Pros: - HD available in new titles - SD looks good - Access to a lot of older titles - Supports download managers - Access to a good mix of older and newer JJ stuff - Newer DVDs appear to be uploaded shortly after release - Bills through Epoch - Updates regularly Cons: - Site not organized by DVD title - Small site - Download speeds can vary - Need a membership to a second Jules Jordan site to get all the scenes from some DVDs - Search function could use some improvement - Updates by adding only one scene at a time Bottom Line: After two memberships to sites that I’d not normally have joined due to their focus on older (25+) and busty women, I figured I’d better join a site that I knew I’d like: a DVD-based, raw hardcore site with a healthy dose of anal scenes. Jules Jordan is probably one of those producers who’s work you either like or don’t. He started with Evil Angel many years ago and has continued to produce some excellent porn if you like your porn with a rougher edge and heavy dose of anal sex. He’s no Max Hardcore though, and his work was certainly a good fit for Evil Angel. If you like EA stuff you’re apt to like JJ stuff. The site is organized in a straightforward way in that you can sort by all scenes, older scenes, HD scenes and by models. Clicking on either of those will bring up a list with large thumbnails that you can further open to get what you’re looking for. The individual scenes open to a new page with a large window for streaming (which, thankfully, doesn’t start automatically). There are links for streaming choices and for download choices. In the newer scenes streaming is available in HD, SD and mobile, and the same is usually available in HD (1080p and 720p), SD and mobile for downloads. The only file type is mp4. The videos looked good (I downloaded 720p when it was available). Obviously older files shot in SD don’t look as good but they’re still watchable. The site supports download managers and links don’t time out quickly. Download speeds were usually good at 6+MB/s using IDM though there were times (infrequently) when it could be half that. The good news is that you have access to 124 DVDs. I’m not sure how many DVDs Jordan has produced but IAFD doesn’t seem to list too many more than that. This means that you have access to a lot of his older titles and still have access to new releases. The newer releases seem to get uploaded shortly after they hit the DVD market. The bad news here is that with only 124 DVD titles this is still a pretty small site. And it’s destined to stay that way for a while since the site only updates with one scene being added every two days. On some days two scenes get added, but that isn’t frequent. The other downside to this is that if you’re looking for a specific scene in a movie you might have to wait a while to get it. I’ll admit this may be subjective, but on a DVD-based studio site it seems logical to me that the scenes be arranged by the DVD they appeared on. For example, if you want to check out Ass Worship 3 you should be able to sort by DVD title, select that title and see the scenes in that movie. But for some reason the site isn’t set up this way, even though the DVD title will appear as a tag in a scene. Not to get too confusing here, but let’s say you open a scene with a star you like. The thumbnail and link will give no indication of which DVD the scene is from, but when you open the link there will be a tag with the DVD title that you can then click on to see all the available scenes from that title. An obvious work-around would be to just enter the DVD into the search function, right? Sort of, but if you search “Ass Worship 3” be prepared to scroll down past the first four or five links because those first links won’t be scenes from the DVD you’re looking for. Aim for the fifth or sixth scene and open it and you might just have a scene from Ass Worship 3 with a link to the DVD that you can then follow through to see the other scenes from that title. My description is confusing partly because the process is confusing. To make this even worse, the tour pages have a “Movies” link which will take you to a page with thumbnail covers of all the DVDs on the site. When you enter the member’s page though, that link is gone. What really hurts the value of a membership is the way that the studio has decided to release the videos. Besides this site the studio also has The Ass Factory. We can debate whether a single studio the size of JJ really needs two sites (I’d debate that they don’t) but the problem is that for most JJ titles you might get three scenes here and two at The Ass Factory, which means that to get more complete access to the JJ library you need to buy two $30 memberships. But I suppose if there are enough people like me who will pay for both there is no incentive to merge the two sites into one. So is the site worth a membership? It depends on who you are. If you really like Jordan’s stuff it probably is. If it’s merely a passing interest for you there are probably better places to put your porn dollars. The porn is excellent, but the site needs a rethink on a couple of key problems and the fact that the site is small and the DVDs are spread over two sites makes the value lower than it should be. (As an aside, if you want a membership to only one JJ site I’d recommend this one over The Ass Factory. AF is a much smaller site for the same fee. Pros: - 30 sites on the network - TBP / PU discount - Supports download managers - Bills through Epoch - Many options for downloads Cons: - No usable search function - Not a huge amount for people who don’t like big breasts and MILFs - Many of the big breasts are ‘enhanced’ and not natural Bottom Line: I doubt that I’m offending anyone by saying that Brazzers is a network that caters mostly to MILF and large-breast aficionados (and most of those big breasts are enhanced, not natural). So why would a guy who prefers younger and more petite models take a membership here? The answer is simple – Jenni Lee’s first anal scene. Yes, I have to confess that I took a membership just to access one scene. As with my review of Naughty America I realize that there are a lot of reviews already so I’ll review the network from the perspective of someone who prefers younger and more petite models. Is it worth a membership for those of us with those preferences? The network is made up of 30 individual sites each based around a theme. All of the most popular porn themes are represented. Unlike Naughty America, Brazzers doesn’t really have any sites that would specifically appeal to those of us who like younger and smaller models. In contrast, many of the sites are specifically aimed at members who like big breasts, with names like Big Tits in Uniform, Big Tits in Sports, Big Tits at School and Big Tits at Work. So if you like big breasts you’ll know there are lots of scenes for you here. There are currently over 4600 scenes on the network and three more are added daily. The bad news is that many of the sites are currently not updating, though I don’t consider that a negative as the scenes are still available. Each site opens into a separate page where the scenes are listed with a large thumbnail. Each thumbnail has a scene name and lists the female star or stars. Clicking on a scene you want brings up a new page where you can stream or download the scene. Newer scenes have more options available for download, which makes sense, with many offering as high as 1080p. Mp4s are the most common offering with newer scenes being available in SD and 720p and 1080p. One (or sometimes two) WMV resolution is also usually available as is a MPEG version. Many also