For every one like Evil Angel that does it well, there are ten that come up short. Club Red Light is lumped in with the majority of studio sites and continues the tradition of being mediocre. Most people will know the Red Light District studio well since they have been around for more than a decade and their material is widely available on DVD sites. As a mainstream porn studio they cover all of the regular niches. Their offerings are almost exclusively gonzo and are harder-edged. This really isn’t couples porn. The site markets itself as a network by creating different niche ‘sites.’ But since the scenes are all from RLD DVDs and are all available on the main page then it really can’t be treated as a network. (While CRL is the name of the network, it is also a separate site within the network.) Another caveat on updates: you’ll note that the last update on the entire site was three weeks ago. Many of the sites haven’t updated in months. I won’t be the one to call for last rites, but maybe we need a porn priest on speed dial. I really can’t understand why a studio who produces DVDs wouldn’t structure their website around those DVDs. To make matters worse, while some of the sites have some RLD series names, and the sites have scenes from that series, there are additional scenes in there too making it harder to sort. For others like me who have a large porn collection, not identifying the DVD title means that I inevitably downloaded a lot of scenes that I already had. Apart from not having the scenes associated with their respective DVDs, the site is laid out in a logical manner. The main site shows thumbnails for 24 scenes per page spanning all the ‘sites. Opening one of the thumbnails brings you to that scene’s page where you can stream, download the scene (if video is available) and the photos. There seems to be a point in March, 2008 when they started offering higher resolutions. Prior to that date the scenes were offered as WMVs in 640x480 and lower. I realize that a lot of these scenes weren’t filmed in good resolution so I can’t fault the site for this, but they are pretty poor quality. When higher resolutions were offered starting in 2008 they were first WMVs at 1280x720 at 4000 kb/s. A problem though, is that even though some of the scenes uploaded after 2008 are labelled “HD” on the thumbnail, they still only come in at 640x480. With file data not provided the best gauge for guessing resolution is file size. The last two years saw another change with the file type switching to MP4. For the past two years the files are offered as an “MP4 High” and an “MP4 Medium.” The “High” are 1920x1080 at 5000kb/s and 29fps. They look good, but not as crisp as on some other sites. The “Medium” are 960x540 at 3000kb/s and 29fps. I know this will sound really fussy on my part, but I do wish they offered 1280x720 to bridge the gap. While there are photos offered (and singles or zips) there are only a few low-res photos offered with each scene, and some of those are screencaps. The site supports download managers and I had no trouble with links timing out. Download speeds were good. I experienced a problem the first few days of my membership with the site crashing and giving me an “internal server error” message. Usually going back to the site and logging in resolved it. It hasn’t happened in the past few days so it may have been a temporary glitch. I found that I had downloaded several scenes where the video and audio were not in sync. It may have been that with bad luck I stumbled on the few like that, but it is more likely that this occurs in other scenes too. The bottom line is that this is a site that could have been great but isn’t. RLD makes some great porn but the cons really outweigh the pros here. Add to this that the site may be dying and I am certain that I won’t be back. The only people I’d recommend the site to would be a person who is just starting to buy and collect online porn and doesn’t already have many RLD titles. 01-03-14  06:46am Replies (6) Review 252 Hustler Mega Pass (0) 75.0 Status: Current Member for less than 1 month (at the time of review). Pros: - 1800 Hustler DVDs - Supports download managers - Many scenes are 1280x720 (bitrate varies) - Files offered as streaming or video - Files offered with some choice of type and resolution Cons: - Only the most recently uploaded scenes have good video quality (approximately 600 of the DVDs) - Not really a ‘network’ - Trial membership is now limited to streaming 5 scenes - Search function doesn’t work well - Sort function doesn’t work well - Scenes start streaming immediately – watch your speakers! - Lots of ads - Many DVDs have scenes missing Bottom Line: I’ll admit that this site probably hasn’t changed much since the last time I reviewed it, so the big difference in scoring and comments comes from how I’ve changed recently when it comes to collecting porn. I’ve recently deleted a lot of my collection because the quality was so poor and this site didn’t set a high bar for video quality. I think my approach to this site can be summed up by saying if you don’t care too much about quality and like lots of porn, get a membership here. If you prefer quality over quantity, the site is still worth a