Pros: - Large site that continues to grow - Part of the Kink.com family of sites - Excellent value for the price (it is worth every dime) - Updates weekly with one scene added - Many well-known American and European stars - Some lesser known models - Beautiful models - Innovative site - Unique site, in the true sense of that word - 186 shoots as of this writing - Picture available (singles and zips) Cons: - Photo zips are not of the full set (you need to download several zips to get the full shoot) Bottom Line: Yes, I know this is my fourth review of this site but I’ll try to keep it interesting and informative. It’s tough to compare PD to anything else on the internet. It seems to be in a class by itself. The same can be said for many Kink sites. They take a common BDSM niche and add a wrinkle to it that makes it more interesting. And they add in production values that are among the best in the business (I think they are the best, but I don’t want to bait a reader for an argument). As I write this there are 186 scenes posted with another one due today or tomorrow. One scene is added each week. The format is unchanged: the scenes can be roughly divided into two classes, those shot in the U.S. and those shot in Europe. The scenes shot in Europe really push the limits of public nudity, and I don’t mean that in a negative sense. With some European countries not having the same hang-ups about nudity that we prudish North Americans do there is always a segment of the scene where the model is exposed, used and abused in a very public environment. One of the elements that, for me, makes public nudity alluring is seeing the public’s reaction. Sites that edit that out, or make the nudity seem commonplace lose, in my opinion, all the heat. That isn’t the case with PD’s European shoots. Even though these scenes are shot in places where public nudity doesn’t have passersby running to the nearest policeman or priest, PD is able to get the heat level up and keep it up. One of the usual reactions, which I think adds to the heat, is that people pull out their cellphones and start taking pictures. Maybe I’m weird (okay, that’s almost certain) but that adds a lot to the realism and heat in these scenes. The U.S. scenes used to be mostly shot in Kink’s location in San Francisco. These are hot too, but the public element comes from bringing the public in to the Armories where the environment is controlled rather than taking the model out to the public. This is obviously safer, but in the past while Kink has become more daring in their American shoots. They aren’t ‘public’ in the same sense as the European scenes, but they are occur in more ‘public’ spaces like bars and sex shops where access can be controlled. There are some truly public shoots, such as a scene shot partially at the Folsom Street Fair which probably pushes the limits for American tolerance. PD has a great variety of models. You’d expect given the nature of the site that it would have mostly fetish models who are known for this kind of work, but there are a number of U.S. and European porn stars who make an appearance too. (The scene with Jada Stevens in a gas station is worth the membership fee itself…) I’m not too sure about some of the European models as I don’t follow many of them, but I’m assuming that many of them are popular porn stars. One constant is even though there is a variety of body types among the models they are all beautiful. I suspect that PD is able to attract well-known and beautiful models is in no small part a testament to Kink’s reputation for quality. One possible downside for some people (though I don’t list this as a con since it is so subjective) is that the male talent tends to be the same in each scene. That’s no issue for me, but if you happen to not like Steve Holmes, Mark Davis or James Deen then this may detract from the site. Being a Kink site, the technical stuff is well done. Each scene offers a trailer, photos and video. Video is available as a stream or downloadable as a WMV (HD), WMV, MP4 (HD) and in sizes for mobile devices. I downloaded the WMV HD scenes and they come in at 1280x720 at 7200kb/s and 30fps. They’re in Codec 9. Subjectively they look great. The photos are available in two resolutions (800x533 and 1200x800). They’re available as singles or zipped. The one thing that I think Kink could do better is offer the entire series of photos as a single zip. I’m not sure why, but they break the scene into sub-scenes and offer zips of each of those. I have no issue with that (though I don’t understand why they do it) but they should offer the full set as one zip too. The subjects of degradation and humiliation come up on the forums and in comments here a lot and tend to be almost universally panned by PU members. For people who like BDSM and know Kink.com, this isn’t news, but for those who don’t know them, this is BDSM done right. People like Max Hardcore and the lads at Facial Abuse degrade and humiliate women for their own pleasure. Kink, including PD, degrade and humiliate women for the woman’s pleasure and their pleasure is obvious whether a non-submissive understands that or not. The bottom line is that PD isn’t for everyone, but if you like BDSM in a public environment this is pretty much your only option. The good news is that even though PD is in a class of one, the site is excellent and is an excellent value. Pros: - Likely the biggest VOD collection on the internet - Many titles not available anywhere else - Multiple ways to stream and download - Good search function - Can sort by theme/niche - Can sort by studio - Good search function - Offers a subscription to “channels” which allow unlimited streaming of select titles Cons: - Can get VERY expensive - Videos are DRM-protected unless you pay (dearly) for a DRM-free download - The ‘channels” have lots of titles but few big studios - Many of the older titles have poor bitrates Bottom Line: I know a lot of members here have a strong negative reaction to VOD sites, and I share all of the same concerns. Building a video collection using just VOD sites would be incredibly expensive when compared to DVD sites like Videobox, but when used as a supplement to DVD sites, VOD sites like AEBN can work well. If you’re a serious collector, like many members here are, VOD sites are a useful way to see some titles that aren’t available elsewhere. I’ve been using AEBN for several years but hadn’t actually bought anything from them in probably 12 months, until a week ago when I rediscovered them. So why would you choose AEBN over another VOD site? The primary reason would be selection: AEBN has studios and titles that are unavailable on other sites. An example of this is that AEBN continues to offer a wide array of Max Hardcore titles when other sites have dropped him. The fact that they still carry Max indicates how broad their collection is. The site has a good search function using star, title or many other keywords. I also like being able to sort by studio because there are several studios that I really like so it gives me a chance to see some titles that I might have not otherwise known about. The site is pretty simple once you find a title you want to see or buy. Clicking on that DVD brings you to a page with all the streaming and purchase options available. In most cases you can stream a movie for either 48 hours or for life. In most cases the ‘for life’ option costs $10 and the 48 hours costs $5, though there are many titles that you can stream for $2. In most cases there is also an opportunity to ‘buy’ a DRM-free download of the title. The price for that us usually $25. Yes, that is expensive, but it is the cost of the DVD and if it’s a must-have title for you it may be a viable option. I certainly wouldn’t complain if they lowered the price though. Some titles offer a download rental that is DRM protected and expires after the allotted time. Once you select and pay for your access you get access immediately. There are other VOD sites that can take several minutes for your title to be available. Not so here. There are options for streaming quality so you can choose based on your internet connection. Bitrates of 56k, 225k, 512k, 1024k, 2048k, 4000k and 6000k are often available. I generally use 2048k and find that it is smooth and looks good. Streaming can be through Windows Media Player (which I use) and Silverlight. I didn’t try the latter one so I can’t comment on it. The download option gives you the technical specs on the file before you buy so you can make an informed decision. You can see the size of the file and the bitrate so you can gauge the quality. In most cases there are no download options, which seems a bit puzzling to me. One flaw in the streaming is that some titles will only stream at a maximum of 512k. In 2012 that just isn’t good enough. That seems to be mostly with older titles. Fortunately newer titles have better options. The thing about AEBN that appears to be relatively new and may be a game-changer in the VOD world is the ability to buy a membership to a “channel” that gives you unlimited streaming. I subscribed to the channel called “Super Pass” which is the largest selection of all the channels. There is a 1-day trial for $1 that then recurs at $20 for a month of access. That’s the good news. The bad news is that not all titles are available on the channel, and a lot of what is available isn’t mainstream porn. Some of it looks pretty interesting and I’ll be there for at least a month, but you won’t find many of the major studios available. Currently there are just shy of 8000 titles available on the Super Pass channel. The channel is great for people who prefer streaming, but for a guy like me who prefers downloads it can be a bit frustrating. The same streaming options (see above) are usually available on the channel. There are two other channels available: Vivid and West Coast Productions. If you’re a Vivid fan, my recommendation is that you carefully compare the value of the AEBN channel with the value of the Vivid channel at Videobox. I’m not going to weigh in on whether or not I’d recommend this site because it isn’t a traditional membership based site. What I would recommend is that you spent some time browsing there because it may cause you to rethink any notions you have about VOD sites. And the “all you can eat” option really does change the value equation. One last caveat when using any VOD site is to check the other main VOD sites for that same title. You might find another site offering the title in the same quality for less. It pays to shop around. You should also check the DVD sites like Videobox because you may find what you want there. That way I’m not too disappointed when the site barely meets what I expected. But I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how good a site Penthouse is. This is a very well done adult site. Penthouse likely needs no introduction to anyone reading this review. The magazine was my introduction to adult stuff back in 1980. The site is much more than the magazine though because the Penthouse empire has grown to include softcore and hardcore videos. The site gives access to a huge amount of PH material and all of it is very good quality. There is a search function but I didn’t use it much since the site is so well organized. There are links to sort material by porn stars (which gives you access to all the photos and videos with those models) and Pets (which again is an easy way to access photos and videos). If you’re looking for specific themes in videos the video scenes are tagged with the most common themes. Finding them is as easy as using the pull-down menu. PH does a disservice to itself by not allowing prospective members the opportunity to get a good idea of what the site has to offer. I can’t see what harm it can do to any site to allow non-members the ability to see what’s on offer. (It was mentioned here on an earlier comment and it still happens: when you go to join the offer is for a free membership. It’s only when you click through the non-existent free membership that you have to enter payment information. Most porn buyers are sophisticated to know that they have to pay to get access to a site like this so why hide behind a trick that fell out of favour years ago?) Most models have pictures and videos available. PH has certainly become more hardcore in the past decade, but there is a good amount of soft stuff too. Video downloads are available in a wide array of formats and sizes. MP4 HD, WMV HD, MP4, MPEG, Mobile and WMV SD are all offered on most scenes. I downloaded WMV HD and SD. HD came in at 1280x720 8000+ kb/s 24fps. SD is 768x432 3200+ kb/s 24fps. Both use WMV Codec 8. Subjectively, the videos don’t look that great even though the numbers would suggest otherwise. Huge pet peeve of mine with this site (which is becoming more common too) is that when you open a link to a scene the scene starts to stream immediately. If you have your speakers on this can be a problem, but what I dislike about it is that it hogs bandwidth for something that I don’t want. To make matters worse with PH is that the scene continues to download even after you pause it. I open scenes I want in new tabs and wondered why my download speeds were so slow until I realized that most of my bandwidth was being sucked up loading streams for scenes that I was going to download. Webmasters: please stop doing this!!! Apart from offering scenes with various porn stars and Pets, PH also offers about 340 full length DVDs. These are mostly PH-produced with a lot of Jill Kelly Productions thrown in the mix too. The problem with the full length videos is that they are full length. They are broken up into approximately 3-minute clips but those clips don’t necessarily begin and end with the one scene you want to see. With many of the titles added 5+ years ago there are no star names associated with them but many of the titles are listed on IAFD so you can get that information. Photos are available in multiple resolutions, listed as being small, medium, large, extra large and extra extra large (no actual resolution sizes were listed). I downloaded the extra extra large and they came in at 2667x4000. Subjectively they look great. One beef I had with the zipped sets is that many (likely most) that I downloaded were buried six folders deep before you got to the pics. I’m not a big photo collector but I always take the opportunity to get photos of favourite models. It was going through some of these photos that I realized that some of them have been airbrushed. I noticed this when I was looking at a high res photo of Faye Reagan and realized that they airbrushed out her anus. I know she doesn’t do anal, but I’m pretty sure she has an anus. Websites: please don’t doctor the photos! The absolute bottom line? I really liked this site. PH is synonymous with stunning women and great photographers and the site carries on that tradition. PH has branched out into hardcore to follow the money, but there is a lot here for most people to like. There are models of different ages and body types and there’s hardcore, softcore and solo. And given the amount of older PH photos there’s also lots of hair for guys who remember those days. Pros: - A relatively large site in an under-served niche - 56 videos - 80 photo sets - Zips available - Updates weekly Cons: - Sloooow download speeds - Doesn’t support download managers - Not particularly titillating or erotic - Poor camera work - Photos are low resolution Bottom Line: I think most members here would agree with me that for a site to be good it has to have more than just decent porn. The site needs to be easy to navigate and the material needs to be reasonably accessible. That latter part is where My Public Dream fails. In 2012 having download speeds that top out at 300kb/s doesn’t cut it, especially when the site offers some files that are getting close to 1GB in size. The site’s premise is simple: take attractive Eastern European models and get them naked in public. Most of the scenes appear* to add some boy/girl hardcore to the mix. I’m a big fan of this genre and one constant issue with it is that if it isn’t done right then all the heat and titillation can get lost. Unfortunately this site seems to* make this mistake. I think European public nudity sites tend to lose some heat and titillation simply because public nudity isn’t the huge taboo that it is in North America. The problem is that the public nudity can just seem common and normal. The best public nudity scenes (in my opinion) show the model as being nervous and excited at the same time while being nude in public. (As an aside, I noticed that one American NIP site, Nude in L.A. appears to be gone, at least temporarily.) My Public Dreams falls into the trap of making public nudity seem like an everyday occurrence. It might seem hard to do, but a lot of NIP (Nude in Public) sites can take an attractive and nude model and make that unerotic. The site design is also pretty simple and basic. That’s not a bad thing though. There are tabs for updates, videos and photo sets. Once on those respective pages there is a single column of scenes that can be downloaded. For the videos, clicking the download link opens another page with the download or streaming options, while you can open the photo set for single pictures or download a zip right from the main photo page. There is no discernable search function, but it really isn’t needed either. As of this writing there are 56 videos and 80 photo sets available. The site seems to update weekly with one photo set OR one video being added each week. The site is modern in that they do offer multiple ways to see the videos. On the scene page there is the option to stream it there and there are download links below that. The videos are available in WMV format (codec 8) at 1280x720, 720x400 and 480x272. Mpeg files are available at 384x240. There are resolutions available for mobile devices too. I give full marks to this small site for offering HD, but keep in mind that they don’t offer any reasonable access to that material. The download speeds are so slow that it is practically impossible to download the HD material unless you’re very, very patient. I only downloaded the 720x400 size (which still took 15+ minutes to download a 300MB file). The reported size is what you get, but subjectively they don’t look great. I noticed some pixilation. I can’t speak for