This is a difficult site to grade because with the problems mentioned, it has a ton of very hard to get material. The material (meaning video/film) covers the whole 20th Century. Up to the 1940s, the offerings are sparse, but after that increase greatly in volume. Something like 7500 films all told. These are all derived from the mammoth "Blue Vanities" collection, that you may remember from video stores. (By the way, if you go to the Blue Vanities review here, it just redirects to this site).
The 1970s section to me is the most impressive. You have all the "Swedish Erotica" series, "Diamond", "Pretty Girls", "Dirty Movies", "Diverse Industries", "Screw", "Playmate", "Lasse Braun", "Collection", "Pleasure", and a whole lot more. Back in the day, this stuff cost a fortune, if you had a projector. Back then they were released as silents. Soundtracks have been added here (but not all of them). You will only hear the soundtrack after you download---the streaming versions have generic soundtracks, or even a projector sound no doubt because of the copyright infringements! There are so many of these loops, shorts, and stags that a month hardly scratches the surface.
There are problems however. A lot of the videos are streaming only. I solved this easily by downloading them with the latest RealPlayer, and then converting to another format. A bit time consuming, but worth the effort. Another problem I encountered was mislabeled films. Sometimes the film will have the title in the film, so you can label it that way.
The streams here for me have been flawless. A good way to preview what you want to download. The videos are DRM free. Download speed is average (ie:500 kb/s). They are offered in MPEG, with 2 different sizes: 720x480; 320x240. they do not label their video with technical detail. They have a page where digitally restored films are available. Obviously this is a slow process; as of this writing they have 41 done. Look great though. Forget the photo section---pretty much all screencaps.
Updating has slowed down recently, haven't seen one in 3 weeks. Maybe they're on vacation or something. They claim to still be processing the videos to get them online, which is probably true.
I give this site a high score chiefly because of the incredible hard to find content. If you're looking for that cheap porno thrill---move on, you won't like it. If you are a collector of vintage porn, this is the mother lode.

Pornstar Classics is for the lover of the good old days. If you weren't alive in the good old days, you may find it interesting, but of course the film/video is aged. This site has improved a lot since I was a member a few years ago.
I don't count the aged look of the film/video as a negative, because this is a classic site. Some of the stuff is about 40 years old. Personally I sort of like it, because it brings me back. All the old great stars are here: Ginger Lynn, Annette Haven, Johnny Wadd, Tina Russell, etc. In the old days, this stuff was very expensive, first as film, then early VHS. It was difficult to collect a lot. Now it's all at your fingertips. They have tons of full features, but also a lot of the old "loops", like the Showgirl series.
The main extra site here is Caballero Classics, a great extra. They have a huge library as well, all their own titles. All told, so far they have about 700 films. They only update about 2 films every 2 weeks though.
They only have .wmv available here, but in 3 sizes, the largest being 640X480 927kbps. It's too bad they don't have many photos---scans of the old mags would be great if they could manage it. I'm downloading here at 1.2MB/s. The star index needs to be improved, but is functional.
A great feature of these sites is the Videobox style scene editor. All sites need this.
I give this a high score because the material is so great. Only the old timers may like this site, but newbies may want to check out what Dad was watching!

I had to write a new review and raise my score 2 points because of dramatic improvements to this site. The VIP section of the site has raised the download limit from 12GB/day to 36GB/day. Previously, the VIP side of the site had only realmedia and realvideo files. They are in the process of converting these files to .wmv, they already have many done. The real files remain as well.
The Digital Xpress section of the site increased the download limit from 15GB/month to 50GB/month. That's good,and they offer .avi, but you can always convert the .wmvs offered in VIP to .avi with a good converter. So VIP is by far the better bargain.
The site has over 7000 videos, and updates frequently. New JAV releases, old and hard to find releases are in their library.
The site also has a huge library of photos (no zip files though), including action, scans, and gravures.
A huge catalog of JAV stars, each with her own section with videos, photos, and screencaps of each video.
To reiterate: this site has 2 membership options.
VIP--36GB/DAY limit. .rm, .rv, and .wmv files.