membership, but go into it with your eyes open as this is not a site that offers cutting-edge quality. If you’re like me and prefer quality over quantity, allow me to save you some time and frustration if you take a membership here. Any DVD or scene labeled as HD is fairly good quality, though it is not among the best on the ‘net. The resolution is 1280x720 and the bitrate is 3000kb/s. Scenes uploaded after 2010 (which is about one quarter of what’s available here) that are labeled as ‘Super’ quality also come in at 1280x720 and a 3000kb/s bitrate. These also look pretty good. (I don’t know why some are labeled HD even though the specs are the same as files not so labeled.) That’s the good news. The bad news is that the site must have changed codecs or made some amendments at some point in 2010 or 11 because even though the specs show 1280x720 and 3000 some of the scenes with those specs don’t look good. That’s bad because there is no obvious way to tell them apart other than watching each scene and deciding if the quality is good enough. The ugly news is that the majority of the videos uploaded are still 1280x720 (older videos are lower) but come in at lower bitrates of 1700 and lower. On a 24” monitor I found these scenes to be unwatchable. Dark colors showed lots of pixilation and even edges like arms looked blocky. Movement made them look worse, and let’s face it, sex (and therefore porn) without movement would be kind of pointless. I tried downloading both the mp4 and wmv versions but both were equally bad. The site does support download managers with long timeouts. There is no obvious download limit. The site does continue to update at what looks to be a scene per day. I can’t be certain because sorting the scenes or DVDs by latest added doesn’t work well. I did that and found newer scenes mixed in with scenes uploaded a week ago. At least the updates are dated so you can figure out what’s new. It also appears that as long as the scene was taped recently the quality will be good. If the upload is a ‘classic,’ the quality won’t be there. The site bills itself as a network, but it really isn’t in the true sense. The ‘sites’ are all listed on the main page but if you go to the main Hustler site you’ll get access to everything. One thing you’ll see lots of regardless of the site you’re on are ads. They aren’t obtrusive, and they aren’t pop-ups so I can live with them. If you’re thinking that you can join with the trial membership and get in, get what you want and get out, think again and read my comment on that. The search function works marginally well, but I found that it often returned results that weren’t even remotely related to my search. My final major beef with the site is that scenes are missing on many DVDs. In one example, Taylor Rain is on the box cover but her scene isn’t offered. This is frustrating if you’re hoping to find a specific scene. One quirk I found was that finding the member’s entrance was a real chore. The main page has links to join, but not for member’s to enter (that I could find anyway). The workaround was to go in through the back door using one of the ‘sites’ listed as being part of the network. This seems like an odd oversight. The bottom line is that this site can be a decent value for specific purposes. The site gives you access to Hustler’s best known series, Barely Legal, and if you like parodies Hustler shoots lots of them. The biggest problem is that while there are 1800 DVDs on the site, only about 600 of them have video quality that most collectors would find acceptable in 2013. That’s still a lot of porn though, so the value is still pretty good. Pros: - 39 Sites on the network - Some interesting niches - Streaming available - Downloads in at least two formats and three sizes - Pics and screencaps available - Most sites update regularly Cons: - Several sites update irregularly - Daily download limit (10GB +/- per day) - Download limit appears to be applied unevenly to members - ‘Cookie-cutter’ porn - Download manager (Free Download Manager) wasn’t supported Bottom Line: RK bills itself as “the World’s Best Adult Network” but by subjective and objective measures I don’t agree with that. It’s not a bad network, but it isn’t the world’s best. The network is made up of 39 themed sites. The usual porn themes are here, like big breasts, MILFs, and 18-year-old ladies, but there are also some fairly unique sites too. There are three sites that cater to scenes with multiple models in party settings (VIP Crew, In the VIP and Bikini Crashers). These are among my favourites but I can understand why others may not be interested in them. The sites vary in size, with the more mainstream sites having lots of material (some have over 500 scenes) and some of the niche sites have only a handful of scenes. Each site opens into a separate page that list the scenes with a large thumbnail for each. On the left of that page is a column of filters for sub-themes. The scenes usually have a unique name and the main star is also listed. Opening the page for each scene brings more details and tags. You can access screencaps and pictures (which I didn’t download so I can’t comment on them) and you can access the video in any of several