offer a size for mobile devices too. The size of the file is listed right beside all the choices which is helpful in deciding which resolution you want. This is useful since the 1080p files can top out at more than 2GB. I downloaded the 720p when it was available and it actually comes in at 854x480 and plays at 2000+kb/s and 30fps. Subjectively they look great. Older scenes obviously don’t have HD available or the same range of choices which can be a bit frustrating but even the older scenes look pretty good. I had no problem using a download manager (IDM) and found that the links didn’t time out unreasonably quickly. If this site has a serious flaw it’s the lack of a useful search function. I know other reviewers have commented that the search function isn’t very good, but I’d go further and say it is really non-existent. This is a flaw because the site is huge and covers many themes so relying solely on tags to find material can be problematic. The site does have a series of filters but I didn’t find them to be terribly helpful. And to make matters worse I’d often forget to clear the filters when starting a new search and that would further limit what I found until I realized my mistake. There is also no way to search for individual stars by just typing their name in. You can select the ‘pornstar’ tab which you can then sort by letter. You can further sort that in any of several ways (popularity, number of scenes, etc) with one of the sorts being by name. The problem with this is that the alphabet that Brazzers uses appears to have no connection to the modern alphabet that most English countries use. If you’re looking for a specific star be prepared to manually search through several pages to find her. So does Brazzers offer any value to a potential member who prefers younger and more petite models? Ummm… yeah. Probably. I think what likely tilts the balance towards recommending this network is that there are scenes for guys like us and the discounted TBP / PU price makes it an okay value for people who aren’t into big breasts and MILFs. And they use a reputable biller. (If you’re a fan of large breasts and MILFs then there is excellent value here and I’d highly recommend a membership.) There are scenes for guys like me, though there aren’t as many as I’d hoped, and finding them isn’t made any easier by the flawed search function. But I’d still recommend it. But I’ll likely only be back if they happen to have the world’s first Lexi Diamond anal scene. (This is a bit off topic, but the network produces a couple of high-end porn series. Think of it as if HBO did hardcore. These are interesting and the production values are high – better than most in the industry. In one of the series a young woman is murdered, wrapped in plastic and dumped by a stream. For some reason, Brazzers often uses this shot as their site’s wallpaper. Pros: - Even though the network promotes itself as featuring more mature and more buxom models, there is still a lot here for those of us who like younger and more petite models - Huge network of 27 sites - Over 5000 scenes - Exclusive (appears to be) - Newer uploads (2009 onward) offer a wide range of file types and resolutions - HD available - Many sites updating regularly - Bills through Epoch - Allows download managers Cons: - Site has a lot of ads that can slow things down - Have to enter your username and password each time - More dead links than I’d expect on a network like this - Older scenes are low resolution - Some sites no longer updating - Proportionally fewer anal scenes than similar networks (that’s obviously very subjective and isn’t factored into the score) Bottom Line: Like a lot of PU members probably did too, I joined this network to take advantage of the great price they were offering to commemorate uploading their 5000th scene. I had never considered joining before because much of the preview material made it clear that the site was more about buxom MILFs than the 18-22 petite stars I prefer. But with a $5 fee it was worth the risk. I know that this will be the 50th review posted here so to make this of some use to PU members who share my tastes I’ll review it from the perspective of someone preferring younger and more petite models. The network has 27 sites up and while I realize that some readers may dispute my classification of sites, the majority of sites cater to members looking for older and more buxom models. I knew that going in and I’m not critical of that. I also won’t let that impact this review or the score. There are some sites that focus on the young and petite. These are: • Fast Times – 148 scenes, updating with two scenes added per month • My Sister’s Hot Friend – 481 scenes, updating with up to eight scenes added per month • Naughty Bookworms – 430 scenes, updating with up to eight scenes added per month • Naughty Athletics – 137 scenes, hasn’t updated since August 2012 • I Have a Wife – 246 scenes, updating with up to four scenes added per month • SoCal Coeds – 40 scenes, hasn’t updated since 2007 • My Dad’s Hot Girlfriend – 162 scenes, updating with up to four scenes added per month • My Friend’s Hot Girl – 41 scenes, updating with up to three scenes added per month • Naughty Country Girls – 22 scenes, hasn’t updated since 2009 • Naughty Rich Girls – 39 scenes, last update was January 2012 The network offers a wide variety of file types and resolutions on their newer scenes. There is really something for everyone. Mp4s are available in 1080p, 720p and 480p, WMVs are available in ‘DVD’ and ‘Normal’ and there is a Quicktime version and one for mobile devices. On all but the HD files they are also available in parts. I didn’t download all the various versions to test them, but what I did download is what it is advertised to be. The one problem with resolutions is that while they certainly offer state-of-the-art downloads now they didn’t always do that. On many older scenes the best offered is 512k which looks pretty bad. When these were being offered I’m fairly sure that they were not up to par with the best in the industry. Streaming and photos are also available but I sampled neither so I can’t comment on those. With the exception noted below, the network supports download managers and the links don’t appear to time-out quickly. The site definitely has some flaws, and I realize that some of these may seem trivial but they add up to reduce the usefulness of the network. Not in any order, the flaws I found are: • The network has no option to remember your username and password. • If you’re on an individual site and click to open a scene, hitting your browser’s back button will kick you all the way back to page one, even if you were on page 30. Either remember where you were or use tabs. (This may not be a problem for people who don’t use IE.) • Earlier in my membership I couldn’t use Internet Download Manager to download either of the two highest resolution files. That may be fixed now but I don’t know if it is. • There are a lot more dead links on this network then I’ve seen with competitors. One major flaw on the network is that it is extremely ‘busy’ with ads and feeds. Ordinarily I can overlook ads (they do work on me sometimes) because I realize it can be a decent revenue stream for exclusive networks like this but in this case they cross the line to be obtrusive. To even get into the network you have to click through two ads. Once in, the pages have a lot of ads. They’re obtrusive because they require a lot of time to download. I have a fiber op connection and on many occasions I had to wait for what seemed like a minute for the ads to load before I could navigate on the page. I