Interesting review - thanks for doing it. I've been thinking about trying a membership at Private but I think I'll wait based on your review. Your complaints about Private seem similar to my complaints about Hustler. Private and Hustler are two of the biggest names in the adult business and you'd think that they'd put the resources into getting it right. But both don't seem to have bothered. I wonder if it isn't partly a mentality that they're too big and too important to fail. Tell that to some car manufacturers and banks. Part of the sad reality though is that this industry isn't known for its customer service model. I suspect that both Private and Hustler figure that they could invest in making a great site that brings in a lot of revenue or they could make a crappy site that still brings in a lot of revenue. One of the reasons that I really like Kink and American Vice is that they leave a member with a sense that they actually care what the customer wants.

OK, then the site itself is misleading, because the preview shows all the covers of the various magazine lines from the first issue. Also Duke's review at TheBestPorn.com implies that all the magazines would be available: "The Private mag is the best section with things categorized by decade going back to the first issue in 1965. All of the site's issues can be viewed online or downloaded in full as in JPEG zip files and newer ones have PDF and JPEG options."
I just thought it would be fun to see how styles have changed over the decades. I have a few old copies of Private magazines myself, none of them older than 1980's, though.
Anyway I'll keep an eye out on the site and how it improves.

What kind of resolution is the magazine archive? Comparable to print versions? From the TBP review I got the impression that the older magazines are not in PDF format, which is understandable given that they go back to 1965, but if they are scanned JPEG's, what kind of quality? Can you read the print etc.
Probably not interested enough to join anyway but curious.

I've tried download mgrs before and had a really hard time making them work properly. I tried download accselerators as well and still no dice. Ok so since my membership is still active im downloading as i write this. These are the video speeds i'm getting.
For one its 612kbs
For two its 425kbs
For three its 240kbs
For Four its 222kbs
For Five its 76kbs
I know that downloading all these at once also slows down the process. But with other sites i get roughly twice the numbers shown above.
But if you know of any download mgrs that have worked for you please let me know and ill try them.
As for the repeats i probably didn't phrase it the right way. I did see repeats. But also I would see the same scene just cut up into multiple scenes. I'm not sure if that helps in explaining anything about my review.
Sorry about all the spelling errors.

Hey slutty, I don't know what has happened to Viv. He had also been promising higher resolution pictures, but those haven't happened either. Still, like you, the quality of the action on the screen seems to outweigh the need for the highest technical quality of the videos. I wish he would update more too. Considering how much porn he has filmed, he has to have a few thousand clips laying around!

As best we can figure out, it's just a mistake on that signup page. We still see 15 sites included with membership. Sometimes webmasters do not update their join pages (especially special deal join pages like we've arranged through TBP/PU).
We wrote the webmaster but so far, we haven't seen a reply.
If you want to be sure, you could simply join through one of the other sites (which do show the 15 sites on their join page). For example, joining through Teen Mega World will give you access to Teen Sex Mania as well as the other sites.

In this early state I'm not sure - they claim daily updates - must have missed one or two...?
Still - they site looks better with that deal (too) since I was here last - maybe one and a half year ago. Anyway: the content, quality and the amount has improved a lot in that time...
May get back with a reivew. (I'm a little 'rusty' in writing reviews at the moment)

Steve Lightspeed is the King of Recycling Content - he's been using the same limited amount of content for years, occasionally tossing a bone of something new. There are many sites that say they have teens, but they are in their late 20s.
An AV Idol performs in the legal Japanese porn industry basically. There are no uncensored videos in the Japanese porn industry. The uncensored stuff isn't made in Japan (except for illegal underground stuff I suppose). The idols aren't permitted to do uncensored.

I ask because I had one of the TBP Editors look at this and (logging in with their acct) they saw all three sites you mentioned plus the rest of the sites in the Teen Mega World network so far as they could tell.

That's really a worthwhile warning. Many of the bonus sites have little to no value (my personal opinion). There are around 5 sites in this network that have almost all the value (worthwhile videos), and if you don't get those sites as part of your membership, the value of the membership goes way down.
I think it's irritating the way this network does not clearly spell out the sites that are included in each membership. The site owner/provider should simplify the membership network and make every site in the network available with a membership in any of the sites.
If you join this site and find you don't get access to all the primary (worthwhile) sites in the network, and you realize this fact (because you joined before or you read reviews explaining which of the network sites have the most value), you would be disappointed and feel the network had basically cheated you and was not giving full value.
End of rant. But I feel the way the provider slices and dices access to the primary bonus sites is disappointing.

I agree there are plenty of worse sites out there. Like you say, if you take the time to dig through the site you will find some nice pictures of attractive models. But as I get older, I'm less willing to spend a lot of time digging through the trash; I want quality photos (or videos) put on display where I can easily find them.
My suggestion of a score less than 70 for this site is really more of a quibble than a serious disagreement. I basically agree with the points you made in your review. I personally find it difficult to come up with a score for sites, because I believe a site score is very subjective. That's my belief, but I recognize that some people appear to believe their scores are written in stone and are based on immutable factors that should be obvious to all (I am not including you as part of that camp).

So what is a reasonable score for a site that's not worth joining? Individual preferences vary wildly, but I think any score of 70 or above is too high for this site. That's just my opinion, of course, but I think that more emphasis should be put on making the score reflect the attractiveness/value of a site, as to whether the site is worth joining or not.