ways. Streaming is available, as are downloads. Downloads are offered in a few different ways, usually as a WMV and MP4. MP4 is available in larger sizes and smaller sizes for handheld devices. For some reason, even the newer scenes are frequently broken down into shorter clips for easier download, though the full scene is also available. HD video is available on some scenes, though I didn’t download any because of the daily limit. RK has been around for a long time so the quality of their videos has obviously changed. Older videos are low quality, but I can’t fault the site for that because that was the standard back when they were shot. Most of the older scenes are only available in three or four clips, which also made sense back when they were uploaded. It would be nice if the site took the time to stitch them together into one full file now that most people have high-speed internet connections. The newer scenes (in WMV) still aren’t great quality: 640x480 @ 1600kb/s and 768x432 @ 1600 are common. Subjectively they aren’t bad, but they aren’t great either. Objectively, the site is decent, but not any better than many other networks. RK isn’t any better (or any worse) than places like Mofos and Porn Pros. In terms of quality they certainly can’t be compared to sites like ALS Scan and Diesel Access. Subjectively the network isn’t all that impressive. I’ll admit that a lot of that is personal taste because I’m not into large breasts and huge asses. Those attributes are better represented than most others. There are sites that cater to my tastes in smaller models between 18 and 22, and I will admit I like the number of relatively unknown models who appear here. One serious and unforgivable sin, and I realize that this is entirely subjective, is that one scene was mis-labeled. No big deal normally, but I joined the network specifically to see one scene: a Tanner Mayes scene that was categorized as anal. It might be called ‘anal’ because she has an anus, but no real anal sex occurs in the scene. I will admit that the guy does insert the head of his dick a couple of times, but that doesn’t count as anal sex. Easily the biggest annoyance with RK is their daily download limit. While the limit itself would be annoying enough, they actually make it worse but applying it randomly. The limit is described in the membership contract using vague language so I emailed the support staff to ask for some clarification but never received a reply. Why bother having a ‘contact us’ button if you’re not actually going to respond to member’s questions? On several days I was cut off from downloading at less than the 10GB 24-hour limit. On other days I downloaded well in excess of the limit. There are PU members who report never having had a limit imposed on them. A site can certainly impose whatever conditions they want, but those conditions should be clear and applied equally to all members. And in 2011 10GB limit is absurdly low. Another annoying choice that RK made is to not support download managers. I use Free Download Manager to queue up scenes that I want to download so I don’t have to sit at the computer for an hour or more, but FDM wouldn’t work with this site. I can’t say how it works with other managers, but if they bar one I’d guess they bar them all. I’d recommend this site for someone who really wants a particular scene or is really into a specific niche that is represented here. But… anyone who does join should be aware that they MAY have a download limit imposed on them and that download managers don’t work. So unless you have a real desire to see a certain scene or model here, RK has nothing special to offer. 12-26-11  12:17pm Replies (15) Review 254 Mary Alicia (0) 75.0 Status: Current Member for less than 1 month (at the time of review). Pros: - Very good-looking, natural model - Site appears to update (but that may end – see below) - Supports download managers - Simple design - Pics and vids available - Pics available as zips - Bills through CCBill Cons: - Not full nudity (T+A only) - The website doesn’t do the model justice - Resolutions for photos and videos are poor - Small site - Material seems to be removed periodically - Not a good value - Many (25+) dead links - No options for files sizes or types Bottom Line: First let me get this out of the way: I joined this site because I like Mary Alicia’s look. She’s petite, small breasts, beautiful bum, beautiful face (with freckles!), and captivating eyes. I have no complaints about Mary Alicia herself. The website, however, needs work. I can’t tell how old the site is because it appears that not all material is kept on the site. There is a link for ‘archived galleries” where older sets are listed. That’s not a bad idea, but since you can’t actually access those sets what’s the point? Server space is pretty cheap these days, and the whole site has less than 5GB on it, so why remove material? The site reports that at any given time there are between 70 and 100 photo sets available, though there are closer to 200 now, which is a mix of updated sets and older sets. I can say with some certainty that the site has been around since at least 2002 since one gallery announced that it was number 900 since that year. That