This, and apparently all Hustler sites have been rolled into hustlerunlimted.com, which is STREAMING ONLY. I was a subscriber through barelylegal.com, and they switched my sub over, so I was able to see the new members' area. Briefly, before cancelling my subscription. There does not even appear to be an upsell option, they really do seem to have just decided we can't have their movies anymore. Bummer, they will be missed.
I'm cracking up as I type this. If you want to download videos, you have to pay for an ENTIRE YEAR. LMAOOOOO good luck with that. When you screw over paying customers, you get pirated and I have ZERO sympathy.
I recently got an alert that someone had tried to access my Streamate account. Since I've never even heard of Streamate I looked into this and had the account canceled. When the cancelation confirmation came through, there was a simultaneous cancelation for something called Banglive. They will not confirm this but it's clear that the Streamate/Banglive accounts were set up by Bang.com without my consent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do not trust this company with your payment information, as they are clearly using your data without your consent.
$1 trial provides access to ONE download and ONE stream OF THE SAME VIDEO. Just to be clear, you may not download one video then stream another. Like, you know, if you were trying to sample content to decide whether to purchase. No trailers, so now that I downloaded my one scene, that's my entire sample of what the whole site has to offer.
Not terrible but def annoying. Way more annoying is that none of this is advertised in the spot where they get you to sign up, of course. Just says $1 for a day "membership". They don't bother mentioning any of this until immediately AFTER you sign up.
Of course I know there is very little honest advertising in this industry (LOL) so I checked TPB first! Unfortunately even their info does not make it clear that you are limited to a single TITLE, so just be aware.
Monthly plans DO NOT give access to VR. For VR (the entire point of the site), you will have to purchase at least 3 months at a time. Wack.
UPDATE: there is currently a special that does provide monthly VR access ($12.99 recurring at $19.99). It's advertised on Lethal Hardcore as a special for members, but it appears to be open to all, as I still see the same special when not logged in.
Signup page is falsely advertising "full access" (at the time of writing) when in fact you must pay an extra fee to unlock 4k content. Nowhere in the signup flow is this mentioned, thus this is simply false advertising. I fought for a refund and they still tried to blame it on me somehow. But you don't find out about this until you try to watch or download 4k content. Shame they make money this way.
1. As with far too many adult sites, watch out for pre-checked cross sales. At this point it seems like every adult webmaster and their brother is hell bent on trying to get money you didn't mean to spend.
2. Captcha puzzles for login are case-sensitive (LOL) and contain characters that could be either o (the letter), 0 (the number), 1 (the number), l (lower case L), or I (uppercase i). It literally took me 7 tries to get in.
I've been member off and on a bunch of times, always been love/hate but never truly scammy. But recently I was charged about $60 for no apparent reason by their billing processor/customer victimizer. Investigating, here's what I found: I had been opted into a "sister site" called rkcams.com. I've come to be fairly distrustful of RK by now so I always closely examine every screen when signing up, for the dreaded pre-checked cross-sales. I don't believe that's what this was, I think they just created an account without my consent. And without sending me any sort of confirmation email, info, etc. Just a liability in my name, putting me at risk. Like those fake Wells Fargo accounts but with naked ladies.
In any case, at some point, someone (not me) ran up $60 in minutes (or whatever). I had to make multiple phone calls and the final call to rkcams support sounded like someone sitting in her apartment. Wasn't too difficult to get a refund, but (a) it did take some arguing (b) obviously I shouldn't have to deal with this at all (c) the accounts at rkcams are obviously not secure and yet somehow have my debit card on file, and (d) all of this is at best laughably unprofessional and at worst an actual scam. I couldn't get much info about how this person was able to use my card. E.g. can they see my card data? or is it just pre-authorized for a site they signed me up for without my consent? So I'm going to have to cancel my card now, too. The woman I spoke with basically seemed like "yeah you ran up a bunch of minutes and now you want a refund. ugh, fine." At every stage, an absolute refusal to even acknowledge the possibility that someone else had done this and I wasn't lying.
It's such a shame, but at this point my advice is to steer WELL clear. Not because the content is no good (it's some of the best). Not because the site is difficult or lacking in features (no complaints there). Not because I had a hard time with customer support (ok that one is somewhat true). My advice is to steer clear because the company appears to have no scruples at this point, and you will be putting yourself at risk that you may not even realize. Like what other info did they just give away?
If they ever go under from piracy, I might go under from pointing and laughing.
