistys, there's usually little difference between a photo and the next. It would be interesting to see this technique used to highlight those differences via the thumbnails so users would be able to tell whether the model is covering her breast or pinching her nipple; pointing at her pussy or actually fingering it; just smiling or actually licking her lips. And so on. You rarely get this level of detail with a mere resize.
In fact, if you look at the free preview galleries around the net of Twistys and similar sites, you'll see they use this technique in order to leave as little blank space in the page as possible. The ones I've seen, resize the portrait ones and use this technique for the landscape ones.

First of all, thanks to the PU staff for running this poll of mine even though I was unable to put it in a less confusing way.
I'd go for resizing with the same percentage (2) even though you lose a lot of space in the page. My ideal would be cropping to squares (1) but if (and only if) there was some human hand-picking the most important part of the image and cropping to it.
Just as Drooler, the system I dislike the most is cropping landscape to portrait dimensions (3) even though I also find unpleasant when they are resized with different percentages (4): portraits always end up being too tiny.
After I submitted the poll, I came across an equally bad thumbnail system: Bangbros Network makes decent thumbnails with no cropping but resizes them all to some arbitrary landscape dimensions through the HTML code. Thumbnails of portrait pictures end up hinting the full pictures show aliens having sex.

Rarely I'm a member of more than one site at a time so I usually type because Firefox has two handy features: autocomplete and a list of most visited sites. I start typing the first times I visit and it soon becomes one of the most visited sites and I just choose from the drop-down list from then on.
Occasionally, I keep the various sites I'm a member in a bookmark folder so I can open all of them in tabs with a single mouse click.

This wikipedia article pretty seems accurate:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluffer
Don't know what part of it is a myth. I remember some gang bang (Houston 500?) where there were fluffers on film keeping the guys ready. I also remember a fluffer character in some porn movie parodying the porn industry.

Membership alone $31 to $35 which was a US site regional pricing at 25 EUR. I'm guessing the poll is leaving aside cam sites; otherwise I'd be at $41 or more.

I'm not sure which it is, but there must be a reason why PU staff decided reviews and comments would expire after two years and no longer count towards site score. If that user-contributed content has lost part of its value, user points and badges earned from it should also lose part of its value.
What's more, reading what Khan said in the forum, it looks like the original idea leaned in this direction. In fact, I was half expecting to start losing points soon, since I wrote my first reviews about a year ago. This is the forum topic:
https://www.pornusers.com/forum/forum_th...ad.html?threadid=603
When, at my current rate, I eventually get the hardcore badge around the end of 2009, after more than 18 months of reviews, I will feel like those karate black-belt 12 year old kids exotics4me mentions in his post. And I will keep it for as long as PU exists, even if I were to stop contributing after that. If the original PU idea had been in place, there's no way I could ever get the hardcore badge.

Absolutely. Reviews expire after two years for a reason so points earned for those reviews should too. It would make sense, though, to still have a counter of points earned over the years.
The four badges that depend on contributions (talk back, comments, pollster and hardcore badges) should consider only contributions during the last two years for the same reason.

Never. I won't say I've never had some free porn but certainly not from those sites: I've only been to something that may qualify as a "Tube" site a couple times and by mere accident while doing some google search.

I've only done a few searches but it looks really neat. There are lots of categories and results are usually appropriate.
I have several doubts and comments though.
Zip files of big galleries contain always only around 25 images; is this sampling intentional? The vast majority of sites that offer zip files mean whole gallery download;
Biggest images are only 1024 on the longest axis; that's a bit too low nowadays; are there any plans to offer higher resolutions?
It looks like picture count for scenes coming from DVDs usually includes both screen captures and true photos; it's a bit frustrating to open a gallery hoping to find 300 images and find only 8. Check, for instance, galleries for "Swallow My Sperm P.O.V. 2";
Gallery slideshow is nicely implemented but I believe it would make much more sense to change the orientation of thumbnails and slideshows to portrait or choose landscape images for the slideshow; those empty spaces and cropped pictures look a bit weird. I've been browsing the softcore section mainly; looks like there are other sections that don't suffer from empty spaces and cropped images.
Nice work, anyway.

Enter this in the Google search box:
site:pornusers.com "Avg Site Rating"
It's pretty simple: you limit the search to a specific site and search for a unique string. As a bonus, in this case I got all the information I wanted in the description right at the results page.

Currently, 75.3. I submitted the poll because I realized I have been going slightly up and down 75 since the very beginning. In fact, I submitted the poll before my recent VideoBox review when I was at 74.8.
There's no big point I want to proof here. As Drooler said, those who review both good and bad experiences (me too) will likely have lower averages.
On a side note, the intervals I wanted to submit initially were much wider. But I did a quick Google search of cached user profiles and I realized that, if you leave one-timers aside, those 4 intervals should get around 25% each. Let's see :)

I believe Uncle Jessie is probably a reference only American PUs might understand.
I googled it and the only near match I could find is a character named "Uncle Jesse" in "The Dukes of Hazzard" TV series. With all due respect to the actor who played him, he is, in fact, an old man.

As long as they don't pretend to be underage and there's no abuse, I'd say "why not?".
The previews I've seen for Jurassic Cock have me seriously considering signing back for Porn Pros Network.

They only get the spotlight for a couple days and then disappear into the Previous Polls section. Maybe, on the home page, there could be a couple links below the latest poll to the two previous ones (title only, no results). This way, discussion could go on.
On the other hand, it's hard to know an archived poll you might be interested in has received further replies unless it was a direct reply to you. Forum automatically bumps topics to top when they get replies but polls are only sortable by creation date, total votes and total replies.
Bottom Line: Archived Polls should be sortable by last reply received and it should be the default option.

I wouldn't post more but it would be a good idea.
We may already get a ticket by writing 5 replies or giving 5 trust ratings but I've never felt fellow users abuse it to get that ticket. I'm guessing the forums were introduced after the badges system was in place; maybe the replies ticket could also include forum posts.

Quite different to Anna Malle's site (site not listed at PU, btw). She died in a car accident in January 2006. The site still accepts new signups (45USD for 2 months recurring) but the homepage consists mainly of a note on her death and several condolence and remembrance texts from industry people. The note on her death was there almost from the day she died.
IMHO, that's the decent way to do things. Someone may still want to see the content but the site is also a tribute to her and her work.

I never watch anything pre-2000s. Late 90s at most. If I know the model is deceased, I also know the cause of it and it's not likely it was old age at her home surrounded by her loved ones. I might enjoy watching some content but it's hard to get out of my mind how she died.

Give them time and they'll eventually get to it. The problem is they will probably like the idea and will require consumers to get it too. No more login screens: just get your implant near your computer reader.

It would be wise when choosing a stage name to make sure there aren't 1,000,000 results on google for your new name and that the .com domain is not taken. Adding a surname (even if it's a common one) is a must.
It's very frustrating when you try to find more of the work from a new model and you realize she chose the same name as some TV anchor woman or a shoe brand and you are faced with thousands of unrelated results. It's even worse when another adult model already has it.
Securing your domain name from the start should also be a top priority. It only costs a few bucks. A model's name is her brand. What serious company would choose a brand without securing the associated domain first? If the domain name is taken, I'd suggest choosing another name.