The name of this site is appropriate because the only way to effectively use it is to download by pornstar. I set up a folder with all the pornstars having their own folder inside, and found all the girls I wanted to download. This is how they present their huge library of videos---by scene. The problem is their search engine has to be the worst I've ever seen, a total disaster. Don't even try using it. Use the index of pornstars instead. Another member here posted a method of extracting all the scenes from a video (see comments), and it works, but is too time consuming.
My score would have been lower because of this, however they have an impressive library of material, of which I am still scratching the surface. And this is with excellent download speed. They have modern pornstars, and pornstars from the last 10 years or so (which I like), and really, there's so much stuff here at a reasonable price (use the trial, cancel and you get it for 9.99). That's why it cries out for a functional search engine.
They only have .wmv available---a standard size (480x360) and a "HD-DVD Quality" (640x480). The videos all have decent descriptions, and they do have screencaps for each vid, which is handy. They have a lot of photos for their pornstars, but with no zip files I don't have the time to bother with them. I'm not seeing any real hi-res there.
They update very frequently, on a daily basis, which is good, but it comes out in a hodge-podge, they won't list the whole DVD.
If you are looking for some good video to download, no matter who is in it, you are going to have difficulty wading through this site and may become frustrated. It's best used to collect pornstars by going through their sections and downloading what you like.

The ancient ones are in mpeg divided into 10 parts (dialup); there aren't many of those, but there are some interesting girls way back there, so you may want to go through all 52 pages.
The photos for the recent sets are good--1600px and are zipped. I'm getting excellent download speed here (+1MB/s).

I avoided this site for a long time, mainly because of the price. But I'm frickin' sick and tired of watching stunt cocks ruin scene after scene so having them behind a wall works real well! This is the best HJ site out there, mostly because they do it right. It stays on topic and doesn't stray from the niche, which a lot of niche sites do, to my great annoyance. The producer and director here make a real effort to do it right. They are aware of one of the real problems in western porn, especially with niches like this: the "stunt dicks" (their term!) often ruin scenes in niches like this. We don't want to see the male props giving themselves handjobs! This site tries their best to avoid this spectacle, although sometimes it's a losing battle, through no fault of their own. And---importantly---they understand that the viewer does not desire to hear the director talking. You don't get that here, and high marks to them for that. You can discuss these and other issues with them in their forum. All sites should have a forum.
The videos are 640x480 (wmv). As of this writing, there are 297 of them. They are well produced. You can download them whole, in small parts, or in very small parts. Each scene also includes a slow motion climax, and a behind the scenes video. The oldest videos have some not very appealing girls in them, but generally the latest updates are just fine. You get screencaps with every scene.
The photos are 1500px, and very well photographed. However---no zip files! Come on guys, get those zip files up! Photos are not a side attraction, lots of us like them better than the vids. No excuse for not having zip files in this day and age.
There are 2 extra sites, the "Dicksuckers" being tha main attraction. It isn't real easy getting there though, and you have to sign in again when you do. That should be fixed. But it also is a good site, and mirrors Mano technically, with a lot of the same girls (obviously they do 2 separate scenes for the site).
You can bookmark your favorite scenes, which is handy (all sites should have this feature), but the site's navigation needs some work. Could be more user friendly and attractive, they have a model listing that is a bit of a mess.

Finally joined this site after thinking about it for a long time. Decided to because it offers high quality, high resolution photography.
The photos are very professionally produced. And they come in 3 sizes: 600, 1200, 4000 px. They can be downloaded in zip files. The download speed is fair to good.
The vids are HD, 1280x720, very lush. They are not DRM protected.
There are 10 pages of models, many well known. All told, there are about 1400 sets. They have (to date) 382 videos. A good solid archive.
So why the low score? A couple reasons. Much of the photography is as unerotic as it comes. I will give them big credit for not having repetitious shots (ie 14 in a row of a model standing around in the same pose). But many of their sets are, well, kind of bland.
Another problem is if you are a true collector of fine nudes, it is very difficult and time consuming to use this site. For instance, when you download a set and unzip it, the folder is named "Large", or "Small", whichever size you downloaded. So you will have to rename the folder after the set. And the cover of the set is not included in the folder. Therefore you must download it separately. All very time consuming, a real drag. What is so difficult about labeling a set's folder, and including the set's cover in the folder? Makes one wonder if this is a deliberate action to force the paying customer into spending more time at the site than he would wish. Every file being labeled exactly the same? You see the problem. Downloading should be fun, and not a chore.
If you're thinking, I don't care, I just want to download some hot nekkid girls---forget it. This site isn't for you either. You'll be bored quickly.