the other formats or sizes, but the 720x400 plays at 25fps. Adding to the grief of slow download speeds is that the site doesn’t seem to allow download managers. I normally use Free Download Manager to queue up scenes to be downloaded one at a time, but I couldn’t use that. I had to download within my browser, which made the download speeds even slower. One problem with the few scenes that I did download and watch is that the camera work is poor. Like a lot of NIP sites they have to rely on a handheld camera. The camera movement is at best distracting and at worse nausea inducing. The last thing I need is for my brain to start associating naked women with the need to barf. Photos are also available, as singles or as zips. The resolution is low though, at only 800x444. I’m not a huge photo collector, but when I collect photos I want them to be better quality than this. For fans of the NIP niche, it can be hard to find new material so you may be tempted to join this site. There may be some excellent material here, but I didn’t find it. The slow download speeds are this site’s Achilles Heel and until that gets fixed I wouldn’t recommend a membership here. * My apologies to anyone relying on this review to make a decision as to whether or not to buy a membership. Having said that, this is a repeat membership for me since this was one of the first pay sites I joined six or seven years ago. I was impressed then, and I’m still impressed. Most PU members will know this site, so I won’t spend a lot of time describing it. Nubiles is a huge site featuring a bewildering array of young, beautiful models from around the world. There is enough variation in body type and age that anyone could join the site and find hundreds of models to fit his taste. The majority of the models are American (with some porn girls here too), Eastern European and Russian. But many other nationalities are represented too. The site currently says there are 1030 models, close to 600,000 pictures and over 5400 movies. I have no reason to think they’re making that up. Most sites seem to fall into either being a picture site or a video site. If they do one well, the other is just a necessary add-on. Not so here. Regardless if you’re a picture guy or a video guy you’ll see the site as exceeding your expectations. One format isn’t dominant over the other and one doesn’t detract from the other. This is a lesson many other large site could learn. Nubiles has been around since 2004 so you’ll obviously find some variation in picture and video quality. Having said that, it appears that the site has always pushed the limits of technology so even back in 2004 they were better than most. Even the oldest pictures and videos still look good. It also appears that some of the videos have been ‘remastered’ to make them better. If this is true, and I think it is, this underscores the site’s efforts to provide the best quality available. All but the oldest picture sets on the site are available in two sizes. All sets are available as singles or as a zip. The newer photos in high res come in at 1600x2400 and the low res are 800x1200. The older pictures are 800x1200, which would have been amazing quality in 2004. They may have been updated at some point. Photos sets vary from 60+ photos to 100+ photos. Subjectively, the quality is excellent. Videos are available in a wide variety of formats and sizes. There aren’t many other sites that offer this many options. Even the oldest videos on the site can be streamed or can be downloaded in multiple formats. Newer videos are available as streams in three different resolutions. Downloads are available in wmv, mpg, mp4 (low and high res), avi and mobile. Older scenes also offer the video in segments. My preference is WMV so that’s what I downloaded. They use codec 9 and the videos are 1280x720 @3600kb/s and 30fps. Subjectively, they look great. The search function on the site is incredibly complex in its operation but simple to use. It allows a member to sort models by personal attributes. The usual traits are listed, such as breast size, hair colour, race and age, but there are some obscure attributes that can be sorted too, like braces, skin tone (tanned or not) and even by nipple type. You can search by type of outfit, You want to see a model smoking? You can sort by that too. The setting is searchable too. I know I said that Met Art has the best search function I’ve ever seen, but Nubiles is better still. One thing I’ve never seen before and I wish would catch on is the ability for members to post links to other pay sites where the model has material. This is great for models who change their names a lot. To me, this function demonstrates the professionalism and customer-interest that Nubiles has. The only negative I can think of is purely subjective: the site is just a bit too tame for my liking. There are lesbian and hardcore scenes here, but they aren’t the main focus. Hardcore isn’t just an add-on, because those scenes are very well done, but the main focus is solo girl and solo masturbation. If you’re a hardcore fan there is enough here to warrant a membership but you won’t find anything that pushes the limits. I only found one anal scene, for example. The bottom line is that if you’re an active porn buyer you owe it to yourself to check this site out. It doesn’t try to be everything to everyone (the lack of ‘hard’ hardcore, for example), but what it does it does almost perfectly. The models are amazing, the photos and videos are well done and the site is laid out to help you find what interests you. I highly recommend Nubiles. It is definitely on my list of sites for repeat memberships. (One last thing: I only noticed this on one scene, but I wonder if other older scenes have the same issue. There’s a scene with “Kate,” aka Kathleen Kruz where she gives a blowjob and the scene has been edited to jump right into the event. The original scene had a brief but playful setup that made the scene so much better. I hope this hasn’t happened in many other scenes. Simple: they emailed me an offer I couldn’t refuse, so I joined. I usually take a short while to get used to site navigation and start figuring out how I’ll go at browsing the site and finding stuff I want. I started that here and quickly realized that this really wasn’t like any other site I’ve ever been a member at. This site is HUGE. I normally try to provide accurate details on what a prospective member can expect from a site. So if a site has 500 videos, I’ll tell you that. With this site, the best I can say is that it is enormous. There are many hundreds of models, maybe a thousand even, each with multiple photo shoots and many with video clips. Just choosing a model to look at can be a daunting task. While on the topic of models, I can’t complain because the type of model on the site is what I look for: young and natural. With a site this size there is lots of variation on body type. I can download the small-breasted lasses while you download the larger-breasted models and neither of us will feel cheated. Same with hair colour. I love redheads and there a dozens of them here. Blondes and brunettes abound. Different ethnicities are represented and there are a few models who are 35 years old. One thing the models do lack are fake breasts and lots of ink. A vast majority of the models are all natural. Many sport pubic hair even. Remember that? I should note, because of the above, that the advanced search function is like nothing I’ve ever encountered before. It allows searching for narrow parameters and the site is so large you’re apt to get some returns. Want some pics of a 30 year old Asian with full pubic hair? If it exists on the site it is easy to find. The site would be unmanageable without this excellent tool. This is primarily a photo site. Anyone thinking of joining this site needs to know that. The site has been around for many years, and I didn’t sample all of the older material. But I can say this with some confidence: they push the limits of technology now so I have no reason to think that they didn’t then. Photos are available as singles, or in a zipped file. High, medium and low resolutions are available. I didn’t sample the lower two resolutions but the high-res photos are stunning quality at 3744x5616. They’re amazing. Obviously older photos won’t be in that resolution. There are some videos available and those are mostly videos of the photoshoots. Some of the older videos are horrible quality, but I won’t hold that against them as it isn’t a video site and those were uploaded years ago. Videos are available in streaming (multiple sizes) and downloads (multiple formats). The default is mp4 though wmv is always available too. The standard resolution for videos (all but the oldest stuff) is 1280x720 @ 4,300kb/s. The wmv files are in codec 9 and play at 30 fps. Higher resolutions are not uncommon. Subjectively, these videos look stunning. Videos tend to be fairly short, with some less than five minutes long. With the technical stuff, the site is as good as with the artistic stuff. There are multiple updates each day, download speeds are good, download managers are permitted and there are no obvious timeouts on download links. I realize