also means that Mary Alicia may be pushing 30 now, but she doesn’t look it. The site does appear to update, though not on a set schedule. The sets are dated by month and day, but not by year so it is impossible to tell how old the sets are. Within each picture set there are varying numbers of photos, though to have more than 50 photos in a set is rare. The sets are described on the site, but the set name is non-descriptive so if you find some sets you like you’ll have to rename them on your own. The pictures are available as singles or as a zip file. The biggest letdown for the photos is the quality of the images. The resolutions would be considered acceptable by standards a few years ago but by today’s standards they’re barely average. The best resolution I could find on the site was 968x1400. Most are 968x1300. Maybe I’m asking for too much by wanting a higher resolution. It is also possible that the photos were taken some years ago and were high res then. Videos are available though the problem with most of them is the camera. Apparently Mary Alicia does (did?) a regular webcast and most of the videos are simply captures of those webcasts. The resolution on those is just 320x240 at 140kb/s. There are a handful of videos that are posted at 640x480 at 2100kb/s, but those are rare. Several of the videos are just slideshows of photos. There are less than 40 videos on the site. For all the photos and videos there are no options for files sizes. For videos, the only format is wmv. One choice that Mary Alicia has made will likely limit her audience. This is definitely a softcore site. While there are other women on the site, there is only posing. Don’t look for hot girl-on-girl action here. And don’t expect to see Mary Alicia’s naughty bits either. I can understand a choice to not do b/g or g/g sex on camera, and I can even understand an unwillingness to do ‘spread shots,’ but if she’s gone this far, it seems odd to not let us have a peek at the Holiest of Holies. While I don’t understand it, I can admit that it actually does add something to her mystique. The site itself is very simple, but it doesn’t need to be complex. There are links to photos and videos on separate pages. That’s pretty much it. There are ‘bonus’ links too, where Mary Alicia has a forum, some FAQs, and a few more photoshoots. This site’s updating days may be coming to and end. Mary Alicia posted a message recently stating that she is pregnant and hasn’t yet decided if she will continue. If she doesn’t, I hope the site continues as she is a very beautiful model. If she does, the guys with a pregnancy fetish may want to take note. I’ll admit that it is entirely possible that this is outdated information as no years are given with the updates. She could have been pregnant two years ago for all I know. So would I recommend this site? I would if you meet a certain criterion: if you go to the tour page and find that Mary Alicia is just your type (as was the case for me) then go ahead and join. With CCBill as the biller, you can be confident in security and ease of cancelling. At least you can go in informed and knowing the site’s limits. I don’t want to downplay this as an option: Mary Alicia is VERY good looking and I’m sure many people would agree with that. I certainly don’t regret taking a membership, but I wish there was more material. If, however, you prefer a different look in your models, then don’t bother. Read that first if you want to join this site. My review will attempt to expand on a few things. I’m not normally a big fan of solo girl sites. I find them boring and repetitive and they tend to have a shorter lifespan than many other kinds of sites. I’ve also been burned by a couple (notably Little April and Little Summer) due to the terrible quality of the videos. Then one day I noticed the picture that accompanies exotics4me’s posts on the forum and I was hooked. Pamela is an amazing looking young South or Central American model. She can’t be much over 18 in many of the photos and videos and her youthful appearance is further accentuated by her braces. She appears solo in many scenes and also does a lot of girl-girl scenes. Both the pictures and videos are well lighted and shot. The other models she appears with in the girl-girl scenes are also attractive in the same way that Pamela is. There is one boy-girl hardcore scene available, but in a greedy marketing twist the site sells that separately. I like Pamela, but not enough to spend $20 for a 13 minute video of her having sex. Exotics4me notes that several of the videos feature some exhibitionism. That’s correct, but I’d characterize it as ‘exhibitionism-lite.’ It isn’t promoted as being one of the reasons for joining, but there are some scenes of her teasing a bit in public places. But the exhibitionism is fairly tame and I wouldn’t recommend taking a membership for that reason alone. The site is part of a small network of that includes access to six similar sites. The additional sites are also small and don’t appear to be updating. At least two of the sites (Selena Spice and Spice Twins) don’t even feature full nudity. They’re topless only with a thong or some other covering on the naughty bits. The additional models are attractive and young, but I think that Pamela is the best looking of all of them. The technical bits are pretty simple given the small size of the site. There are 68 photo sets (zips available, 798x1200 resolution) and 108 videos. The videos are available in three formats: Super HQ, MP4 and Low Speed Video. I downloaded only the “Super HQ” size and found that while they may have been industry standard when they were shot, they certainly aren’t now. They’re all 720x480 with the bitrates ranging from 2000 to 8700kbps. The technical description mostly applies to the other sites on the network too. Pamela Spice is definitely good looking and fits my usual style of model that I like. If you like young looking models you might be happy with a membership. The girl-girl stuff, the minimal exhibitionism and the additional sites all contribute to the value of the membership, but given that there are no updates I wouldn’t call this a good value. Pros: - Offers a wide range of movies from their studio - Full-access trial - Membership gives access to a network of sites - Multiple download options - Decent quality and download speeds - Good variety of videos available - Many older titles (from the 90s) available Cons: - Not the full Legend catalogue of videos - Some content is shared between the sites in the network Bottom Line: The Legend Video site certainly looks like it is the official site of the well-known studio, but I have my doubts. While the quality of the site is very good, I would hope that a big studio like Legend could do a better job and would also make more of their catalogue available. But it might actually be an official site since most other studios don’t do a spectacular job of their own sites and also aren’t very generous with their titles. Having said that though, this is still a good site. It is well organized and finding specific titles isn’t a big problem. Many of the titles available aren’t widely available on other DVD sites so this is a good opportunity to access them. One thing I particularly liked was the opportunity to access some of the older Legend series’ from the 1990 and earlier in this decade. Series like American Cocksucking Championship, All About Ass and POV Casting Couch. However, while there are a lot of older titles available, there aren’t too many of their newer titles on this site. That’s another reason why I suspect that this isn’t a Legend-operated site. I suspect that they’ve licenced some of their older material to a third party. The site is reasonably well organized with menu selections that help you narrow movies down by theme, or series name. I particularly like being able to sort be series. There are several download options available and during my membership I found download speeds to be slightly faster than I’ve seen with other adult sites. Not blazing fast, but somewhat faster than the industry norm. One big advantage to this site is that it offers a full trial. For $4.95 you get unlimited access for two days. This is a great option if you’re only looking for a few titles and get in, get them and get out. I’ve used this option with this site and cancelled my trial almost immediately to avoid the recurring charges and the membership remains valid for the two days (unlike some other trials we’ve heard about from other PUs). This site is also part of a small network. I’ve had memberships at several of these sites in the past but haven’t really spent much time at them so I can’t really comment. They certainly add to the value of the site though. The bottom line is that this site offers a lot of older (5+ years old, approximately) Legend titles that are not widely available elsewhere. The site is easy to use and the download speeds are good. The site is a moderate value for the monthly fee when you take into account the other sites on the network but is an exceptional value when you take advantage of the full trial option. Cons: - Small site (but it may grow) - Pics are available, but no zips - Videos are broken down into smaller files (approx. 35MB each) - No option for full-length videos - HD is available, but you have to pay extra for HD VOD - Download managers don’t work (I use Free Download Manager but not to bring in multiple files at the same time – just to queue up files so I don’t have to sit at the computer and click “save as” all evening) Bottom Line: Excellent Premise, Flawed Execution I’ve never been so torn in writing a site review. This site provides material that is almost impossible to find anywhere else – U.S. full public nudity. The site is small now (21 photo sessions with each session having shoots at four to six locations) but it does appear to be updating. I’m not sure of the update schedule. If I figure it out I’ll post an update. I give full marks to the models on this site – they put themselves at some risk of getting caught. The material itself is very good if you’re into this thing. If not, it will seem tame and even boring. My only complaint about the material is that the editors have managed to strip away a lot of the titillation too. The site presents women nude in public but never shows the set-up or the girls’ nervousness, which can be a big part of the draw for some people into this niche. The