Who are they? I looked up the most recently active reviewers and none of them showed the pattern described.
The question itself seems to be stoked up too much. "Several" to me would be at least 5 and "week after week after week" would be at least 4 in a row. I used to be a fairly profligate reviewer, but I never did 20 in a month. Has anyone come near that figure?
Roseman used to do reviews of several sites that were part of a network, all paid for in one sum, so what at first might have raised eyebrows was really nothing suspicious.

I would have neither the budget, nor the time to attempt to flood the place like that! :00

There are a few members who submitted a large number of reviews after they first joined. But as time went by, the frequency of new reviews from those members dropped off.
I'm just guessing, but I think that's the general pattern for most members: they submit reviews most frequently at the start of their membership in PU, and then the frequency of submissions drops off.

I sometimes will do more than one review per week but most of the time these are part of a network.
Case in point would be reviews for sites whithin the 21Sextury netwrok. You can easily reviw a dozen site within a short period since you get a minimum of 25 sites with one membership. I don't question the quantity as much as the validity of the review. Very high scores without coreborating facts make me nervous.

Yes...but guess this is the best reason for trust-votes.
Some reviews - not that the short ones are more suspicious than the long ones - but lately we've had some extremely short reviews without any serious arguments - and a lot by the same - new - users - and I think:
Is this a joker or a friend of some owner/webmaster?
STILL: Keep in mind that some very trustworthy PUs make a lot of reviews - and they make some in (sorry, man what du you call it in english: Streams, waves or...?) - a lot in a short time.
Our trusted fellow PU Mbaya did so and does it now and then - makes a lot of reviews - does that create any problem? Does that make Mbaya (Mbaya just as an exampel) less trustworthy? NOT to me.
In the end it's the words/arguments in the review that keeps things straight...

Thanks for the nice words Denner. When I have more time I join more sites. It is as simple as that. I agree that the quality of the reviews is all that counts. Our most prolific reviewer is Exotics, who always writes interesting, well written reviews. I believe that Puers respect him highly and he deserves it. Also, joining networks can generate a lot of reviews in a short time. I seriously think that questions like this one come from a lack of appreciation for the effort it takes to write quality reviews.

It does seem strange when you see people who review 3+ sites a week for months in a row. I have a pretty serious porn addiction and I think I'm pretty bad. I spent way too much money on porn in 2009, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
You can, and I do believe people fake reviews, especially for sites that have a few recent reviews. It'd be easy to write a review and earn 3 points for Brazzers without joining, for example. So a review doesn't have to be poor or lack details to be fake. I don't think we have much of that here though.
It was said before, that some people really milk those megasites for reviews. But I think that's a good thing as long as they are detailed and informative.

I don't get too concerned. Sometimes I write in word and save them for later. I add/delete as I go with my membership. So, sometimes I'll even have 3-4 reviews already written and just post them all at once or quickly together. I bet others do this as well. You just have to read them and get a feel if the site was reviewed with what they probably feel is thier best opinions and facts, then criticize or praise from there. Usually, most here can get a feel if someone is putting up a bunk review and state their opinion or ignore it. Or, even ask a question in a reply to get further info.

I don't mind lots of reviews...the more info the better.
I myself only join 1 or 2 sites a month and tend to write reviews only for the sites that have few or no reviews already, I'm too lazy to re-invent the wheel if a review's already been written lately.
My question would be: "How many sites do you multi-reviewers join each month?"

I know we're all not of the same financial status, but I have serious doubts about people who appear to be on too many sites at a time. I've been on three sites at once and found myself barely able to check out all the content. And that's why still being "unsteadily employed" - I've got tons of time for browsing. Is it just reviews for raffle points? I guess no one will really know.

I don't know that i've ever noticed anyone submitting 3 or more reviews a week for months at a time, who has done this? I know i've reviewed a couple a week a few times, but that was usually because one of the sites was terrible - so I had to join another to feed the beast.
Like Denner said, isn't this the reason for trust votes?

I use a similar way as GCode, except I use Jarte. I started doing that back in the earlier years of PU when we had a much smaller character limit and I kept running over on all of them. With me, I tend to join sites that have TBP discounts and at one time would have 5-6 active memberships going at a time. I've slowed down a lot now, or the sites I'm joining are ones I've already reviewed. Have a couple to post tonight.

Again, so long as they are not posting multiple reviews every single week they don't really get any suspicion from me. In fact, it makes sense to save up a couple of reviews if what you're trying to do is maximize your odds of winning something in the weekly drawing. I could see someone joining maybe 5 or 6 sites a month on a realistic basis; beyond that I would start to have suspicions about their reviews.

Your post is from ten years ago, and I think it still applies. Very soon, I will have reviews for all the sites I joined in the last few months. Then I imagine I will review a lot less.