the 800lb gorilla in the room with Met Art is that many people see it as being too sterile. It’s as if they stripped the sensuality from their models. I can understand that criticism, but I don’t share it to the same level as some other reviewers. While the site lacks the playfulness that is often found on ALS Scan and FTV Girls, they can be erotic. Where some other solo model sites can be overtly sexual, Met Art is more sensual. There is no hardcore sex on the site at all. I can understand how many would find this simply too soft. I suspect that this is highly subjective though. The site updates by adding one new video a week. For those who prefer files other than wmv format, you’re out of luck. That’s all they offer for downloads. Streaming is also available. The files changed as of May 2, 2009. Prior to that there is only one resolution offered, 640x480 @1200 kb/s. After that date two resolutions are offered for downloads, 1260x720 @ 3200kb/s and 1000x564 @1600kb/s. Streaming is unchanged. All files use wmv codec 9 and play at 30fps. Subjectively, both versions look good. One word of caution for the post-May 2009 videos – selecting the link opens to a new page (as happens with the pre-May videos too) and when the page loads the video starts streaming. This is a pet peeve of mine as it hogs bandwidth and can be an unpleasant surprise for anyone who forgets to turn their speakers off. Webmasters: please don’t do this! All scenes run from approximately 35 mins to just under an hour. A potential problem with single-themed sites like this is that the scenes can be repetitive. That criticism can be directed at FH18 because the only thing that changes in the scenes is the girl. The setup is pretty much identical in every scene: the camera opens on a long view of a massage table, the girl walks in, usually by the camera so we can see her ass, she sits on the table and waits for the masseur to come in. He comes in, they introduce themselves. The setup is that she has been selected for a free massage because they are filming a training video. The girl gets naked, gets on the table and the massage begins. One thing I really like is that the masseur (who is the same in all the scenes) uses lots of oil. One aspect of the scenes that I wish was different is what happens before the sex starts. I think Massage Creep does the setup better. MC has the masseur introduce himself to the girl and then he leaves the room while the girl gets undressed and slips under a sheet on the table. The camera acts as sort of a Peeping Tom while this is going on and the masseur peeks in too. Then the massage starts and it is played straight for a while before it becomes sexualized. With FH18 the masseur is in the room as the girl undresses and gets on the table. The massage quickly becomes sexualized with the masseur deliberately going for the naughty bits very quickly. There is almost no variety in the scenes. There is only one anal scene, one lesbian scene, and one or two scenes with two girls. Model types are almost exclusively young, petite and natural. There are a few ‘enhanced’ girls, but not that many, and only a few sport a lot of ink. Two things take this site from ordinary to extraordinary: 1) The models are stunning. The models are mostly ‘porn stars’ in that most of them have a listing on IAFD, but they aren’t ‘big’ stars in that they usually only have a handful of titles to their credit. Some A-listers do appear. While I like most of the A-listers, it is refreshing to see some models that I don’t know. (One beef is that while the site uses the model name in the scene name, they only use her first name. The guy in the scene does an excellent job of never getting in the way or trying to upstage the girl. The cameraman and male talent clearly understand that the scene is about the girl, not the guy. I’m well aware that interest in this niche isn’t shared by everyone or even the majority of PU members. Currently the site has just under 200 scenes. I estimate that between 60 and 70 percent of the scenes are exclusive and produced by the site with the remaining scenes being licenced material from mainstream porn that features scenes that fit the site’s theme. The site is very simple in that there are nine pages of scenes with there being just a single column of scenes per page. The scenes have a large thumbnail and a brief description (which adds a lot of value). The file is downloaded right from the thumbnail, which makes things simple, but the downside is that there are no options for file downloads. The only option is wmv. The default resolution is 640x480 at 2000kb/s though there are several older files at lower resolutions. I’m not technically-minded so normally I’d scoff at the low resolution, but subjectively they look pretty good. The video is clear and there is no obvious pixilation. There is, obviously, no HD available. The exclusive scenes usually feature an unknown (to me anyway) model or models. While other PU members have criticized this as being too sparse, for a small site that appears to make some pretty good niche porn this seems very reasonable to me. I use Free Download Manager to queue up the scenes I want and had no trouble with this. The site supports this, and I didn’t experience any timeouts while downloading. There were a couple of things that caused me some concern when joining. Trashman and bently both scored the site low and Trashman said that there were hidden download limits. I don’t think the low scores are warranted, but there is obviously a degree of subjectivity in both the previous scores and in my score. As for download limits, bently told me in a reply that they were gone and I can confirm they are. The second concern was they use two unknown billers. If I have problems cancelling later I’ll add that as a comment to warn others. (I joined through “paystar” or “paywide.”) One billing quirk is that there is a link for U.S. customers to join and one for everyone else. The usual porn themes are here, like big breasts, MILFs, and 18-year-old ladies, but there are also some fairly unique sites too. There are three sites that cater to scenes with multiple models in party settings (VIP Crew, In the VIP and Bikini Crashers). These are among my favourites but I can understand why others may not be interested in them. The sites vary in size, with the more mainstream sites having lots of material (some have over 500 scenes) and some of the niche sites have only a handful of scenes. Each site opens into a separate page that list the scenes with a large thumbnail for each. On the left of that page is a column of filters for sub-themes. The scenes usually have a unique name and the main star is also listed. Opening the page for each scene brings more details and tags. You can access screencaps and pictures (which I didn’t download so I can’t comment on them) and you can access the video in any of several ways. Streaming is available, as are downloads. Downloads are offered in a few different ways, usually as a WMV and MP4. MP4 is available in larger sizes and smaller sizes for handheld devices. For some reason, even the newer scenes are frequently broken down into shorter clips for easier download, though the full scene is also available. HD video is available on some scenes, though I didn’t download any because of the daily limit. RK has been around for a long time so the quality of their videos has obviously changed. Older videos are low quality, but I can’t fault the site for that because that was the standard back when they were shot. Most of the older scenes are only available in three or four clips, which also made sense back when they were uploaded. It would be nice if the site took the time to stitch them together into one full file now that most people have high-speed internet connections. The newer scenes (in WMV) still aren’t great quality: 640x480 @ 1600kb/s and 768x432 @ 1600 are common. Subjectively they aren’t bad, but they aren’t great either. Objectively, the site is decent, but not any better than many other networks. RK isn’t any better (or any worse) than places like Mofos and Porn Pros. In terms of quality they certainly can’t be compared to sites like ALS Scan and Diesel Access. Subjectively the network isn’t all that impressive. I’ll admit that a lot of that is personal taste because I’m not into large breasts and huge asses. Those attributes are better represented than most others. There are sites that cater to my tastes in smaller models between 18 and 22, and I will admit I like the number of relatively unknown models who appear here. One serious and unforgivable sin, and I realize that this is entirely subjective, is that one scene was mis-labeled. No big deal normally, but I joined the network specifically to see one scene: a Tanner Mayes scene that was categorized as anal. I will admit that the guy does insert the head of his dick a couple of times, but that doesn’t count as anal sex. Easily the biggest annoyance with RK is their daily download limit. While the limit itself would be annoying enough, they actually make it worse but applying it randomly. The limit is described in the membership contract using vague language so I emailed the support staff to ask