The overlay ads on pages are bad enough; now there are overlay ads on streaming videos that you have to click to dismiss. They don't even come up when you first play, but later, so you're in the middle of watching and all the sudden there's this obnoxious ad in your way. Whose idea was it to antagonize paying subscribers? LOL
Just a word of warning that this site uses pre-checked cross sales tucked away in small type. I really wish these sites would focus on getting our money via a strong product, instead of hoping we don't notice that they're stealing it from us. Sleazetastic.
This site has changed its video format from DRM-hobbled WMV to a different DRM format, which now REQUIRES using their own special player (R Player). Wouldn't it be funny if every site made you install a new media player for just their oh-so-special and precious content? LOL
Just a heads-up, the TBP review says these titles are exclusive - they aren't. These are common titles from well-known Japanese studios. Many of these titles are available on JAVModel without DRM. Some do seem to be exclusive in that they are not available for download elsewhere (only DVD/BluRay) or are only available in standard definition elsewhere, but HD on this site.
Page loads are now excruciatingly slow most of the time (20-30 seconds or longer). Streaming videos are hit or miss - many don't even work. Downloadable videos are hosted on three different domains, all of which behave differently. It seems they are moving everything to Cloudfront (Amazon CDN). Cloudfront and the other newer server (Videobox-branded, don't know anything else about this one) are both unfriendly to download managers. If you queue several downloads, the ones further down the queue will likely have their authentication expire, and you will have to go back to each individual page to restart the download. I've joined this site many times in the past - this time I cancelled immediately. No longer recommended unless you'd rather spend WAY more time browsing than actually watching anything.
Also, I'm sure it's been noted, but the VAST majority of "new" movies added are old movies I've already seen recycled so many times i could probably recite the interviews. I'm pretty sure they're going for a record on how many times they can call the same New Sensations title "new". This seems even worse than it used to be, not a deal breaker but sort of annoying to sift through. Their "recently popular" section helps with this, but mainly just gives you two sections to check for new content (and more time spent waiting for pages to load).
This is a major edit to a previous comment. It looked like HD videos are no longer available but that is not the case. It is simply that all videos are marked as HD, even ones that are not. And the file sizes listed are completely wrong for the HD videos - they are much larger than what is displayed. For example i am downloading one right now listed as 319 MB but actually weighing in at 572.
So there does not seem to be any video content missing, just some that is mislabeled. And not all photo sets have Zip sets, and the navigation is pretty terrible. Content is great though, all in all still well worth the price if you can get the discount - just be prepared for some minor annoyances.
Another con to note, though it may be somehow specific to Firefox on Mac: I can never access all of the content at any given time. When I log in through the site I joined, then follow a link to content on an included site, often I get an error message that my user session has expired. Anyone else had this problem? Know a solution? Tonight it happens to be a certain few sites, last night it was a different few sites. Clearing cookies and restarting partially fixes, then it comes back. Seems like bad cookie management on their end, as I don't have this problem with any other sites. Their tech support advised me to clear cookies (I did, see above), and "try another browser" (I'm on the latest version of Firefox, give me a break). Lame.
This network seems to be undergoing a major update right now. Some of the older content which was DRM'd is reappearing without DRM, and the quality is amazing. Some older content is also now just straight up missing. I assume (hope) that it will be brought back in the new formats eventually.
HOWEVER. Download speeds are a COMPLETE JOKE these days. My average is about 80-90 kbps. Right now it's at 11.4. No joke, and that's not a misplaced decimal point - ELEVEN POINT FOUR. For comparison, downloads from another paysite are at 450 as I type this. The estimated time to finish downloading the newest episode of Contortionist (one of the newer sites on the network) is... oh, haha now it's down to 7.6 kbps and estimated at 31 hours.
Frankly, I should be getting a refund.
Oh, also... The new Flash player sucks. You can't scrub through the content until it has loaded. In light of the download speeds, that basically renders the player unusable.
I'm excited to see the content being brought up to date, but with these download speeds I have to call this a DO NOT BUY. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt due to the transition. But if it continues much longer I think it will warrant editing my review and dropping their score.
I'm careful signing up for these sites, so I'm not sure how I missed this... But I received an email from terapatrick.com with the UNIQUE username I used to sign up for MyXXXPass the day before, with the subject line "NO LOGIN 24 HRS AFTER JOIN". It was from their support address (support@famesupport.com ) notifying me that I had not "yet" logged in to their site, and inviting me to reply to that address if i have any problems.
TWELVE DAYS LATER, after four replies from me, including the ticket number this email said to include, I have not receieved a single response from this third party. I called the phone number and their offices are closed.
I'm not sure what, if anything, differentiates this from a scam.
