Capn (0) In my country there is quite sufficient regulation.
Further intrusion would not be welcomed.

Drooler (Disabled) Same as what the Capn said. We have to prevent child pornography, but there are already sufficient measures in place for that. A candidate running with more regulation clearly as part of the platform would probably be of a political persuasion at odds with mine.

james4096 (Suspended) Hypothetically speaking, if indeed that were the only big difference I had with the candidate, I might still vote for him. But like most people I normally end up voting for the lesser of two evils.

kkman112 (0) There seems to be plenty of competition, so there does not seem to be a need for regulation. I'm assuming you mean if a candidate would want to ban porn, in that case I would not vote for him/her. Considering the porn industry is almost as big as the movie industry (at least in the US), I don't see it going away here at any time. Now in other countries... depends on the governments. Some have already started wars against porn while a few others are starting to allow it.

pat362 (0) I said probably against mostly because politicians running for office and having anywhere in their
platform the mention of porn are more likely to have a negative view of it. It's not to say that they aren't watching porn or are of a much greater morale than the rest of us. Seeing all the sex scandals coming out definetely takes them out of the upper morale level. I don't think that any
politican having any positive biew on porn is ever going to get elected to any level of government.

I don't know if you heard but a town manager in Florida got fired because he's married to a porn star. Politics and porn don't go well together.

Yeah! Cicciolina/Ilona Staller has proved that. While a member of the Italian parliament, she offered herself to Saddam Hussein if he would free hostages. She's also offered herself to Osama Bin Laden.

Puts a new twist on "giving back to the community."

Yeah, you got love Italy. It seems as if their politicians can go around and have affairs without the same problems as in the U.S.

badandy400 (0) With regulation comes control and access denial. It would not take long for the only thing we can see is what those in control want us to see. For those in control there would be too much temptation to gain power and support from as many groups as possible. If you want church votes it certainly does not hurt to be the guy who got ride of the church's only legal competition. If no currently laws are being broken then allow people to do what they will.

uscue (0) What kind of regulation? You mean in a negative way or positive way? Porn can be regulated to make it safer for the performers, or it can be regulated to take away our individual freedoms of choice in what we watch. I'm guessing you were talking about negatively, but I didn't vote just in case. But all things equal, I'd vote for a candidate that is FOR PORN

Yes that's trye. I didn't think about that one. I don't know if she's still in politics but Cicciolina did get elected to office.
I'm just not sure at what level or the exact position.