for some clarification but never received a reply. Why bother having a ‘contact us’ button if you’re not actually going to respond to member’s questions? On several days I was cut off from downloading at less than the 10GB 24-hour limit. On other days I downloaded well in excess of the limit. There are PU members who report never having had a limit imposed on them. A site can certainly impose whatever conditions they want, but those conditions should be clear and applied equally to all members. And in 2011 10GB limit is absurdly low. Another annoying choice that RK made is to not support download managers. I use Free Download Manager to queue up scenes that I want to download so I don’t have to sit at the computer for an hour or more, but FDM wouldn’t work with this site. I can’t say how it works with other managers, but if they bar one I’d guess they bar them all. I’d recommend this site for someone who really wants a particular scene or is really into a specific niche that is represented here. But… anyone who does join should be aware that they MAY have a download limit imposed on them and that download managers don’t work. I hope so. I still think that VB is an amazing site and I still recommend it to friends who are looking to build a porn collection in one easy step. VB is like the adult superstore that lives in your computer. VB is now creeping up on 12,000 DVDs and they continue to add five per day. I’ve said this before and I still believe it: VB is already huge so they should concentrate on quality and let the quantity slide a bit. If VB is like a porn superstore that lives in your computer, then the bargain bins are starting to take over the floor space. Past complaints have been that VB has too heavy a reliance on low-grade European porn, but they seem to be balancing that with more U.S. titles now. The bad news, in a “Monkey’s Paw” sort of way, is that the U.S. titles are frequently slapped-together compilations. You know the kind where a studio will pay some kid editor to compile some unrelated but thematically similar scenes? My suspicion is that VB3 is driven by marketing. It appears that not all the bugs are worked out yet either since the site pushes a “new and improved” VB3. The format is known to most of us: DVDs broken down into scenes that can be streamed, edited into a custom clip, or downloaded in any of several ways. There is usually a clip labeled as “WMV DVD,” one as “WMV high” and two smaller versions for devices and iPhones. Since my connection speed is higher than the last time I was here I downloaded the DVD quality scenes only. They come in at 720x480 and 3800kb/s. HD is available on some titles but not many and it isn’t predictable. The WMV files are in codec 8 so that means that anyone using a set-top USB box (like a Western Digital) won’t be able to play these. Download speeds are up to normal standards. One thing I really appreciate is that when queuing up scenes using a download manager the links don’t seem to have any time-outs. My DL manager was churning away the next morning after loading it with links one night. Not every site will allow that. An addition that VB made a few years ago seems to be working out well – that’s the addition of several “channels.” I always add Evil Angel because I like their work. EA now has 526 DVDs on the site and add a new one every two days. Surprisingly there is little overlap between the EA channel and the two EA sites. Vivid is a bit soft for me but I did try this channel once. It now has 528 DVDs and also updates every two days. I’ve never joined the Reality Kings or Kink sites, though I may this time. One advantage with RK may be that if this is off the VB server then there would be no download limits. If I join and can say for certain I’ll let you know. I’ve been a big fan and frequent member of Kink sites and I’m planning to sign on to this channel soon. It will be a good opportunity to try some material from their sites that I’ve not joined before. One advantage to the channels that isn’t immediately clear is that the pricing is pro-rated. If you join VB at the first of the month and then add a channel two weeks later you’ll only pay for the two weeks left in that month. If you cancel your membership after a month it can be good value. If you keep the membership and all the channels you’ll obviously pay full price the following month. If you need a concise way to think about VB, think of it as an all-you-can-eat porn buffet. If you’re interested in any EA material you may want to check those reviews since most of what I wrote there applies here too. This site, however, is different from the others that I reviewed, even though they are all part of the EA company. This site isn’t a network like the other one (which is a collection of themed sites). Obviously Evil Angel material isn’t for everyone; they are among the hardest of the hardcore mainstream. If, like me, you’re an anal enthusiast then both Evil Angel sites are worth checking out. Many harder hardcore studios rely on European talent to do the heavy lifting, but here there is a great mix of American and European models. In some cases they appear in the same scene, which is rare in porn. The site has grown a lot since I was here last and they now have over 900 DVDs available. The site updates regularly, and while I can’t say for sure they seem to update daily. One negative is that some (maybe all) of the new scenes they post are first only available in streaming before they’re made available as a download. I don’t know how long the delay is before they become available as a download. If you join the site to download a recently added scene be aware that you might discover that you can only stream it. While there is no search function you can sort the videos by scene and by DVD. Once you’re at the scene level there are tags that are useful too. As with the other EA site there are two video options (wmv and mp4) and at least two resolutions available for each. Unfortunately they don’t post any HD material in wmv format so your only option is mp4 if you want HD. HD is widely available and is at 720p. I download wmvs and at the highest resolution they come in at 720x400 at 2100kb/s. Subjectively, they look great even running them through a 50” TV. Many Evil Angel scenes are quite long, sometimes nearly an hour, which is a good thing. The downside to that is that file sizes can be large if your ISP imposed a cap or if you have a slower connection. Pictures are available but those appear to be mostly screencaps or photos taken during the scene itself. Zips aren’t available. This is primarily a video site and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who is mostly interested in photos. That’s not a negative since Evil Angel is a video studio not a photo studio. What you get for your membership is access to one of the better studio sites on the internet. I’m not normally a fan of studio sites since studios don’t seem to put much effort into their sites, possibly to focus on the people who still buy DVDs. My biggest complaint about the site as a studio site is that they don’t offer a big selection of their older material. Evil Angel has been around for a long time and as a fan of older porn I’d really like to see more of the older stuff. This could be a positive or a negative, depending on your perspective, but there isn’t a lot of overlap between the material on this site and the on the other EA site. The good news is that you won’t feel like you’ve wasted your money when you buy access to two different sites, but the bad news is that to get better access to the EA catalogue you do need to buy access to two sites. But… both EA sites offer a TBP/PU discount and have an excellent $2.95 3-day trial. If you’re a fan of EA material and haven’t had a membership here before I’d strongly recommend that you avoid the trial because there is no way you could download everything you want here in three days. Another reason to consider the full membership is that EA has the shortest timeouts I’ve ever encountered on a website. While they support download managers actually using one is virtually impossible since the links you line up for downloading expire in about 15 minutes. If you like hard hardcore and especially if you like anal sex, then you really should consider a membership here. If you’re interested in joining this site and are looking for more information on the whole collection of sites you might find my review of Mike Adriano useful. I rejoined this site because I saw the review at TBP and because of the excellent value available for the $2.95 for a three day full access membership. I really can’t stress enough how great a value that is for some very unique hardcore material. The caveat to the above statement is that you obviously have to have an interest in the material on offer here. If you don’t, the low price will mean nothing. And I know a lot of PU members won’t be interested in this site because I once got a fairly negative reaction when I mentioned having an interest in girl/girl milk enemas on a thread about fetishes. I can understand, however, that in a world where liking a woman’s feet is a ‘fetish’ that seeing women spray milk out of their asses onto