Watching the scenes being released from the "I am Riley" DVD, it strikes me that these scenes could have been released by another studio. There's no concentration on extreme anal stuff or gaping or anything particularly outre. And the same could be said of the Cam Girls stuff that Evil Angel did earlier this year. Is it a sign of Evil Angel maturing? Or relaxing? Or not worrying about whether they are doing everything in a way that fits a certain mold? I dunno. Some people might not like it at all. Me, I'm happy about it. I want to see Evil Angel do what they want to do and just make good porn of various types with no obligation for gape scenes or other stunt work.
Although TBP's Evil Angel discount says that it's a recurring discount of $9.95/month, that is not what Evil Angel is actually delivering. I just signed up through TBP's link and I got 1 month at $9.95, recurring at $39.95/month. Quite a difference!
It's always cool to see an established studio/site do something new. Evil Angel is doing something I've never seen done before with their new "Cam Girls: The Movie," a "docu-porn" hybrid of backstage reality segments, candid interviews and four new, hardcore scenes. They start out with candid/reality tv type stuff introducing the 2 experienced cam girls, who are coming to LA to do their first professional shoots, then they have 4 different pro scenes directed by various Evil Angel directors. I love the whole concept and, being a huge fan of John Stagliano's work, the first scene is awesome.
If I remember correctly, there was a time when Evil Angel displayed all of their content - if you didn't like certain content, you ignored it. Then they put the check box there to see Trans/Shemale content - you clicked the box, you saw all of their content. They have now added another obstacle to seeing Trans content.
To start off, they don't display it. If you want to see Trans or bi content, you have to click those boxes. You click the boxes, nothing changes. Now you have to click the box or boxes that you want them to display the content of, reload the page and only then will it show you the content that had been left out originally. Perhaps they have found that a lot of their members are hostile to that content and even if they click the box in error, they're horrified if they see content they hadn't wanted to see.
John Stagliano has different tastes in women than I do, which causes me to skip some of his work - more than I would like, because in terms of porn film-making, he's among the very best, without a doubt. Luckily he's chosen some performers I really like in his new DVD, and the results are awesome - I love his weird angles, the way his camera work feels like a person watching much of the time, the use of music and sound, the fascination with how hot women look clothed as well as naked, and the crazy ass sex.

I suppose that there are times when Evil Angel's content gets to be in a relative slump - this ain't one of those times. The Teen-a-holics DVD that they posted a few days ago is excellent, but what I really like about Evil Angel is their ability to highlight stuff that didn't sound like it would be appealing to me much at all and then to blow me away with how good it is - the latest example is the scene between Alina Li and Marica Haze engaging in plastic wrap and breath play in a scene from Fetish Fanatic 14. And they don't forget the greatness of great tease and eye contact with the camera. This is where I feel that Evil Angel's stuff has it all over Kink's stuff, which I find overly clinical and about the acts themselves without the importance stuff, which is how hot the acts get the performers and should get the audience. Keep it up Evil Angel - the best kinky site in porn, far as I'm concerned.
It used to be simple to cancel a subscription through this website. Now you get a message telling you to call a phone # where all the operators are busy - or you can e-mail them or enter info on their website telling them to cancel - neither of which gets a response in a timely way.
Evil Angel has been a great studio in the past. Their new updates are incredible. I love Jay Sin's new stuff and Joey Silvera's new stuff with Nacho Vidal is incredible. The scene with Nacho and Sandy (of Club Sandy) taking turns training Skin Diamond is one of the best porn scenes I have ever seen in my life - and presented in full HD (1920 X 1080 are the stats) that look beautiful.
One caveat - they are putting up a lot of premieres and exclusives and those premieres and exclusives are stream-only for 2-3 weeks (their protection against pirating one can assume).
This site gets better and better in my opinion and the TBP discount is one helluva great deal.
Evil Angel has a number of different sites - it gets very confusing. They've got EvilAngelVideo.com, which is their site for showing off their new releases. And from there, they have links to a number of different websites of theirs - but not EvilAngel.com, which describes itself as the Evil Angel Official Website - but is not linked to EvilAngelVideo.com?

Then John Stagliano's site is Buttman.com - and that's part of a network of sites - which also isn't connected to EvilAngel.com - more reason to say "Huh?"
Interestingly, Buttman.com is getting a lot more exciting, posting material from a number of different directors, rather than just John's stuff, which has been the case up until a week or so ago. They have posted material by 2 Russian ass-obsessed directors, Omar Galanti, whose stuff was very much like a Russian version of John Stagliano - a good thing - and another director, Timo.

If you join for a period of time, joining this network is a better deal on Evil Angel stuff, in my opinion, than getting the Evil Angel upgrade at Videobox
It's interesting to see the relationship between this site and other secondary 21st Sextury sites and their premium sites, such as Club Sandy. One might assume that there is a protracted time between the posting of a set in one of their premium sites and when that set shows up in one of their secondary sites, but I started looking around after being blown away by a set with Crystal Crown. Their online cancel feature sucks - no 2 ways about it, and they should fix it if they want to be a professional website.
The next option is to email them. I emailed at 9:50 PM last night, received a response at 9:22 am this morning confirming my cancellation. Less than 12 hours is good response time.
Hopefully they'll make that the norm for everyone and get their online cancellation working. They'll scare a lot less customers away by doing so.