sense of daring is absent, much like it is on European sites. It shouldn’t be absent here though, since the models are at some risk doing this in the U.S. Otherwise, the women are beautiful and they get fully nude in public. But… the owners or managers went and fucked it all up. This site is a credit to websites of 10 years ago. There are pics, but no zips. There are videos, but they are low resolution and broken down into smaller files. Download managers are not supported. They claim that HD videos are available, but you’ll have to pay extra for those once you’re inside the site. There are things I’m willing to excuse: the site is new so there won’t be a lot of material yet. I understand that. But why put the models and crew at risk and then present the material in such a poor way? This is an under-served niche and those of us who like it would support a well done site. With changes, this could be a great site. For now, this site is only a good value if you are a die-hard nude-in-public fan. If, as the grow the site, they improve the video quality and provide full-length videos they could be an amazing site in a poorly-served niche. UPDATE March 30, 2010: in the one month of my membership I saw no obvious updates. I regularly join mega sites and like those, but I also like joining new niche sites to see what they have and support the site owners who have taken a risk and opened a new site. This is a niche I like so it seemed like a good fit and the TBP discount coupled with a reputable biller took a lot of the risk out of the equation. I’ll address the gorilla in the room that often occurs with new sites: this one is still very small with just seven scenes currently available. A new scene is added once a week so it will be a long time growing too. I realize that for many people having a site this small would be an instant deal breaker and I’d agree with that if the site aimed at the middle of the porn market. But it’s different, or at least should be, with niche sites. Unfortunately the site missed the target on the niche and created their Achilles heel. The problem with the scenes is that they fall on the tame side for this niche. The reason I think that is a problem is that with a name like Punish Teens they are not likely to get artcore buyers interested and for fans of this niche these are about the most tame I’ve seen. This isn't Kink or Society SM (and I realize that this site doesn’t market itself as a BDSM site) but it is likely that a prospective member would expect more than the light bondage and D/s play found here. These teens aren't really being punished as much as they’re being mildly reprimanded. The scenes themselves have high production values and appear to be exclusive. Six of the scenes have American models while one appears to be Russian or eastern European. The lighting and editing are top level. The site itself is simple and effective, but with seven scenes why would be it be anything else? The main page has a large photo taken from the scenes and the options for streaming or downloading are all right there. There are several download options: MP4s are available in 1920x1080 at 10,000kb/s, 960x540 at 2500kb/s and 640x360 at 700kb/s. One WMV is available at 960x540 at 2500kb/s. This may be a bit nit-picky, but there is too big a gap between the highest resolution and the next highest. I’m not normally one to criticize having options, but it seems to me that they would do well to offer a 1280x720 option to bridge that wide gap. Photos are also available (photos and screencaps) as singles or zips. The photos are 1350x900 and they look okay but photo collectors aren't likely to be overly impressed by those specs. One thing that does deserve a comment is that the tour page is grossly misleading. A prospective member sees 42 thumbnails on the main page which would seem to indicate that there are 42 or more scenes inside. I read the TBP page so I was aware that this was misleading and didn’t have a nasty surprise when I joined. Further, the site uses the annoying tactic of sending you to the join page wherever you click. There is no tour that might better reflect the true size of the site. I used a download manager and had no problems with it. I didn’t encounter any download limits but that isn't a conclusive answer since I downloaded all seven scenes in HD and that was only 15GB of data. This is purely subjective and I won’t factor it into the score, but there is only one anal scene here. The update schedule there is sporadic with past updates being posted as frequently as one every three weeks and sometimes just once every five weeks or so. I think it’s fair to say that the others are now dead. I think given the fact that only two sites MAY be updating it is fair to say that no one should join this network expecting to stick around for a while to get more updates. So the question then becomes is this network worth a membership at all? Prior to joining this site I knew that there was an affiliation, but was unsure as to how close the connection was. The connection is close enough that this site and Facial Abuse use the same sets, the same male ‘talent’ and many of the same models appear. First the good news: the scenes here are pretty