the faces and bodies of other women is seen as a bit weird. While the b/g/g scenes feature anal sex, the others use a lot of toys and interesting objects. I’m no doctor, but I can’t imagine sticking a billiard ball up your friend’s bum is a good idea. My overall impression is that it is a good site, but it over-promises and under-delivers. Not by much, and not enough for me to tell you to avoid it, but it does have some weaknesses. Other sites show the same optimism when giving stats on the number of scenes. It isn’t that big a deal though because there is still a lot of material here. One issue I have is that like the number of scenes in each site, the resolutions reported for some wmv files are a bit optimistic. I checked this with several files to make sure I just didn’t stumble on a lone file in a vast collection and found it repeatedly: the site says you’re downloading a 720x540 video but what you’re getting is 640x360 at 2100kb/s. That isn’t a huge difference, but it is enough to be noticeable and it is misrepresenting the file. I don’t download mp4 or MPEG4s usually and I didn’t much of those here either but with the MPEGs that I did download they seemed to more accurately labeled for file size. One beef I had was that a lot of the older videos with stars I like to collect were not available in wmv format. The vast majority of material is offered in wmv – it’s mostly the stuff that was made a decade or more ago. Pictures are also available, but they aren’t available as zips so I didn’t download any. They appeared to be mostly screencaps. A lot of the content here is not exclusive. I found many scenes that I have from various well-known porn DVDs. If you have a huge collection of porn, particularly DVD porn, you’ll likely find some overlap. But… there is still a lot of material here but I don’t think much of it is actually exclusive. When HD is available it is usually offered only in mp4 though I did see and download some in WMV. I never saw a scene where HD was offered in both formats. HD isn’t available with every scene, and oddly it doesn’t even seem to be offered with each new upload. I prefer WMV format, so I can’t comment on the quality of the mp4 files. The highest resolution available for WMV videos is 1280x720 at 4000kb/s, which is HD, but remember that WMV HD is rare here. More common are 720x526 at 2200, 640x360 at 2200 and 512x384 at 1550 with the latter resolution appearing to be the most common. These are lower resolutions than I’ve seen at comparable sites. Photos are available in multiple resolutions with the highest being 2400x1600. Photo sets are available as a zip and the sets can have as few as 30 or over a hundred photos in them. Subjectively, this is a pretty good site, and it is one of the better studio sites that I’ve seen. It seems that many studios treat the internet as an afterthought, but Viv Thomas does seem to understand the importance of the internet. My biggest complaint about the site is the navigation. This might be different if you’re a fan of Euro porn and know the models, but for someone who is relatively new to Euro porn the site can be difficult to use. Using the navigation tools to go to boy-girl videos, for example, you’re offered several pages of thumbnails, which will lead you to a particular scene. The resolutions would be considered acceptable by standards a few years ago but by today’s standards they’re barely average. The best resolution I could find on the site was 968x1400. Most are 968x1300. Maybe I’m asking for too much by wanting a higher resolution. It is also possible that the photos were taken some years ago and were high res then. Videos are available though the problem with most of them is the camera. Apparently Mary Alicia does (did?) a regular webcast and most of the videos are simply captures of those webcasts. One choice that Mary Alicia has made will likely limit her audience. This is definitely a softcore site. While there are other women on the site, there is only posing. Joining this site gave me access to a total of 20 different sites, and since this site is small, consider this more a review of the entire network – remembering, of course, that Fame Digital seems to offer at least two networks. The same TBP discount is offered here, but I was emailed an offer I couldn’t refuse ($5 for a month) so I joined because I really like some of the sites (and directors) offered here. The membership to this part of the network is smaller in number of sites and the sizes of those site, but it is still a good value at the TBP discount. The site follows the exact same format as the other Fame Digital network. There are options to sort by DVD or scene, theme, series name, and you can search by star. I found this network to be less organized that the larger Fame Digital one in that even sorting by DVD there were some loose scenes thrown in that weren’t associated with any title, though they clearly belonged to a DVD. My preference (for better or worse) is for wmv format. There is a limit here in that HD isn’t offered in wmv, but only in mp4. But HD isn’t offered on everything and not even on all the new updates. For each option, there are multiple resolutions available depending on what file size you want. I downloaded the highest resolution wmv files and while they aren’t HD, they aren’t too bad. Resolutions vary slightly but most are offered in 720x480 at 2000+ kbps. Like the other Fame Digital network, pics are available but they’re only screcaps and they aren’t zipped. The network is updating, but as near as I can tell it updates only one scene for the entire network per day. That might not be great, but for the amount of material here it is a good value. As with the last time I had a Fame Digital membership, Free Download Manager had problems. What that also means, then, is that two-thirds of the scenes are only available in resolutions lower than the ‘high res’ files now being offered. Many of the oldest scenes are available at 320x240 with 360kbps. By today’s standards, these are virtually unwatchable. I doubt that they were state-of-the-art when they were posted in 2003. A lesser complaint is the very basic layout of the site. The main member page is one long page with all the scenes listed. You get basic information on the scene and one small thumbnail. You get the star name, number of pics in the set, length of the video and the date the scene was added. What you don’t get is the volume number from the series for those looking to catalogue the scenes that way. With each scene description there is a link that takes you to a separate page. From there you can see and download the pictures (no zips are available) and stream or download the video. More recent videos have only the option of downloading the full video, while older postings have that and the option to break it down into segments. There is no search function, but since the site itself is relatively small and the niche is narrow there really is no need for one. The pictures aren’t stellar in quality with a resolution of 750x500. That holds for the oldest and newest pics on the site. The number of pics per scene varies but ranges between 20 and 70 with the average in the 50s. A membership here gives you free access to four other JMP sites, but that isn’t obvious right away. From Gag Factor you get access to two sites, and it’s only when you go to one of those that you see access to two further sites. One problem with these sites is that there is some overlap with the main JMP site, Jerkoff Zone. The same scene may be posted twice but in vastly different qualities. But since the scenes aren’t easily associated with the DVD title and volume it is difficult to know this before you download anything. What that means is that you’ll likely download duplicates of several scenes and delete the lowest resolution. I can’t fault the site for the quantity because it appears they’ve made a lot of their Gag Factor scenes available here. But as a stand-alone site 300 scenes isn’t a lot, and not worth $30. The bigger problem, as I noted in my review of Jerkoff Zone, is that the site just doesn’t live up to the standard that I expected from JMP. JMP stuff may not be for everyone, but what they do, they do it well. And the website doesn’t do it any justice. This site, even with the add-ons isn’t a good value for the full price. For those who don’t know JMP, they are known for their extreme hardcore material. Think Max Hardcore toned down just a bit. They’re known for such series as American Bukkake, American Gokkun, Young & Anal, Tough Love and Gag Factor. I’m a big fan of most of their work and the site’s intro page listed all the series that I liked, so I presumed I’d have some decent access to that material. It turns out that the site over promises and under delivers. They can’t be accused of false advertising because there are scenes from all the series they mention on the site, but most are not well represented. Take the “Young and Anal” series which has about 40 editions now (assuming four scenes per edition makes that roughly 160 scenes) and the site offers just two scenes from this series. That’s the worst it gets, but it doesn’t really get much better with the other series. Take