Like others here, I have put together pieces over the years. PSU is over 4 years old, but still doing the job while the majority of the parts are from September of 2007 (when my home-built system gave up the ghost).

Would I be denied if I asked if this website is about porn content or if this website solely discusses overall computer hardware quality?! :)

I mean, no offense to this poll but what's the use discussing computer quality when porn iz phucked up!!! My goal isn't to obtain hard drives that download phucked up porn faster... NO WAY MAN!!! I'll just get disappointed faster!!! >:(

My primary rig was built in August of '06. My secondary rig (which is operable but not in use right at the moment) is a mix of parts - one of the hard drives dates back to 2001 - the cpu, mobo, memory, psu, other hdd drive and the optical drives from 2002 and the case, video card, and liquid cooling components are all from 2005.
I'll probably be replacing the psu and case of the current rig soon and add a blu-ray drive and another hard drive.

Mine is coming onto 4 years old now and there is very little I can not do with it. It works great as a hard drive machine. I have 15 on it now, but can handle 27 currently. A few of them are in my newest machine. My newest is designed for recording true HD video. Recording 720p compressed takes about 1 GB per minute. Just imagine 1080 :)
I say this thoughy, having a faster computer does not make you download faster, my Pentium 233 can download just as fast as anything. I have never seen anyone with an internet connection that can outrun a hard drive. Unles you have a OC12, I do not see hardware limiting downloads. Unless of course you run out of room!!
Although, hardware does matter when it is time to playback a 8 Mbit/s video. I have found a few places with those, they look phenomenal!

I'm also a hard drive junkie. Before drives took those wonderful leaps in size and all we had were 120 giggers, I started wondering what I'd do when I got to Z. Everything I've ever read said Z was the limit. So I'm really curious how you can have 27 hard drives on one computer when there are only 26 letters in the alphabet.

Assuming you are referring to my old laptop. Yes it actually does do well considering. Granted it cant keep up with a new SATA drive or especial fiber channel, but I have never been somewhere that it would not keep up just downloading. Of course it cant do much else!

Haha - well I just assumed everybody would know that the addition of another hard drive would be to house more porn. Plus with all the HD Porn sites out now - upgrading my display technology to HD would benefit that as well. On the surface - indeed the response wasn't porn related, but I think there was an understood subtext :-P
