Thanks very much also Claypaws for the extra info on Riley, looks like she has a few other things I might like to check out, love the makeup and her look on ftv though, they make her look perfect. Models can often look quite different on other sites, I haven't checked any of these other sites so figures crossed so looks equally as cute.

Thanks for the well thought out reply.

Let me add that I dont dislike the hardcore action. I actually really like it. The sex really isnt much different from what you see on NA or RK. Most of their sex really isnt "nasty" sex. The main difference is the production value. Karups hardcore stuff is right to the point...no real lead up...just gonzo porn for the most part. That honestly doesnt bother me that much because the action on Karups, for the most part, is good. The bland settings and the overall cheapness of the scenes is my issue. Like I said, they do all their scenes in basically the same place and it just feels really cheaply done. Even if they are mainly a picture site, they are still offering this, and I think they should put a bit more effort into it.

The download manager issue isnt a huge deal, but I tried on both Chrome and Firefox with 3 different DMs and it didnt work, so I just did the "save as" method.

And the playing the files in parts isnt my issue. Its having to download each part individually that annoys me...especially since my DM didnt work there.

Anyway...my score of 78 I think is still solid. As I said, I think any fan of the genre should consider giving it a month, but as you alluded to, depending on specific preferences, its another story how long certain people might wanna stay for.

Well, I cetainly hope so too; although a resurgence of photosites is very unlikely in the current climate.

I think you raise valid points on the networking issue.

TBH so few sites are available in my niche these days I doubt there would be enough for a network anyway.

There are currently 1470 models on there that I calculated.

Agree to disagree on the network front. Im not complaining about it too much. Just saying that is what keeps me from staying longer than a month, because other places offer multiple sites for cheaper, and has more hardcore video stuff.

I LIKE pictures, but they certainly arent my main attraction. And considering they videos are a step below other sites...thats why my score is below what you guys give it.

Like I said, its a good site, and possible a great site for you picture hounds. For me...its a site worth checking out, but not a site Id be a regular member of like I am with other sites.

From the net:

Wilmington, Delaware experienced the loss of many jobs after World War II, mostly due to it becoming less utilized as a shipping location. To address this matter, the state legislators sought a way to bring new business into the state, starting in the late 1970s. Led primarily by the Governor Pierre DuPont, in the early 1980s, Delaware attempted to lure large banks away from New York and other large financial companies by dramatically redrafting tax laws for banking industries. Laws also changed to allow banks to charge any interest they wished on credit cards.

Several banks, among them Bank of America and Chase, were inspired by Wilmington’s flexible laws to relocate at least their credit card companies to Wilmington. The ability to charge more interest meant that they could offer credit to less credit-worthy customers. Though big banks moved their credit card companies, the response was even greater than DuPont at first estimated. Many smaller banks also set up shop in Wilmington, to take advantage of being able to charge much higher interest rates, while paying lower taxes on their profits.

Since the enactment of liberal interest rate laws and low taxes, Wilmington has become one of the most attractive cities in the US to set up credit card companies. Other states and cities may have caps on interest charged, and in fact the US congress has even attempted to create lower interest rates, and cap fees and interest. This strategy has not worked, and Congress’ response was lukewarm at best, placing the interest cap at no more than 30%.

In 1988, laws in Delaware protecting credit card companies were made even stronger. During a period where hostile takeovers were becoming standard, Delaware changed its laws to make sure that most Delaware companies would not be subject to this process. The new laws meant any one attempting to take over a company would have to own 85% of its stock, or with a majority of stock holding would have to wait three years before initiating takeover proceedings. Companies stationed in Delaware were thus better protected than in other states, strengthening the position of any bank or credit card companies that created their charters within the state.

Today, there are several major credit card companies stationed in Wilmington. These include Bank of America, Chase, Barclays (which used to be Juniper), and ING Direct. A number of smaller credit card companies also have their home base in Delaware. What this means for the consumer, especially if you’re sifting through a lot of credit card offers, is that you’ll find numerous ones coming from Delaware. You may pay higher interest rates, especially if your credit is not solid. With the luxury of good credit, you may want to shop around for the best credit card offers, especially those from states with laws less likely to favor the credit card industry.

Thanks for the explanation.

I think you gave some convincing arguments for the legal and financial reasons for being headquartered in the U.S.

I dimly remember that years ago, credit card companies and other corporations would be incorporated in Delaware (in the US), for financial and legal reasons, because Delaware had laws more favorable to business than most other states. Even though those corporations did little business in Delaware.

Excellent point about sets being released over the course of years. Sometimes you can pinpoint the date of a shoot by body modification - for instance, Kate of Kate's Playground, had a piercing in her back that became infected, had to be removed and she had a small, but easily visible, scar there after the piercing was removed. So the "before" and "after" were easy to identify, but sets with the piercing were released, mixed with post-piercing sets, over a long period of time.