American Bukkake – this is a groundbreaking series and really has no competition in the American market. There are 40 editions, with usually two scenes per movie. The site offers four scenes. American Gokkun? Of the 10 editions (20 scenes) produced, two are on the site. You get the picture. I might not have as much to complain about if the video quality was good, but it isn’t. Back in late 2008 the site started offering “high quality” video for both download and streaming, though the streaming is lower quality than the video. Even in 2008, though, the quality was barely up to industry standards. In 2011 it is woefully inadequate. The best resolution on the site is 720x480 @ 2000kbps. Those are rare though. More common is 720x480 @ 1500 and 640x480 @1500. Videos posted before January 2008 (maybe 40%) are virtually unwatchable at 320x240@ 460 and even as low as 235kbps. There are no options for downloads either – just the one WMV file. One good thing is that Free Download Manager worked flawlessly. The site layout is very basic. The main page is broken down in to several sections: videos, BTS scenes, “Travels with Ashley Blue and trailers. The video page opens to a page with all the videos. They are sorted by upload date and not by DVD title. There is no option to sort them in any other way. There are approximately 180 videos posted, with 40% of those being poor resolution. The “Travels with Ashley Blue” is just four links to a handful of photos of Ms. Blue touring porn shops. The BTS section has about 70 BTS scenes from various titles. Then there are trailers for other JMP DVDs. So for the $20 fee all you really get is maybe 100 watchable porn scenes. The site relies too much on filler like BTS and trailers and markets them as if they have real value to a consumer. They can be interesting, but they aren’t what people join for. The site claims to update “every couple of days” and that might be true, but the update is more likely to be a BTS or trailer than an actual scene. When I joined I was offered a $13.95 discounted price to another JMP site, Gag Factor. I took that option and as it is sold as a stand-alone site I’ll post a review of that later. I have no way of knowing if the discount is a standard offer. I’ll give full credit to the site for not making this a pre-checked cross-sell. The biggest disappointment about this site for me is that is mostly a wasted effort. JMP makes excellent porn. The production values are good, they use top female talent and they have some of the more innovative niche series out there. They are also a prolific studio and must have hundreds of titles to their credit. But they continue in the tradition of studios not putting much effort into their websites. The site offers only a fraction of the material that the studio has, it offers it in poor quality and on a site that looks like it took them an hour to put together. It seems to me that a poor effort like this would reflect badly on the whole studio. I have no idea why JMP would have such a poor internet site. They do offer a lot more on VOD sites, so maybe they push that to make more money. If that’s the case, then the website is just a large advertising site that people pay money for. If that’s the case, I guess I’ve been had. At least they bill through CCBill so I know I can cancel easily. They also heavily push DVDs, which seems odd to me. Are they living in a time warp? If they offered much more of their catalogue at good resolutions this could be a good value at even twice the price. As it stands though, this isn’t a good value at the current price. Should you join this site? If you’re a huge JMP fan then give it a try, knowing that it isn’t a very good site. I love them because mainstream DVD porn is my preference and I give full marks to a studio that makes a large part of their catalogue available for download. Third Movies live up to the standards of most studio sites, with the love-hate thing still going on. In fairness to them, though, they are a much better site than some other studios on the ‘net. While a membership to Third Movies gets you access to two other sites (Zero Tolerance on Demand and Black Ice Pass) it really can’t be thought of as a network because of the way the sites are bundled. On the member page you can sort by scene or DVD but the default is that you see titles from all three sites mixed together. You have the option to sort them by site. I’ve not seen another site that does it this way and I really like it. Rather than comb through three different sites there is just one mega site. This is really convenient. Since I didn’t sort by site, this review applies equally to all three sites. The site offers access to almost 1000 DVDs (324 Third Movies, 389 ZTOD and 243 Black Ice). The site offers multiple ways to sort the material, from DVD title, scene and general theme. The sorting options are appreciated because the search function doesn’t work well. I found that it tended to be pretty generous in interpreting what you were looking for so you got more hits than needed. The list of stars is just a giant list. If you’re looking for a star who’s name begins with W, be prepared to click ahead in 3-page increments until you get there. The site has been around since 2004 so there are obviously some changes, most notably the addition of HD material. HD material is being offered on the newly added scenes and HD is now available of just over 40% of the scenes on the site. Older videos are offered in “AVI Xvid” and up to three resolutions of WMV. I tried the Xvid files but couldn’t play them as the codec wasn’t available. Make sure to test this if you plan to download this file type. Given the size of the site, I downloaded the highest wmv available. For most files this ranged from 640x360 @ 2176kbps to 720x540 @ 3155kbps. Newer videos (starting in late 2006) often offer HD in three resolutions (360p, 720p and 1080p). All HD files are only available in mp4 format. I can’t comment on the HD quality because I prefer wmv format. Newer scenes are also available for iPod and iPhone. Two major problems with the site are that for older videos (roughly 2004 to 2006) there are a huge number of broken links. I’m guessing that up to 20% of the links are broken. The page that pops up to tell you this has a link to report the problem, but that link is broken too. (As is the link to get the AVI codec). This problem has been noted in past reviews, so I’m guessing that the site knows of the problem. The other issue is that as the site pushes HD material, it actually appears that they are decreasing the quality of the non-HD material. The first DVD posted on the site in 2004 has better resolution and bitrate than the newest ones. Also (and I don’t know what impact this has) the oldest are encoded in wmv 9 while the newest are in codec 8. Subjectively, the quality of the non-HD videos is barely average. Pictures are available, though this really isn’t a photo site. They are available in zips. The resolution is fairly low at 600x900. Minor problems with the site are that even though the option exists, the site won’t remember your username and password. You have to enter it (twice) each time you go to the site. This may be not issue to anyone else, but I’d select scenes for download by adding it to my favorites on the site. The problem is that it gets added under the star’s name and no DVD title is given unless you actually click on the link. I’d prefer the DVD title and star name for ID. The site continues to update, though they only add a scene or two per day. To make that worse, they’ll have up to four DVD titles updating so you may wait a long time to get a particular scene in a DVD. At least they do tell you when the scene you want will be added. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this site, subject to the caveats I noted here. A membership here gives you access to a wide variety of scenes. Unless you’re into fetish material there will be lots to keep you happy here. There is a good mix of U.S. and European models too. Black-themed videos are probably better represented here than at many competing sites. These studios also have titles on sites like Videobox, but I didn’t find the level of overlap to be too bad. First, vaark’s review style and the things he looks for are almost exactly the same as how I look at and review sites so I had to work to differentiate my review to make it useful. Second, I’m taking a position that is pretty much opposite to what mbaya took in his review. To be fair to mbaya though, most of the things he lists as ‘cons’ are no longer an issue. If you like public nudity you’ll know that Teasers VOD is in a small class of sites, namely U.S. public nudity. Most good public nudity sites use European models and settings likely because that culture is less puritanical than we live in here in North America. This site is certainly among the best. Other sites have less daring public scenes, and one of the bigger sites (Nude in LA) has managed to remove all titillation from the genre. Teasers manages to make the scene daring and risky and makes the effort to show the girls are nervous about it. Subjectively, this nervousness is a big draw for me. Being a U.S. site many of