Drooler (Disabled) Windows Media by default, but I'll use whatever is available. Have used Flash Player and also Quicktime. It's only a matter of whatever format the site offers.

Jay G (Disabled) I find streaming video choppy and poor quality in all formats compared to downloads. I wouldn't ever join a site for its streaming videos, I'm too spoiled by high quality downloads.

Ditto. I don't like QuickTime at all.

I do stream many videos first to see if they are worth downloading, but I'll never knowingly join a streaming only site.

messmer (Disabled) Maybe there should have been an extra category: Indifferent to format because streaming is used only to determine if a scene is worth downloading. (see Monahan)

I agree, I've downloaded too much good stuff to put up with streaming videos. Only creeks and rivers should be streaming, not videos.

Yes, this is what I meant, too. It would be hard not to agree with everyone who has already pointed out the poor quality you normally get from streaming vs. downloading. My answer to the poll question pertains to sampling trailers for site visitors or vids I'm thinking about downloading as a member.

If the site is quick enough with the streaming, I'll view a streamed vid in really low quality (if available) to check it out before downloading. But sometimes I'll just download and that will be the "sample," which will be either kept or flung into the bin.

BTWS, the "Mega"-sized streams at Suze are really nice quality, though they do take time.

The last "stream only" site I joined was Vivid, some time ago. Don't bother!

badandy400 (0) i do not like streaming at all to be honest. But I prefer windows media because IDM has an easier time grabbing it automatically so I can download it anyway.

My problem is with sites that offer ONLY streaming video (no downloads). I loved the Orgyworld videos but they're still only available as streaming (no downloads).

pat362 (0) Streaming for me is a question of economics. I simply can't afford to buy every movie I think I might like and frankly after seeing some of them I'm glad I don't. Therefore sites like "Hot Movies, AEBN and a slew of others allows me to watch a particular movie or as is my want just a specific scene. I have Hi-speed internet so the video is not choppy. My default in those cases if Windows Media.

Yes, streaming only is the Internet equivalent of the vids you could view at Ye Olde Porne Shoppe -- only on the "premises." (At least with the Internet, you can avoid the weirdos lurking around ... ;)