"Have you ever seen any exif data in a MET set?"

I'm not technically inclined.

I look at a photo (or video) and see whether I enjoy it or not. I pay very little attention to the technical specifications, although I do realize they can have an impact on my enjoyment.

I usually like photos that are clear and in focus. The same with videos.

I was merely trying to make a comment (and joke) that a few models barely seem to age over a period of 5 years or more. Most models do age quite noticeably once they are no longer teenagers.

But your explanation of a photographer shooting multiple sets of a particular model and then those sets being posted over a long period of time seems reasonable.

Occasionally I will find a new set of a model I like, and realize it was photographed years ago, because the model appears so much like she did when she was just starting out. The posting date of the set might be recent, but the set was photographed much earlier. That is different from when a site re-dates a set because they are trying to show they are posting new content, which is a lie.

When sites give a content date, that should normally mean the date the content was first posted at that site.

But even here, it's not always simple. Because some sites, when they give an updated version of some content, because it's in higher resolution or some other form of improved version, will re-date that content to the date it's currently posted.

I feel like a dog chasing its own tail.

I admire your way with words. Clear and to the point.

Can I copy what you wrote in the photographer instructions?

Yes I would like to get the photographers to do many of these things. One of the things that is hard is getting the girl to have a natural but sexy look without overdoing it. This is not something every girl can do when they are brand new and excited about shooting but a bit nervous.

You should shoot yourself, we are seeing more models from UK recently!

Thanks
Captain

Claypaws,

That is one of the most detailed reviews I have ever written. Thanks for taking the time to give it such an honest opinion.

I am going to take your advice about the photos having to match the videos too much. Just a few days ago I was talking to some of our photographers and I agree that it is making the photos not as good as they can be. That is something we can work on.

I am not sure if we will go as far to keep all toys out of the pictures but I think still can improve on that a ton to where it no longer seems an issue. I hope to find the right balance of also pleasing the members who like to see toys.

You are correct that the photographer notes are outdated. New stuff has been put in there but older stuff not removed. Lately we have been doing a lot more one on one training as well as screencasts and video training. I am hoping there will be some improvement coming up on that.

Thanks
Captain

I didn't have winzip and looked into it but from what I can see they want about £25 for that programme so I went with your second suggestion the 7zip. Got it installed and working fine so problem solved, thanks very much for the advice. I'm also finding the 7zip is a lot faster than the windows default extraction tool so its going to save me a lot of time as well.

What I'm try to say is that with a short pictorial, 10 to 20 photos or less, but with accompanying personal story, the photos, and the model herself, gained meaning.

Today's photoshoots have far more photos per set, but the story is lacking, and the photos have less impact.

Other factors enter in as well. With 10 to 20 photos in a pictorial, the editing/choosing of the actual photos was more important. And I remember savoring each fine photograph like a fine dish.

Today, I go through a single photoshoot like I'm slurping down garbage, hoping that a few photos will stand out and give me pleasure.

The models today are just as physically lovely, if not more so, than the models of 50 years ago. And there are certainly more of them.

But I'm glad that some sites, like X-art and Diesel, are trying to put an erotic or sensual or quality element back into porn.

I started looking at nude magazines in the 1960s and 1970s, first with Playboy, then with Penthouse. Obviously the pictures were paramount. But the accompanying personal stories made the models more real and meaningful, even if the "facts" were sometimes doctored.

Hey there thanks so much for your help, it worked! Turns out a RealPlayer add-on/extension was causing the issue, and then Firefox said that extension was known to cause issues with Firefox anyway. I disabled that and it worked fine. In fact I've now uninstalled RealPlayer completely and touch wood, my browser seems much more stable now!

Really, really appreciate your help!

Wow, thanks for the really helpful reply, I appreciate you taking so much trouble!
Actually I do find Firefox has been crashy for a while, but it kind of comes and goes and this is the only site which crashes it 100% of the time.

I keep meaning to reinstall Firefox totally - reinstalling it but with my old settings saved doesn't help - or move to another browser, but none of the other browsers I've tried really suit me - I prefer a old-fashioned layout, and the others are too streamlined and minimalist for me, can't find anything.

Also I don't want to lose all my bookmarks and passwords but I know that's just laziness!

I'll try what you suggest - it might turn out it solves my Firefox issues overall!

All of the porn index sites are useful in tracking down a model's appearances. I have a weakness for Eastern European models. Also Japanese models.

Or any other model I find attractive. Lol.

I clicked the join link today and got directed to Segpay, last time I checked a few weeks ago when I was interested I got Brazzers own dodgy billing company so didn't sign up. If you go directly to Epoch's site, click on "shop Epoch" then "adult sites" and search for Twistys you can find it there. Cheapest option looks to be around £20 (GBP) a month through Epoch so more expensive than the TBP/PU price.