realize that this is purely subjective and many readers may not care or may see this as a plus, but for a network of this size they don’t have a lot of anal sex scenes. There were many models who are known for their anal performances who don’t do anal here. This is a subjective con, but for others it may be a plus. I’m just making the statement so that readers will know this. So was this membership worth the heavily discounted price? Absolutely. Is it worth the usually-discounted price offered through TBP/PU? Definitely yes. Even for a guy who isn’t among the target customer group there was plenty of great porn with young and petite models to make this a worthwhile investment. I’d recommend that anyone who shares my interest in a particular type of model take the plunge regardless of the fact that the stuff we like is in the minority. Pros: - 175 studios (some major, some niche) - 9000+ DVDs - Many individual scenes independent of DVDs - Some exclusive sites - Updates daily - Adds new studios - Supports download managers (IDM for me) - No obvious time-outs for files - TBP / PU special membership makes it really worthwhile Cons: - Not all sites update - Like other DVD mega-sites, there is a lot of crap to sort through while looking for the gems Bottom Line: I wrote a review of this site about a year ago after my first membership here and after re-reading that I can say that it all still applies. I know that I’m not the only PU member who regularly visits the same sites so my perspective in this second review is to give some thoughts about whether it is worth joining a second or later time. I’ll cut to the chase, the answer to that is certainly yes, but it isn’t as easy a decision to make as with some other sites. PSN suffers from a similar problem to other DVD sites, namely the availability of new material to keep updating the site. Like Videobox, PSN uploads five DVD titles per day. Unlike VB though, PSN doesn’t put the complete title up at once. You may see a DVD that you really want only to find that the scene you really want is due to be posted later. The good news is that you usually won’t have to wait more than a few days to get all the scenes in that DVD. The problem with that uploading schedule for both PSN and VB is that they have to upload a lot of crap to keep to it. The good news is that, in my opinion, PSN uploads less crap than VB. The site is large, with over 9000 DVDs already posted from 175 studios. The studios range from the biggest of the big names like Elegant Angel and Private to more niche oriented studios. In short, there is likely something here for everyone. It appears that PSN continues to add studios because, as I noted in a comment a few weeks ago, they are now the only site I’m aware of that has Max Hardcore DVDs available for download. Yes, Max is polarizing, but I still think it reflects well on PSN to licence and make available these titles, even if they are the edited American versions. The site continues to offer downloads in multiple formats, with AVI, H.264 and MPEG being the most common. The H.264 files come in at 720x540 and look decent so only true ‘size queens’ will miss higher definition scenes. I use Internet Download Manager and had no problems. The links didn’t time out in the time it took to download them and download speeds were as fast as I see with most porn sites. One problem that I perceived (and am open to being corrected on if I’m wrong) is that there is some overlap within the sites themselves. Take the site Sperm Cocktail which offers a lot of Brandon Iron’s material including his series “A Good Source of Iron.” Sorting the site by DVDs gives you all the DVDs obviously, which you can then click on and download the individual scenes from each. You can also sort by scene which appears to includes a lot that isn’t on the DVDs but that is mixed in with the same scenes that are on the DVDs which means that you will likely end up downloading some stuff twice. This is no big deal if you don’t care to associate a scene with the DVD it is from, but for those of us who like to organize by DVD it can be an issue. While this likely won’t happen if you join, I will point out that both times I did I had initial problems and I’ve read of others having similar problems. The first time I joined they had just started offering the full access to TBP/PU members and I got missed. This time after paying my fee I was given limited trial access. The good news is that on both occasions customer service was helpful and resolved the problems quickly. One advantage to a rejoin is that during your first time through you’ve likely downloaded all the material you wanted from the several sites that no longer update. Most of these are solo model sites where the model has left the business. This is an advantage on a rejoin because PSN still has a download limit of 100 files per 24 hour period and many of the files on the older sites are small so you can hit the limit. I’m no fan of limits but I have to admit that the one here is pretty reasonable. It would have to be a rainy, hung-over Sunday to hit the limit. One point that bears mentioning even though it is a repeat of what I said in my original review is that if you want to join this site it is very important to join through TBP / PU. Joining through TBP / PU makes what might be a decent membership and makes it a great one. The difference is that joining through here gets you access to the otherwise-optional Moviez material which is really the bulk of the good material on the site. In my opinion, PSN is definitely worth a re-join. They continue to expand and even add new studios. They offer a great collection of mainstream American porn along with a good mix of lesser known European material and even some niche stuff. Pros: - Access to 44 Sites - Interesting niche content - Updates daily - Site might be good for people who use streaming rather than downloads - Photos available Cons: - No usable search function - No Stars named - Meaningless file names - Doesn’t support download managers - Many scenes appear to be clips but the others in the series aren’t readily identified - Must wait one minute between downloads - Files only available in one format and size - Scenes stream and play automatically - Photos vary widely in quality - No zips for photos Bottom Line: There are certain porn niches that I really like; two of those are public nudity and group sex parties. This network has several sites that offer material in those niches and since those sites that have this material are relatively rare I often take a chance when I find one. But given the reviews posted here and the information at TBP I should have avoided this site. I’ll skip right to the bottom line now: with a narrow exception, do not join this site! I’ve said many times that I think for a porn site to be great it has to have good porn, the site needs to be well laid out and finally it has to be easily accessed or downloaded by the user. A lot of sites hit two of those targets but fail on a third and don’t become great sites. They’re stuck at merely good. It is arguable that this network offers good porn. I think they do: some of the material available is interesting and looks pretty good. But on the overall layout of the site and the ease of access by members this site falls flat. The network is made up of 44 sites. Unlike a lot of other networks that follow a formula, this one has unique concepts for many of the sites. Most of the standard porn niches are covered, like teens , MILFs and cumshots, but rarer niches are also covered here, like feet, pubic hair, drunk girls, BBWs and femdom. What drew me in were several