You can count on one hand top shelf JAV sites available to westerners, as a matter of fact I have a suspicion they are all owned by the same company! However, if you are really into A grade JAV (Japanese Adult Video), Sexasian 18 has a ton of material which is increasing on a daily basis.
The videos are divx avi, 640x480. The download speed I'm getting is about 900 kb/s, and is consistent. 8 GB/day is not a problem for me, but I know a lot of PU's like to go hog crazy with their downloading, so be aware of the limit. There is no DRM here whatsoever. Every video has a preview player on the page to allow a peek before you download the usually 1 GB video. Every video is also broken down by scene for those who don't want the whole thing, or have a slower connection. I do wish they had better screencaps, which here are just a few small size shots. Also, I like to collect the DVD cover with my download, and these are quite small unfortunately.

This site has a ton of material dating back to the 90's. The photos are zipped for your convenience. The newer photos are 2000px. The oldest photos are glorified avatars.
A ton of videos also, 1000k bitrate, I couldn't get the size. Nothing special in video quality, but a lot of variety, they have a whole section of virtual lapdances that are very intriguing.

Twisty's is a site loaded with photos and videos that is frequently updated and will keep you busy for as long as you like. At this time it has approximately a whopping 1000 models. And a lot of these models have many sets contained within. So that adds up to more than you can download. This makes the site a bargain at the price. The models are mostly Euro and American. Too many American porn actresses I think though because at this time the XXX American girl is not top of the shelf. However, you will see American models like Shay Laren! The photos are hi-res, the newer ones I see at about 1600px, but even the old sets will still give you 1024px, not bad for the old days. They are zipped. There are a ton of vids here (2119 as of this review) in the 720x480, 640x480 range. Available in wmv and mov, the stream loads fast. Segment or full D/L. The download speed here is very fast, although some members have had problems, I think the problem for them was one of routing. I downloaded consistently at over 1mb/s for one file, 700kb/s for multiple files. The webmaster is hands on here, there is a forum you should join as he answers all questions promptly and is very open to suggestions and the resolution of complaints. It's plain to seee that he cares about his site and his paying customers, that is always good to see. So for a ton of exclusive material that will have you hogging your ISP's bandwidth, you will not be disappointed if this kind of material is to your liking!

This is a difficult site to review, due to the duo membership fees which I will explain in a bit. If you are a JAV collector, this site is an absolute goldmine. I think it's been online since 2001, and as of this review, has 7564 videos of 1865 JAV idols. And it updates daily. I see here videos I have not seen elsewhere, and some of the top idols have dozens of videos in their pages. Most of the JAV girls have photos available also, but this is mainly a video site. I have been downloading like crazy, but haven't even scratched the surface. They have a good search engine, which will search by actress, movie, series, ratings and more. Here comes the strange part: There are 2 membership options, that are separate. The VIP option allows you to download all the videos in rm and the higher res rmvb formats. The rms are 225kb/s, not as bad as you would think--these are only the older vids. The rmvb are 700kb/s. Some people won't like Real at all, I don't mind it for building a library. The Digital Xpress membership is for the divx format. However, it has a D/L limit of 15GB A MONTH. VIP is 12GB a day, I haven't been able to reach that. No limit on streaming. What to make of this? You DL till the cows come home with VIP, but may not like the format. 15GB/month for Hi Q vid is pretty stingy IMO. JSEX is 8GB/day. But the vid library here is awesome. So you see my problem. My score would be in the 97/98 range if it weren't for this duo membership. You have to decide for yourself.

