I guess they figured out that people don't mind too much paying for premium titles because they seem to have more and more of them and like Hot Movies the titles are not always what I would consider to be premium porn.

It sounds like we're on the same page with these sites. Yes, they have big flaws, namely no downloading or downloading with DRM (and a high price tag), but if the choice is not seeing a title that I want to see versus streaming it at a VOD site then the choice is easy for me. Of course I always check a title on Videobox to see if they have it first because that's a better deal.

Excellent review. Most PU members don't seem to like VOD / PPM sites, and, as you note, there's a good reason for that: the cost can be high. I'm in my second month of a Super Pass membership here and while there are a lot of titles that aren't very good, with 8000+ videos on the SP channel there is still a lot to keep me around. I regularly use several VOD / PPM sites and I agree with you when you point out the size of AEBN. I'm sure it is bigger than several of their competitors combined.
My experience with the search function wasn't as positive as yours. I found it was pretty much useless.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only AEBN fan here.

Well this is really new territory for ALS--just read the first two responses to my comment--hardcore has never been their thing. At all. For longtime members this is like throwing out the Bill of Rights because it goes against what the site has been traditionally doing for years.
Good to hear she's not shy though!

It's a buck...AND I only get to stream 2 vids. I had a membership about 6 mos. ago so I was trying to get a trial so I dl all the stuff I missed before I get a subscription to Killergram. I don't doubt it but even if they do then I don't think they use it all that much to update Brazzer because most of the Euro girls that appear on the site seem to all be shooting in the US.

Are they some of their older scenes? I usually download the new updates within a day or so of their release so I rarely look beyond the first week. I do know that some people complained last year when some of the videos were not released in HD right away. I never checked if they got added but the general consensus was that they had issue with the encoding and that the videos would get added in HD at a later date.

Thanks for the suggestion hodayathink. Calling them on the telephone and listening to more of their BS is probably just a waste of more time. I told them in writing in the online chat that they were basically stealing my money and they didn't care so telling them again by telephone seems redundant, but I will take the other route you mention and notify my credit card company that the charge is a scam.

I'll give you Naughty America because they shoot porn in California but but I can't give you RK and bangbros because they shoot porn on the East Coast. I think Miami is their normal hunting ground. What can I say. LA is probably the capital of breast implants. I don't think Miami can say the same. Another reason why RK and Bangbros have a lot less girls with implants is that they hire European and South American performers and implants is more rare for those girls.
I agree that Brazzer caters more to the large breast market than some other sites but I don't think that's what they set out to do in the beginning. I just think that the popular models have implants and Brazzer hired them for their popularity. They probably didn't get too many complaints because the girl was popular and people were willing to overlook the impkants to see her do HC porn so they hired more girls with implants and so on.

I will also say that I had an extra 30 cent charge come from the same billing company (and the only other website I use doesn't use them). It's the only extra charge I've seen, and it's a very small amount (which is why I haven't gone through the hassle of finding out what happened), but it did happen for no apparent reason. Their forums are active, and I've seen people get service when something has gone wrong, but it's primarily only if you keep yelling about it and make them want to shut you up. And this is to say nothing about how other people/companies in the adult industry feel about the way Brazzers does business (look it up sometime, it's an interesting read).
So, in the end, would I recommend this site to another person? Yes, as long as you made sure to avoid any upsells and pre-checked cross-sales. But I honestly see no real reason to be a subscriber for more than a month at a time.

In regards to our site at least, that's not correct from our experiences. Photo fans love what we do and they join, and rebill. I am sure there are some that don't stay, I don't mean to suggest they all stay/rebill - lol, that's not how sites work anymore. We do have a high rebill rate though which to me, suggests we're doing something right. Again, not perfect, but right enough for most.
We're know for our photos over videos 10 to 1 easy as we don't promote with videos. That's changing a bit now that we've gone to hardcore.. people are taking note of screen caps etc it seems. (go figure)
Like I said, barely a handful in four years have been unhappy regarding lack of zips. Truth be told, I wish we could offer them, because to me, it's a value added service for sure. Can't please everyone I guess. thanks for taking the time though to add your thoughts on it all.