sites that feature a strip club motif and sites with public nudity and group sex parties. While I like many of the unique niches available here the scenes themselves are just mediocre. In most cases the scenes are quite short. Many of the niche sites have scenes that average less than five minutes. The layout of each site is the same: there are 16 medium-sized thumbnails per page with a short, mostly useless description. Clicking on a thumbnail open that page where the scene starts streaming and playing automatically. This is a pet peeve of mine: I don’t like that it hogs bandwidth and I don’t like the audio surprises that come with sites like this. There is an option to download the scene too. The downloads are only available as mp4s and only in one resolution. That resolution varies from fairly low (720x480 at 1500kb/s) to fairly decent (1280x720 at 3500kb/s). I didn’t download a lot of material so I can’t really say how much is at the higher resolution. I have a number of complaints about how the downloads are accessed. First, the file names are meaningless, consisting of just a number. I can live with that, but many of them include “part 1” as part of the title, obviously implying that there are other parts. I really don’t like scenes broken into parts in 2012 because for the vast majority of user it simply isn’t necessary, but to make matters worse, if the scenes actually are in clips the other clips in the scene aren’t identified. How do I find them? The name gives no clue and there isn’t even a usably search function if the names had any meaning. The biggest flaw in downloading is something I’ve never seen before on a website. The site doesn’t allow download managers (which isn’t unique but still a very annoying) but the strange thing is a restriction that you have to wait one minute between downloads. This might not be such a big deal if the scenes were all 1GB files, but since many of the files are only 10MB or less that download in a few seconds, it is annoying to have to wait a full minute to download another. If you aren’t willing to provide reasonable access to your members then I think you really need to rethink your business model. One bit of good news is that the network does update regularly with at least a dozen clips being added each day. I can’t tell if the scenes are exclusive or not. I’ve not seen them anywhere else but given the wide variation in quality and the fact that they look like the same kind of clips that are available elsewhere I’m inclined to think that they aren’t exclusive. But I’m certainly open to correction on this point. The site also offers photos. I didn’t spend a lot of time looking at them but I can report that the quality varies quite a bit and the site commits the serious sin of not allowing zipped downloads. As for a recommendation, I’d only recommend a membership to a narrow group: you like the niches they offer, and you only like streaming video. If you’re a photo guy or you prefer to download videos, my recommendation is to avoid the site. It is disappointing to see some unique porn but to have access limited to it by some bad decisions. Pros: - 37 Sites - Over 1800 scenes - Something for most – broad range of usual niches - Supports download managers - Streaming available - Downloads available - Download speeds to industry norms - Exclusive scenes with well known stars - TBP / PU discount Cons: - Updates are infrequent for a network of this size - Only one file type for download – WMV - Search function needs to be improved - Scene page hogs bandwidth as it downloads to stream - Wide range in resolutions - Some scenes very low resolution - Scenes aren’t dated - No biller - Some scenes labeled as HD aren’t Bottom Line: I’ve got mixed feelings about this network. On one hand, its large, with over 1800 scenes spread over 37 sites covering the usual porn niches of teens, cougars, lesbians, MILFs (if those differ from cougars… I don’t know), big dicks and interracial. They also have some relatively rare sites with group sex in a party setting. Probably the only major site niche they’re missing is anal, but I promise I didn’t let that glaring oversight affect my score or review. Another advantage to this network is that it does offer exclusive scenes with some of the best known porn models. If you’re looking to add new scenes of your favourite starlets you should consider a membership here. On the other hand, updates are few and far between for such a large network, and many of the sites don’t update at all. Because the scenes aren’t dated in any usable way I can’t really provide more definitive information, but it appears that only ten sites are regularly updating, with another four that may be occasionally updating. By ‘regularly updating’ though, I don’t mean that it is regular as in a set schedule. As of the date of this review the last update was nine days ago. The network updates by adding one scene to the network at a time. So if you join the network for a specific site you may find that site doesn’t update or doesn’t post an update for the month you’re there. As porn, this is just standard-fare stuff. That isn’t meant to be an accolade or a criticism, it is a simple fact. On most of the sites the porn looks just like the porn on other similar networks. The production values are up to normal standards. The network’s production values don’t fail it, but neither do they set it apart. The network’s main page shows you the most recent six updates. This is the only place where there is an upload date associated with a scene. From there you can go into the individual sites or search for pornstars. I didn’t find the search function to be especially useful, but there is a pull-down menu of tags and that works well. Be advised that the tag menu works on individual sites too, so if you have the After Class Adventures site up and use the ‘anal’ tag it will sort just that site by anal. Using the search function to do that will give all the anal scenes on the network even though you’re just on one site. Opening a scene brings you to a separate page. My biggest complaint is that the scene starts downloading the streaming video immediately and automatically. I find this to be a big bandwidth hog that I don’t want. To the network’s credit though, the scene doesn’t start to play automatically. At this page you can stream or download the video. I’ve criticized sites in past reviews for only offering mp4s since I prefer WMVs, so it’s only fair that I criticize this network for only offering WMVs. Customers should have a choice. An issue with the downloaded scenes is that they are only available in one resolution. In some cases, presumably with older uploads (remember, no date info is available) the resolution is 320x240 at 906kb/s. These are almost unwatchable by 2012 standards. Newer files come in at 1280x720 at 3100kb/s. Both resolutions play at 30fps and are in WMV 9. The site really needs to remaster their older stuff and offer a lower resolution option for people who don’t have the bandwidth to download a large file. Apart from the lowest resolution scenes, they look good. In a comment from last year, insomniacxxx stated that some scenes labeled as HD aren’t. This is still true, but it may be that he and I noticed this on the same scenes. I saw some 320x240 scenes that had the HD logo. Photos are available for most scenes, as singles and zips. The resolution isn’t bad, but not great, at 945x630. The network allows download managers and I had download speeds comparable to similar sites. The site bills internally and doesn’t use a third-party biller. So would I recommend this site? But given that I’m on a public