interesting if you like this stuff. This is not porn that you’d sit down and watch with your wife or girlfriend unless you wanted her to leave you. The males in these scenes go out of their way to make the women feel degraded and abused, both physically and emotionally. For those readers who aren’t into BDSM material there is a vast difference between BDSM and abuse. Sites like those on the Kink.com network might be seen as abusive by the uninitiated but it is clear that the women are consenting and enjoying what is being done to them. At Kink, the models they use seem to genuinely get off on being submissive and those dominating them are actually giving those submissive models a lot of pleasure. Not so with Anal Recruiters. There is little here if your preferences are earlier than the mid-1980s. The site is relatively small, offering only 111 DVDs as of this writing. It appears that the site stopped updating in 2010 but may have started again recently since there was one update per month in the first three months of this year. There is no update for April. The site is obviously a video site, so no pictures are offered that I could find. The primary page is divided into two main segments: one for individual scenes (listed by performer) and one for DVDs. Clicking on the performer in the scene section obviously opens that scene for viewing or downloading. Clicking on a DVD cover open that DVD’s page where you get one thumbnail of the star per scene. Clicking on that thumbnail opens the scene page for viewing or downloading. Streaming options are for MP4, FLV and WMV. You can also choose the quality of the stream as Basic, Medium, High or Super. Super is not often available. When you roll over the download button the options for that scene appear in a dropdown menu. Downloads are most commonly available as WMVs but sometimes there are MP4s on offer too. This site has very little in high-resolution on offer. My suspicion is that because we’re dealing with ‘classics’ the quality of the originals is a limiting factor. For that reason, correct or not, I’m won’t hold the lack of HD availability against the site. The more-recently added videos (I download WMVs) are at 720x540 at 1200kbps and 30fps. WMV Codec is 9. Videos uploaded a while ago (as far back as 2003) are lower resolution. The site (and all the other in the network) commits a sin that seems to be more common now: opening the scene page starts the streaming automatically. This presents the obvious, though easily fixed problem of being surprised when your speakers suddenly blare out the sounds of sex. That’s solved by turning your speakers off. But in my opinion the problem is bigger than that: the fact that the scene starts downloading as a stream hogs bandwidth and slows the downloading process. I used Free Download Manager successfully and had no issues with timeouts. Download speeds were excellent. The site is not without flaws. It is clearly an add-on to the network and not intended as a flagship site. The updates are sporadic. My biggest beef with the site is the size of it. VCA has a huge catalogue of titles so why not offer more and update more often? What’s worse is that many of the titles added when the site was new are bargain bin European compilations that Hustler put out. Other beefs are in how the DVDs are presented. Each DVD opens into a separate page that provides one thumbnail per scene and lists the star. Or that’s the plan anyway. At least 25% of the scenes don’t list a star. This doesn’t make sense since these are the guys who uploaded it. Why not make the site complete and make sure names are associated with every scene? In some cases, the thumbnails don’t even match the scene. I saw instances where, in a movie from the mid-1990s the thumbnails were clearly from a movie a decade newer. In several cases, the five or six thumbnails were even taken from the same newer scene. It just looks sloppy. There were some dead links for the highest resolution available which meant having to download a lower resolution. This isn’t a huge issue as I may have encountered a dozen of these dead links on the site. Many of the sort functions don’t work well. If you select to sort by “Pornstars,” for example, you’re given a list of pornstars on the entire network, not just on this site. What’s worse though, is that all you get is a brief bio – there are no links to scenes or photos on the site or network. TBP notes that there is a full trial. I can’t speak to that as I took the full membership but I wasn’t charged the $30 price listed there. I don’t know why, but I was only billed $20. I don’t know if that was a special offer or whether that’s the price now. If this were a stand-alone site I couldn’t recommended it. I joined the network specifically to get access to Ass Smoothie because the premise intrigued me. The set up is that a girl (usually a well known porn star) is asked to make a smoothie in a blender and then she’s put in the pile-driver position, a speculum is inserted to open her ass and then the smoothie is poured in. Then, to complete the weirdness, she squats over a glass or other container and squeezes out the drink, which she then drinks. If this is something that might interest you