Here we go...the great "genius" Petter Hegre, I hear that over and over again. So, I thought I better give this another shot, and see if I can change my quick score from last summer. I couldn't. Hegre is a former colleague of Galitsin (whose site is closed), and IMO, he can't carry Galitsin's camera case. I see nothing original or exciting in this man's photography---competent? Certainly. Even professional. But the cause of raving praise? Hardly. And his models? Mostly anorexic types. A lot of them very plain. His site leaves me....limp. That's the only way to put it. Maybe the problem is he believes all the hype about himself. Maybe he doesn't want to pay high class models. Whatever, I won't be back. A real disappointment. Technically, the high res photos come in 6 sizes, zipped up and convenient, very impressive. Too bad the photos are boring as milk. The videos are as boring as the photos. 640x360. Good server speed. Crush went offline a year or so ago, so it is nice to see it back in action. It does need some work though, particularly with its video section. The videos are behind current standards, they are mpegs split into 1 or 2 minute segments, which means 6 or 7 for each episode. They are low resolution (304x240). That's not going to cut it in today's HD world. Hopefully this will be addressed in the near future, because I like the concept of the Crush "Empire". The site has an aura of fantasy and color which I appreciate. My personal opinion is that porn should be divorced from reality as much as possible. That's just my opinion, for those who have a preference toward "reality" based porn, this site is surely not for you. Crush touches more upon the imagination rather than the groin! She disappeared into real life many years ago, but her sets are still here! (Poor girl, I bet she would be thrilled aboutr that!). This looks like a site that hasn't awakened to the new age of internet porn. Some of the newer material is good, photos at 1500px, and vids at 640x480 (wmv). But an awful lot of this material is stuff you could find on some low grade blog for free. The site is very unnatractive, nothing interesting to it at all. Navigation is very basic and cumbersome. I didn't find much to save from this site. There are a bunch of extra sites, mostly small and unappealing, with the exception of Teen Eva, a small site with photosets of the former Zora7, no zip files here, but a real cutie, although not much modelling ability. If this was 1998, I'd say this was a killer site. But in 2008, Teen Flood must catch up with all the HQ sites competing for our money with their newly bloated prices!

Of all the sites in the Pancho network, Ariel Rebel is a pleasant surprise. First of all, it seems to be on a much better server than the rest. The download speeds are fast, and site navigation is crisp, as opposed to the others I have reviewed thus far. Ariel is definitely a cutie, and her site has lots of material. The photos are available in zips, and are 1024px, the low end of hi-res, but crisp. Ariel is very photogenic. The photos are indexed by month, with each month having 10-12 sets, going back to December 2005. The videos are indexed by format, avi (620x480) and wmv (720x480). As of this review there are 72 of them. They're OK, a little on the amateurish side technically. Ariel has a few girlfriends she plays with in some of the vids. Although it seems to have taken a bit of a holiday break, the site does seem to update regularly. I can see why Ariel is a favorite of many in internet land, and I think her site strengthens this particular network, which is pricey. BTW, Ariel is active with her blog.

Kristina Fey is part of a network that includes 29 other sites and is probably the best of the lot. The server here is a bit slow when navigating through the material, although the smallish zipped photosets and videos download quickly. As of this review, there are 476 photosets, at 1024px. The site is still updating every 3 days, although it seems to have taken a holiday break. Kristina is a pretty girl who poses very well, she seems to be a natural before the camera. A lot of the earlier sets however are completely non nude, but later sets shows Kristina in her glory. The avi videos are 720x576. There are as of this review 45 of them. The usual softcore variety, but Kristina is photogenic and playfull in these. If you like this girl, you will find plenty of quality material here.

Ivy's site is part of a network that includes 29 other sites. Downloading the photo zips is fast enough, but loading a single 1024px photo is like using dialup. Irritating when trying to take a peek at a set. Ivy is a pretty girl, and the photosets are nice, but the sets each contain a small amount of photos. She has 122 sets, a lot of them are split, but it looks like this site has not updated in quite a while. There are no time stamps. There are only 7 softcore videos here, none available in full length. Although there are 30 sites available, a lot of them have little to offer. The $34.95 price tag therefore is a bit pricey, but there is some good material to be had.