nudity kick lately and this network has a public nudity site I figured that it couldn’t be THAT bad. This network might just be the worst I’ve ever joined. The network is a collection of 20 unrelated sites that cover most of the usual porn niches with some emphasis on interracial scenes. Apart from the public nudity site I was also looking for access to several sites that feature ‘parties’ like Frat House Fuck Fest and Bachelor Party Fuck Fest. The odd thing about the site is that at first glance it looks fairly well designed. It looks like many other decent networks, but when you start actually using the site you soon realize that there are serious design flaws. Some readers may question this approach, but I will admit that I’m reviewing this site after downloading and viewing very little of what’s available. I’d normally download and view a lot of scenes from a site before giving an opinion of it, but in this case while there are definitely scenes I’d like to see it isn’t worth the time or hard drive space to have them. All of the videos on the site are available only as clips. Even the newest videos don’t offer a full video option. I can understand why this was done in 2002, but in 2012 it is a very rare person who’s internet speed dictates getting clips. To make matters worse, while the specs on the newest scenes seem reasonable, the videos actually look blocky and pixilated. Add to that that the cameraman can’t hold the camera steady and that movement causes the pixilation to seem worse. The videos are difficult to watch. The newest videos come only as WMVs and are 720x480 at 1700kb/s and 30fps. I don’t understand how all the tech stuff is inter-related, but subjectively these videos look terrible. For older videos things are worse. I joined specifically to get access to Butt Naked in the Streets and was sorely disappointed in that. It’s rare to have a public nudity site featuring well-known American porn models in an American city so I had high hopes. Unfortunately the older videos come in at just 320x240 at 330kb/s and only 8fps. I’m confident in saying that when these were uploaded several years ago they weren’t even close to being up to industry standards then, so in 2012 they look truly awful. Download speeds are also well below what I’m used to with modern sites. Selecting a site on the network brings up a window within your browser. Not a new window or a tab, but this ‘floating’ thing that is superimposed over the main page. You need to scroll through it but its too easy to accidently scroll on the main page which then moves the floating widow out of your view. And too frequently I clicked my browser’s ‘back’ button instead of closing the floating window, thereby kicking myself back to the login screen. This method seems to be an attempt to be innovative but it doesn’t work and just seems gimmicky. Thanks to TBP and PU I rarely get burned in a membership and had I trusted the members here more I’d have avoided this disaster. To make matters more difficult, there are two sites that are either operated by or affiliated with Wicked. Obviously the technical information in this review only applies to this site. I started watching porn in the mid-1980s when Gonzo had yet to be invented. Most porn that could be rented in those days followed a fairly standard pattern: studios had a few contract models, the movies involved acting and had a plot. And there seemed to be a rule that every movie needed a lesbian scene. Wicked still subscribes to this formula for many of their movies, even the newer ones. This is neither good nor bad, but only to give you a sense of what you’ll have access to. At any given time Wicked has several models working on contract. Navigation is fairly straightforward: you can sort the site using scenes or DVDs, and you can go to specific models. After that any sorting or searching begins to fall apart. Each movies has tags applied to it, but those tags aren’t searchable and don’t seem to have any impact on the search function either. For example, I searched the term ‘anal’ and got many anal scenes, but I certainly didn’t get all the anal scenes with that search. They really need to have a better search function. When you open a DVD page there is a large screen at the top of the page where the movie can be streamed. There are a list of tags and performers, and then vertically down the right side of the page there are small thumbnails for each scene. The good news is that you can download the entire video very easily. The bad news is that if all you want are scenes this can be more confusing. Once you open a page for a specific scene the only information available is the female model’s name. There are no tags on these pages to give any indication as to what’s in the scene – just who. I downloaded scenes that I normally wouldn’t have because the only information I had was female talent. For example, if I went to movie XYZ I could see that the ‘anal’ tag is there so there is anal in the movie, but site doesn’t tell me which scene has anal. I even downloaded what I though were b/g scenes that were actually lesbian. Viewing the scenes is easy. There is a streaming option right on the page (which doesn’t download or play automatically – full marks for that!). Downloading the scenes is easy using a drop-down menu to select the available resolutions. I give the site credit for making good quality uploads available. Obviously the older material won’t look as good, but on the newer material options are available. While not all options are available on all scenes, the possibilities are: DVD, 720p, 1080p and iPod. I’d normally have selected the 720p but I found that the DVD quality was quite good so I chose that – and saved some disk space too. One caveat: the files are only available as mp4. No other options are available. The DVD files come in at 720x400 @ 800+ kb/s and 24fps. They look better than the specs suggest, and the HD stuff looks excellent. Download managers are supported with no obvious timeouts. Download speeds were up to usual standards for similar sites. The site does update by (apparently) adding one DVD a week. The schedule isn’t easy to determine because they only use a “release” date which with older titles is clearly the date the original movie was released (it certainly wasn’t added to the site in 1993) and with more recently added titles seems to be the date it was uploaded to the site. The bottom line is that while the site has some flaws, I’d still recommend it. Wicked isn’t cookie-cutter porn like so many other studios. I returned to it to see what was new and to download the videos and photos that were uploaded since I was last a member. I expected some changes, but one of the changes that I found was definitely a negative. I’ll get that one huge, negative change out of the way first: the site is no longer updating and hasn’t updated since early November of 2011. According to the news posted on the site the owners didn’t make this decision, rather it was forced on them through a cease-and-desist order from the City of Los Angeles. (As an aside, I see that a similar site, Nude in L.A. doesn’t even exist now. If there is one downside to having such a model-centred site it is that the heat of the scene is really up to the model: if the model is daring and adventurous the shoot will be more fun to watch than if the model is shy and reserved. But a huge advantage to this is that this is one of the few public nudity sites that does show the models being nervous. The technical stuff hasn’t changed since I last reviewed the site, except now there are now more scenes posted. There has been some new BTS material