it is well done. And let’s face it, the internet is not overburdened with ass smoothie sites. Now, three years later, I’m rethinking both of those positions. I’ve scored it lower because it now does more wrong than right, and when a ‘network’ also offers one main site where all their material is available I now view those niche ‘sites’ as being more like tags for sorting. I really don’t recall what the site looked like or how it was laid out three years ago when I was last a member but it now comes across as wanting to be a competitor to Videobox. If that’s true it misses the mark by a wide margin. MA has many of the weaknesses of VB without having any of its strengths. The site currently has 7,475 DVDs uploaded. They also show 39,745 scenes as being available. For a DVD-based site they have a serious flaw in that if you open a scene it isn’t linked in any way to the DVD where it’s from and there is no information the DVD either. It appears that all the scenes are on DVDs but I can’t say that for certain. I wouldn’t join on the expectation that you’ll get access to the DVDs AND get access to a lot of scenes too. I don’t think the site works that way though it isn't obvious. (I also have to admit that while it appears that all the scenes offered in the niche sites are taken from DVDs on the main site I can’t be certain that they all are. The way all the sites are structured makes that determination impossible. The effect may be that the site looks much larger than it really is.) While the numbers of DVDs (and/or scenes) is impressive they only have 140 DVDs in HD. Where no HD is offered there are four resolutions of MPEG4 files available and listed as bitrates: 2000, 750, 500 and ‘portable.’ For the few HD scenes here those are offered as 1080 and 720 (1920x1080 6000kb/s and 1080x720 4000kb/s, respectively). The highest bitrate scenes in SD come in at 640x480 and 2000kb/s. But with the way the site doesn’t link scene selections with the DVDs they’re from it can be a little hard to tell. If sorting by DVD it appears that a DVD hasn’t been added in almost three months but when sorting by scene the update schedule is better. When you contrast that with VB’s upload of five DVDs per day MA comes up short. One weakness that this site and VB share is an over-reliance on compilations. It’s less acute here at MA but it is still obvious. MA has a broad tag system for selecting scenes with approximately 115 niches tagged. The site supports download managers and I had no problem with links timing out, though with the file sizes being so small that shouldn’t be an issue anyway. I also found no download limits were imposed. One advantage that MA has over its competition is that they offer porn in a lot of niches that aren't widely available on other similar sites. For example, they offer a lot of black-themed titles. Not interracial, but actually black-themed. Also, there is what I would call ‘senior porn.’ Not old men fucking young women or vice versa, but actually titles where all the talent is older. Finally, the site offers some gay material too, which seems odd on a straight-oriented site. The bottom line is that I’d only recommend this site to get access to some specific titles or studios that aren't offered elsewhere. There is really only one reason why I joined, and that’s to get access to a scene by a model I like who has only done a small amount of stuff. The fact that the site isn’t terribly expensive at $20 and billed through CC Bill sealed the deal. The site is very small, with only nine videos and seven photo sets offered. While that’s definitely small, you need to keep in mind that many of the scenes are well over an hour long and one falls just short of two hours. The site has a very narrow (and unique) focus: girls at a gym, solo, who begin a workout, strip off their clothes while working out and complete the workout while naked. There is little variation: there is one scene with two girls with some sex, and one scene is shot outdoors, but other than that it follows the same formula. Consider this more a nudist site than a sex site. The scenes are undated so I can’t determine what update schedule, if any, exists. The site allows member comments on the scenes and the most recent scene has comments. Yesterday when I checked the comments the most recent said it was posted three months ago. Today it says it was posted on December 2, but doesn’t give a year. I think it is safe to assume that if the site is updating there is no set schedule beyond glacial. The site offers videos in three resolutions: 1920x1080 (9000 kb/s), 1080x720 and 640x360. While I found most of the video to be crisp and clear, I did find in some of the videos that where there is fast movement the edges become slightly pixilated. I don’t understand the tech side of this so I don’t know if this is something the site could even avoid. A unique feature is that you can download an ISO version that can be burned to a DVD to watch on TV. The site permits download managers for queuing scenes and zips. The photos are available as singles or zips and in two resolutions: 3744x5616 and 1200x800. The high-res pics look incredibly good. If you’re a photo collector these might be worth joining to get.