That's not correct actually. Sorry to be the bad guy - but it's been over four years that we have not offered zips. The only people bitching about it - are in this site.
I have had three people ask, ever, in four years. Sure, some others perhaps looked for zips and then cancelled. I agree with that as well, the customer should be happy in what they get fior their money. The issue becomes - is the customer realistic about hat their membership buys them or is worth?
For example - how many times you join a site and the photos are small, blurry, they consider high res to be 1200 pixels or something. They consider "HD VIDEO" to be 1280x720 and while technically - that is HD... ummm.. it's not 1920x1080. I have joined solo model sites myself where you get inside and the girl has 30-40 sets and each set is some webcam set of 20-30 photos.
We are not competing with large pro sites in the least. We offer large images (up to 4000 pixels) as well as higher res HD videos. We offer steady updates and some of the girls cam from time to time as well. Not all and not always on a set schedule, but they post when they are going to do it.
We offer a more personal experience than the majority of sites out there, or so our members that have stayed with us and rebilled for 4 straight years tell us.
i'm not liked because I'm blunt. I'm an asshole at times and I don't buy into the mindset 'the customer is always right'. The customer can be wrong, just as I can, just as anyone can be. We don't bend the network to what someone tells us we 'have to do'. Instead we laugh at those people and do what we want to do instead. At the same time, I get respect because I work my ass off for my members. It's not uncommon for someone to follow me on twitter and see me working through ti 8am the next day, sleep for three hours, start again. - It's just Bryci and I running the entire network. I run 98% of things, she handles the things I ask her to jump in on. We're far from perfect, and I don't always respond as fast as I'd like. I didn't even know some of these responses were here - thus why i am going apeshit crazy now :) We do try though, which is more than I can say for most network/sites out there I have been a member of.
It's easy to mass purchase content, slap up a site and offer zips. No girls to be sad their faces are all over the net for free. Nobody to answer to. that describes most multi model sites pretty close. Not all of course.
We're having fun, we have a higher rebill % than many sites out there. i can be outspoken and I have enemies for being Bryci's husband. By default "that guy is a douche" is the safe comment It's funny, but I don't take it to heart. I'm anything but. I pay my taxes, I helped buy my Mom her house, I donate to the SPCA regularly and and ask anyone that knows me, including any of the girls that work with me and they'll tell you I'd give them the shirt off my back. Be true to yourself and others will appreciate it - is all we do.

But somebody had to care about them enough to rip them off the site and after that many people had to care enough to spread and/or pirate them further to make the issue significant. Of course, during that time the site probably had friends and collectors of photography as subscribers.
I guess this means that soon they don't bother with taking photos at all :(

Thanks indeed for the info and for listing the other sites. Tonight's Girlfriend was also on my radar. I know some other big US networks have a second network with slightly different sites but guess Naughty America prefers the separate sites approach.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed the site. I appreciate your assessment of where it needs improvement as well. It started one year ago 9/4/09 with only 20 BJ videos so it has been a long climb up. You mentioned all the issues we are in the process of improving upon now. This week the site is being moved to new servers hosted by a very professional company which is knowledgeable and experienced working with very large adult sites. This should vastly increase our download speed.
Next week a new top of the line content management system (CMS) is due to be installed on the new servers which will accommodate multi-format and multi-bandwidth downloads and streaming as well as search capabilities. This should make the site far more manageable, freeing up time so I can do more of what I love doing, video shoots. It will also improve navigation for users making the viewing experience more enjoyable.
My goal is, and always has been to keep the site truly amateur while improving it as much as possible without becoming too PRO. This is not an easy thing to do and I often struggle with the decisions I make. One of my biggest decisions now is whether to offer HD. Does it or doesn't it take away from the amateur feel of the video? This will be my next big move if I should decide to do it.
