I take the phrase "ability to act" to mean "can act." With that, I say "yes." I can't see how a scene would be enhanced by an inability to act. It would be obvious and distracting.

Some models have the ability to act, or at least control their expressions, which can make a scene more real and hotter.
Like others have said, my vote on this poll is not being recorded.
Maybe I need an upgraded membership?
With posting privileges that are recorded by the PU site?

It helps make a scene more special for sure, but you need acting skills as well as knowing how to flirt and turn people on. Elena Koshka, Riley Reid and Cherie Deville are all very strong at both in my opinion.

I agree with elephant. Usually, acting isn't as important as knowing how to tease and flirt. I think Veronica Ricci is really hot, because she is an actress. Also, I doubt most porn stars even give a s**t. It's all an act. Without acting, it would be like crash dummies laying there and getting off. I'd rather see them pretending to enjoy it. I've seen enough sex scenes where they look like they'd rather be counting their cash or shopping.
Also, solo performances are so much better with acting. But it has to be good enough for suspended-disbelief. Terrible acting is just a distraction.

If the scene is more than gonzo then acting can make or break the scene. There are some pornstars who are better at it than others. Riley Reid comes to mind.

What I've found is that I can't vote in a poll from the PU home page, but I can if I click "Results" or "Replies" to get into the specific poll and then vote there.
The counter for the replies isn't working on the home page either. Funny how this stuff goes awry all by itself, it would seem. Is it my browser? My system? Did someone accidentally alter the coding on the PU site?
It would be nice if the problem were finally addressed. It's been going on this way for a while.

Bad acting can be overlooked, but good performing is essential. Unless you dig amateur, where the reality and the performance aspects are blurred.