added too. Photos are available, as singles and zips at 800x1200 but the main thrust of the site are the videos. Some readers will disagree with my position that a site that no longer updates still has lots of value. This is subjective, but given that this site does contain a lot of material, serves a rare niche (American public nudity), and that political authorities seem to be closing in on that niche, I think the site is an exceptional value. Most BDSM sites put a woman in bondage and inflict some pain. Some sites have a unique theme (Water Bondage) but the underlying premise is the same. TTOO is different: there is bondage, humiliation and pain, but the premise is the training of a submissive woman. The niche is the making of a sub, not what can be done after the sub is created. The traditional TTOO shoots are broken down into days, with the normal training regime being conducted over four days. The intensity of the training is increased as each day passes. Bondage, humiliation, demeaning work, pain and training are all here. Sex occurs in the shoots. The sex is very well done but isn’t the main focus: it occurs as part of the training, not just for the sex itself. The end product is near four hours of some intense video per shoot with exceptional production values. In the past couple of years TTOO has added a new kind of shoot to keep things interesting. This is still about training, but they’ll bring in multiple girls to audition to be trained. I’m a HUGE fan of the Kink sites and I may have been blind to some faults because of that. The faults are fairly minor but just look more serious given the overall quality of the site. I think that for a site to be exceptional it has to provide excellent porn, make that easily available to members and has to be well organized. Obviously the first element is the most important, and Kink delivers: this is incredible porn. They succeed in the member access by allowing download managers and having servers that never slow down and give some of the highest download speeds I’ve encountered. Where Kink falls down is in site organization. To keep this succinct, here are my specific concerns: - Limited search function – the search function is limited and doesn’t work well. The problem appears that when you search a term the only thing it searches is the scene title, not the performers. So searching for star X won’t get you a scene if the scene is titled “Rope Slut.” You can search the model index but that isn’t great either. You can locate scenes on specific Kink sites but you can’t download them from there. The solution is to take a few key words from the title and go back to the main site page and search those terms. - File names vary and are of limited use – this is likely subjective, but the file naming convention has no standardization. One bright note is that each scene has a unique shoot number as part of the name and that can be searched. The issue is you may download “1234_Bobbi” as the Day 1 scene in Bobbi Starr’s training, and then download “1100_Bobbi_S” as Day 2. The problem is that unless you rename the files as you go, the Bobbi in day 1 might not be Bobbi Starr, and if you’re sorting your files numerically you’re apt to get Day 1 and Day 2 mixed up. In most instances, model’s last names aren’t included as part of the file. I think a file-naming standard that captured the shoot number, model’s full name and day of the shoot would work much better. The lack of a search function and odd naming are bad enough when dealing with the traditional multi-day shoots, but organizing some of the multi-girl, multi-day shoots is a lot of work. I joined specifically to access one of their unique sites but I found many of the other sites quite good too. DFN has 21 sites that cover a wide range of niches. The overall theme that runs through the network is interracial sex, specifically black men with white women. One site does feature white men and black women. The sites range from fairly standard porn, straight b/g, b/b/g, anal, etc., legal teen oriented sites, cougar sites, through sites that feature glory holes, and a couple of sites with some unique themes – Wife Writing and The Minion. Both of these are unique sites. The network is simple in layout and operation: the homepage shows all 21 sites. You enter each site through that link and all the sites share the same simple layout: five scenes are listed per page and there is easy access to all the pages. One thing I particularly like about the sites is that on each page, beneath a large thumbnail of each scene, all the viewing and downloading options are available. So many other sites require the users to click through several pages before getting to the download or viewing links; DFN’s choice to keep it simple is appreciated. Speaking of the downloading and viewing options, DFN has more than most other sites. While only two formats are offered (WMV and MP4) those are usually offered in more than one size. I download WMVs and those are offered in two ‘sizes’ – both come in at 640x480 with the only difference being that the larger ones are 4500kb/s versus the smaller ones at 1500kb/s. Both play at 30fps. Some of the older videos are a lower resolution. Oddly, for 2012, the site still allows users to download the videos in segments. While I’m sure that few people still need to do this, I’m sure that those who do appreciate this option. While the resolutions are somewhat below standards, they still look crisp. Streaming is also available in two resolutions that appear to be similar to the WMV downloads. Speaking of older videos, DFN appears to be moving to remaster a lot of their older scenes. This is both good and bad, depending on how you look at it. The ‘bad’ is that they seem to use the remastered videos as updates rather than posting new videos as often. I don’t hold the opinion that this is necessarily bad because it gives access to fairly decent quality videos of stars from the past decade. I consider that to be good. The site also offers photos, and like the videos there are several options. Interestingly, the options are for good resolution photos (1067x1600) taken during the video shoot, lower resolution screencaps and these things they call ‘panels’ which are photos that contain four smaller photos. The higher resolution photos are available as zips but the other two sets are singles only. The site supports download managers. I use Internet Download Manager and had no problem with links dying on me over a period of over an hour. One glaring problem with the network is the lack of an effective search function or the use of tags. There is a search function, but it has serious flaws. It allows you to search for a word or words in the title or description of the scene but that can be a rather blunt tool. For example, I searched the term “anal” and got a number of hits but many of the scenes had no anal sex in them. The site producers frequently refer to a woman’s “birth canal” in the scene descriptions and that phrase was captured in a search for anal scenes. This could be solved by a smarter search engine, but it would probably be better solved by tagging scenes with niches. Any potential member is obviously going to make their own decision on value, but in DFN’s case some people may jump to a conclusion based solely on price. The issue is that DFN charges $35 per month, which is more than most comparable sites. Is it worth $35? My opinion is that it is. I think we’ve become accustomed to lower prices but the market has changed and we all may need to rethink the value equation. In this case, you get access to over a thousand exclusive scenes with decent