the models are porn stars. Some of them are A-list models which is an added bonus. There are many lesser stars here too, and lots of girls who are on the porn periphery. The models are mostly Caucasian, all under 25 and with the typical pornstar body. There are some variations, but not much. Almost all of the shoots are solo-girl. There are only two with two models. These shoots are far more interesting because of the interaction between the models so I wish that the site would do more of these. Having said that though, the video and photo guys interact with the models during the photo shoot which helps create an atmosphere in the scenes. As of this date there are a bit over 150 scenes posted. Each scene follows a formula, but the formula does work. We see the model preparing for the scene, there’s some video in a café where there is some flashing, there is a bikini shoot in public and then there is some public flashing or even full nudity. Many models then go to a secluded but still public area for a masturbation scene. I’d normally fault a site for not offering a full-scene download, but in this case it makes sense to have the individual chapters available. They should consider a full-scene option though. Mbaya noted that there was too much masturbation. While there is masturbation, I didn’t find that it was the main focus. I’m not a fan of solo masturbation so I’d notice if it was over the top, and subjectively I don’t find that it gets in the way. They’re good, but not great. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the photos at ALS Scan… Both previous reviews noted that there were broken downloads. I didn’t experience that at all. Free Download Manager worked flawlessly with this site too. Download speeds were fast at 1800MB/sec (which I think is limited by my FDM settings) TBP and vaark note that there is a discount that kicks in on your second and subsequent months. I can’t confirm that because I’m not planning to stay for more than a month and my membership confirmation specifically says that it will rebill at the full price and not at the 50% discount. Updates seem to be more frequent than the last time the site was reviewed. The site now updates three times per week. I did download some stuff other than the public nudity and when I finally got around to watching it I was amazed at how stunning the models were, how hot the scenes were, and how the site seemed to go out of its way to offer industry-leading resolutions on both video and pictures. Objectively, the site is as good as it gets. It’s near perfect. It’s obvious that the site owner wants to deliver an excellent product to his customers. The site offers both video and pictures, and unlike many other sites one doesn’t take a back seat to the other. Both are very well done. The site currently has over 1000 videos on the site, with more being added. One point about the updates is that they are new, as in recently shot, and they are old, in that the site offers older, re-mastered material. The videos are all available in multiple formats. The formats and sizes vary depending on when the video was shot and uploaded, but it’s fair to say that if you’re downloading a video from 2007 it would have exceeded the specs of almost anything available elsewhere. For the past year or so all videos have been available in true HD. They’re available in DivX and mp4 format (1280x720) and in WMV9 at 1920x1080 (at 8000kbps). I only downloaded the WMV files, and they are amazingly crisp. This is some of the best video I’ve ever seen. HD streaming is also available. HD became pretty common in mid-2007 though not universal until later. The videos come in several categories: solo photo shoot, solo masturbation and girl/girl. There are several public nudity shoots, but they haven’t added to these in a couple of years. Each year for the past several the crew has taken models to an on-location shoot in the Caribbean. The locations and the models combine with the technical expertise of the crew to create some fun, hot videos. There are also casting shoots in Budapest and the Czech Republic. These aren’t necessarily ‘hot’ but they are a lot of fun to watch. Mixed in to some of the scenes are some fisting (girl-on-girl and solo) and some peeing (but no golden showers). I’m not a picture guy, but I’ll make an exception for this site. The pics are available as SD or HD and as singles or zipped. The HD size is large (I saw some at 2592x3888) and subjectively they are incredible! Zooming in causes no pixilation at all. I used Free Download Manager and it worked perfectly. Download speeds were 1850+/- but that may be where my settings are since I don’t know how to change them. File sizes can be huge, so people with download caps need to be wary. One thing I thought was a nice touch was that they created a separate portal for people who download to mobile devices. That makes finding the material easy. Subjectively, this site is second to none. The models are stunning. There is a good mix of North American and European models. A-list porn stars are here too. The scenes all look incredible. The lighting, camera work, sound and editing are all near-perfect. This isn’t cookie-cutter porn – although there are a few broad categories of scenes, the director and models do an excellent job of making each scene feel fresh. It looks like they’re having fun on the site. My guess is that they are. Is there anything wrong with the site? Not really, but it could benefit from a search function. There is nothing now, and arguably that’s okay since the shoots can be sorted by model. By they should consider adding a search function for things like fisting, peeing and lesbian. But don’t get me wrong – the addition of a search function would only be like an extra layer of icing on a delicious cake. (And since they design and sell their own bikinis, maybe a search by style would be great too.) Some caveats for anyone thinking of joining – these aren’t negatives, just things you need to be aware of: 1) there are no b/g scenes, 2) 99% of the models are petite, Caucasian and young. To add more icing to the cake, when you join this site you can get a $9.95 subscription to ALS Angels. It’s a very similar site and I’m not really sure of the difference but it is a nice addition. If I find major differences I’ll post a comment or review if warranted. The bottom line is that if you like this kind of material and these types of models, you likely won’t find a better site on the ‘net. One advantage, or disadvantage, depending on your interests, is that this studio has a much broader range of niches than many other mainstream studios. There are the titles featuring fresh, young models, but for those with different tastes there are a lot of ‘unique’ titles too. If you like pubic hair, you’ll find it. There are even titles that feature girls using strap-ons on guys and guys felching their own creampies from girls. One thing I don’t like is that some of the titles are compilations. I don’t think a studio should offer compilations on a site that has the original scenes available. While some of the titles available appear to be newer, it doesn’t appear that the studio is putting up their newest releases. The lack of current A-list stars leads me to think that. I may be wrong on that though, since many of the titles feature European models who I don’t know well, so those may be newer. The good news, if you’re like me, is that there are a lot of older titles available from the past decade or so. The site has a very basic navigation. You can sort by theme, by series name and by title name. You can choose to view DVDs or by single scenes. Downloads are available in low or high wmv files. I didn’t try the low, but the high are not great, but not bad. Resolution is 720x528 at 2000 - 5000kbps. HD is available to download on some scenes, but not many. HD, when available, is only offered in mp4. Streaming is available too, in high and low resolution. I didn’t sample it because I prefer to download. HD is offered in a lot more streaming scenes than for download. Pictures are available, though appear to be screencaps only. I didn’t bother with any though the ones I did look at had a very low resolution (711x480). Zips are not available. The site appears to update daily, but that update is just a scene in a DVD, not the full DVD each day. I used Free Download Manager and had some minor problems: many files would time out. There was a lot of reloading downloads. Using FDM, downloads were normally at 1800kb/s, though it sometimes dropped as low as 1300. One issue is the way the site names the scenes you download. The files have a numeric name that gives no indication of which DVD it’s from. That leaves the user to associate it with the title manually. The biggest drawback is the lack of a search function. There are drop-down menus for series, titles and stars, but there is no way to search for a title or star by just entering that name somewhere. As studio sites go, this is pretty good. The TBP and PU pages seem to link to the mobile site, and on those pages they don’t note the monthly TBP/PU discount. It does exist – at $9.95 a month. Even without all the additional sites, this would be a great value.