production values and fast downloads (with no obvious limits, I might add). I think that’s good value. (As an aside, I’m not sure where the upper limit on pricing is, but I note that last week TBP posted a review of a BDSM site, Infernal Restraints, that commands $65 per month. I’m a BDSM fan, but that seems a bit steep.) One potential concern that has been expressed before is that several of the sites do not appear to be actively updating with new material. I joined Dog Fart Network specifically to get access to this site. This is a very small niche and my interest in it stems mostly from its use as part of BDSM. While the site is interesting and reasonably well done, I was a bit disappointed with the theme since the ‘writing’ is done to highlight the fact that the scenes are interracial rather than specifically as part of BDSM. (So instead of having “Whore” written on her forehead the model might have “Black Cock Lover” instead. One thing I particularly like is that the video and photo options are available right below the model’s name and screen-cap. There’s no need to open a second page just to access the scene. Speaking of video download options, the site offers two: WMV and MP4. WMV files are usually offered in two sizes. It was probably just average when it was produced. I use WMVs and the most common resolution is 640x480 at 1000kb/s and 30fps. The next most common resolution is 720x406 at 1500kb/s and 30fps. Back in April exotics4rme noted that there could be problems in cancelling your membership when you add on additional sites. Those concerns are still valid. While a simple click will cancel your main network membership you will have to hunt around to find any add-ons to ensure that those are cancelled too. Those come in at 640x480 @ 1100kb/s and 30fps. Subjectively, they’re what you’d expect for those specs. I do wish that the network offered more choice for WMVs. While this isn’t widespread, I did find a higher number of WMV files with unsynchronized audio than I’d see on other sites. This is a fairly rare problem, so to have it occur on 20+ scenes seems high. The network does offer a lot of material in HD. The HD is MP4 only and comes in at 1280x720 at 3000kb/s and 30fps. These, obviously, look a lot better than the low resolution WMVs. While photos are available, this really isn’t a photo site. The photos are screencaps of the videos and are available as singles or as zips. I didn’t download any photos. Speaking of downloads, while the network would allow you to use a download manager to increase the download speed, the link timeouts were so short that a manager couldn’t be used to queue up multiple scenes. The timeouts are the shortest I’ve ever encountered on a site that still allows download managers, being less than two minutes before the link would go dead. This isn’t a pro or con, but it seems odd that the network stops updating sites but creates another one with a similar niche. In all cases there is a ‘happy ending’ and in 80% of scenes on all sites there is oral. There are a few sex scenes, but those are rare. All Girl Massage seems to follow a similar pattern, though I didn’t watch many of those. Some potential members might find the massage theme can get a little dull after a while. Video downloads are available as WMVs in 240p or 480p resolutions. MP4s are available in 240, 480, 540, 720 and 1080p. I prefer WMV files and I downloaded the 480p ones which come in at 720x400 at 2200kb/s and 30fps. I can’t make any assessment of the MP4s. While I understand why a site would limit WMVs (due to the larger size, I suspect) I do wish that they offered more choice with that file type. In their defence, even though the numbers don’t look all that impressive, subjectively the videos look great. An issue I’ve had in the past with Fame sites is that they have a short time-out on the links which makes using a download manager difficult. I’ll admit that I have a faster connection from the last time I had a Fame membership, but the problem doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad here as I’ve experienced in the past. The site allows download managers (I use Free Download Manager) and there are no obvious timeouts. An interesting feature is the use of original music in many of the scenes. The name Hustler has a lot of brand recognition among porn buyers so just offering 1500+ Hustler DVDs should be enough to entice anyone to join. Other minor negatives are the weak search function. Clicking on the performer in the scene section obviously opens that scene for viewing or downloading. Clicking on a DVD cover open that DVD’s page where you get one thumbnail of the star per scene. Clicking on that thumbnail opens the scene page for viewing or downloading. Streaming options are for MP4, FLV and WMV. You can also choose the quality of the stream as Basic, Medium, High or Super. Super is not often available. When you roll over the download button the options for that scene appear in a dropdown menu. Downloads are most commonly available as WMVs but sometimes there are MP4s on offer too. This site has very little in high-resolution on offer. My suspicion is that because we’re dealing with ‘classics’ the quality of the originals is a limiting factor. For that reason, correct or not, I’m won’t hold the lack of HD availability against the site. The more-recently added videos (I download WMVs) are at 720x540 at 1200kbps and 30fps. WMV Codec is 9. Videos uploaded a while ago (as far back as 2003) are lower resolution. The site (and all the other in the network) commits a sin that seems to be more common now: opening the scene page starts the streaming automatically. This presents the obvious, though easily fixed problem of being surprised when your speakers suddenly blare out the sounds of sex. That’s solved by turning your speakers off. But in my opinion the problem is bigger than that: the fact that the scene starts downloading as a stream hogs bandwidth and slows the downloading process. I used Free Download Manager successfully and had no issues with timeouts. Download speeds were excellent. The site is not without flaws. It is clearly an add-on to the network and not intended as a flagship site. The updates are sporadic. My biggest beef with the site is the size of it. VCA has a huge catalogue of titles so why not offer more and update more often? What’s worse is that many of the titles added when the site was new are bargain bin European compilations that Hustler put out. Other beefs are in how the DVDs are presented. Each DVD opens into a separate page that provides one thumbnail per scene and lists the star. Or that’s the plan anyway. At least 25% of the scenes don’t list a star. This doesn’t make sense since these are the guys who uploaded it. Why not make the site complete and make sure names are associated with every scene? In some cases, the thumbnails don’t even match the scene. I saw instances where, in a movie from the mid-1990s the thumbnails were clearly from a movie a decade newer. In several cases, the five or six thumbnails were even taken from the same newer scene. It just looks sloppy. There were some dead links for the highest resolution available which meant having to download a lower resolution. This isn’t a huge issue as I may have encountered a dozen of these dead links on the site. Many of the sort functions don’t work well. If you select to sort by “Pornstars,” for example, you’re given a list of pornstars on the entire network, not just on this site. What’s worse though, is that all you get is a brief bio – there are no links to scenes or photos on the site or network. TBP notes that there is a full trial. I can’t speak to that as I took the full membership but I wasn’t charged the $30 price listed there. I don’t know why, but I was only billed $20. The site features titles from the Reality Junkies / Mile High studio. All the Reality Junkies series’ listed on IAFD are represented on this site. There’s a good mix too, meaning that most people could find material they would like. Legal teens and cougars are both well represented. Series’ like Babysitter Diaries, Cougar’s Prey, Couples Seeking Teens, and Pornstar Athletics are all represented here. It seems that just about the only niche that is under-served is anal. For many, that might be a good thing, but for an anal fan it is a bit disappointing. The Reality Junkies studio is relatively new so you won’t find any ‘classics’ here. I downloaded the 480p videos and they come in at 720x400 at 2200kb/s. They use codec 8 and the videos play at 30fps. I don’t pretend to understand the technical bits of videos, but even though these numbers are lower than on other sites the scenes look great. The MP4s are available in five resolutions from 240p to 1080p. I’d prefer to download the HD stuff, but I hate the players that play MP4s. To further add to your choices, there are five resolutions available for mobile devices, also up to 1080p. There aren’t many other sites that offer such a wide variety of options. Pictures are available, but since this is a DVD site I didn’t download any. They’re decent quality at 1280x763 and there can be a lot of them per scene, but the deal-breaker on photos is that there doesn’t appear to be any zips. There are frequently hundreds of photos per scene so if you want all the photos be prepared to work for them. This is a really odd oversight for a site that gets everything else so right. There are some negatives to the site too, but each member will weigh these as they choose. By far the most serious negative to the site (for now, anyway) is the size of the site. I can’t say this for sure, but I assume that the updates add a scene like the other premium Fame sites and not a full DVD. Offsetting the small size is the TBP discounted price of $9.95. One caveat with that is you’ll want to remember to cancel your membership before the end of the month as it looks like it rebills at $30. Other minor negatives are that unlike most of the other Fame premium sites this one isn’t bundled with any other sites. That certainly isn’t fatal but it would be a better value if this membership gave you access to other Fame sites. The final negative, which is also in common with other Fame sites is that if you’re using a download manager you’ll find that the links time-out after about 10 minutes. Obviously any prospective member will have to decide if the value is here given the newness and size of the site, but for me the (current) lack of quantity is more than offset by the quality of the site and what it offers. The DVDs themselves have high production values with current A-list stars, and the site offers them to members through a simple and effective interface and high download speeds. To further add to the value, I’m not aware that this studio offers these videos on other sites. I’m with the members who think that whether a site is updating or not is just one factor in the value equation. The site is part of the Kink.com family of sites and as such it is offered as a stand-alone site so a membership here does not give you access to any other Kink sites. Being part of the Kink network the scenes are well shot with lighting, sound and editing all being in the top tier of adult sites. Whoever manages the technical stuff sure is a real whiz. (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself…) What certainly helps too is the female talent. There are many well-known porn stars on the site, such as Amber Rayne, Flower Tucci and Annie Cruz, and there are also a lot of lesser-known models. Many of these lesser-known models (to me, anyway) also appear on other Kink sites so I presume that they’re more known as fetish models rather than mainstream stars. The site is relatively small, offering only 31 shoots. The shoots are shorter in duration then most other Kink offerings, most being less than 30 minutes long. That certainly starts to move the value marker to making this a less than great value. Some of the scenes have a bit of a set-up where the models play a role, and others have no set up and just have people peeing on a woman. The one constant is that the scenes aren’t a peeing free-for-all: there is usually one female model who is the receiver. Having one ‘submissive’ model is really the only link that the site has with the BDSM roots of the Kink family tree. People looking for hardcore BDSM with peeing probably won’t find what they’re looking for here. Neither will people who want to see women peeing on men, because most Kink sites have dominant men and submissive women and that remains true here. Jpg386 commented that the site features “mostly a bunch of lesbo scenes where laughing girls pee on each other.” I don’t agree with that in that of the 31 scenes on the site only six are all-girl. The comment is correct, though, in that the mood in the scenes tends to be a lot lighter and less menacing than on other Kink sites. I’m not really sure why the director opted to be less BDSM-themed; it may be that Kink figured that the site was pushing the legal limits as it was and adding in a BDSM element might make the religious right go nuts. Or more nuts, I guess. Being a Kink site, the technical stuff is well done. Each scene offers a trailer, photos and video. Video is available as a stream or downloadable as a WMV (HD), WMV, MP4 (HD) and in sizes for mobile devices. I downloaded the WMV HD scenes and they come in at 1280x720 at 7200kb/s and 30fps. They’re in Codec 9. Subjectively they look great. The photos are available in two resolutions (800x533 and 1200x800). They’re available as singles or zipped. While these resolutions aren’t great, you have to consider that the most recent ones were shot at least three years ago when these would have been excellent quality. Which leads me to the biggest negative of the site… Pissing.com is no longer updating and hasn’t added a new scene in about three years. I can understand that a site may stop updating and I’m not going to fault a site owner for making a business decision to stop shooting for a site, but I do wish that Kink was a bit more open about the fact that the site is no longer active. Back when Kink stopped shooting for Water Bondage they had a disclaimer that the site was no longer updating (but it seems that they’re trying to revive it). Eventually that disclaimer was removed. Same for Pissing.com. To make matters worse, Kink stopped listing the dates of the shoots so it is almost impossible for a prospective member to know that the site is no longer adding new material. This seems strange for a company that otherwise does everything else right and has a reputation for treating their customers well. So is the site worth a look? I think so, but a person should consider the value for themselves. I’ve had memberships at similar themed sites before and can say that the Kink way of doing things means that Pissing.com is pretty much the number one site for number one. (Sorry again… that’ll be the last joke.) There are 31 great scenes that look good and are available in most ways a member would want them. I do hope that they’ll reactivate the site some day, and until then I do wish they’d be more open about the site’s status. Until they start filming again, they should lower the price to better reflect the true value of a small, inactive site.
