I think the least objectionable choice is in a studio, where you have the most control over lighting, noise, etc. I don't understand the appeal of an old warehouse. Many years ago it might have been a new place to shoot porn and therefore possibly interesting, but porn shoots in warehouses have been done to death.

I must say that the only one of these that isn't a bad place is the bedroom. I agree with capn that outside is a bad idea because it requires a great knowledge of natural light and most filmakers don't know shit about that. A good photographer might overcome this but most director don't fall under that category. You also have to add bugs and
environment into the equation. A beach scene is nice until the sand goes where it can, the surf is so loud that you can't hear the action.
The running shower is always a bad idea because of noise and the fact that you are limited to only a few shots.
An old wharehouse adds echo to the sound and the less than stellar appeal of dust, rust and dirty windows. You can overcome the appeal if you film at night or if the wharehouse has no window and is naturally dark. In that case you could create your own lighting and what is visible outside of the lighted area. You won't be able to avoid the echo.
I can't see anything wrong with the bedroom. As far as I know that pretty much where most of us have sex.

As an 'old' pornfreak I'm quite conservative:
I like a good bedroom-scene - not only THE BED - but also foreplay around ect.
It's the most sexy way of looking at porn and especially the model/models - so yes, pat362 - agree!
What not great is all those outdoor-scenes at lakes with models half covered in water, grass, sand and what not....
Some sites find this 'artistic' - well, if I want ART, I do not go to pornsites.
Porn is to me sex, erotica and above all good looking models half naked or even better total naked - and the feeling of something erotic is far more difficult in most outdoor scenes...

I picked shower. Not really cause of the noise that the poller suggested, but I just seem to hate shower scenes. I don't know why but it just has never appealed to me. A cramped little space, woopidy doo water running, and time is limited; who knows when the hot water may run out lol :) Kidding aside, I just tend to like anywhere else but the shower so I picked shower.

I chose "other" because I reeeally don't like the night club scenes where there is no structure or organization. One babe is getting boinked whilst another is giving a blow job to some other dude and the camera man is bouncing from one action to another.
I love looking at a really gorgeous babe from head to toe going from the foreplay through to the splat shot at the end.
As for the settings listed in the poll, I'm good with any setting where the lighting is good and the cameraman is a dedicated horndog who knows what we porn fans really like.
When the lighting is right and the cameraman knows how to compensate for white balance and sun glare I tend to like outdoors scenes just because it seems more real. But what is really bad is where the cameraman is oblivious to the light balancing problems that occur when he shoots into the sun.

I picked outside but if "noisy" hadn't been added to shower I would have picked that, including bathing in a tub. In both the models are naked from the beginning and be it a video or a set of pictures that's not very erotic.

You know what I find a bit creepy as well? Those prison settings when either the male or female is the prisoner and they have sex through the jail cell bars or inside the cell. I dunno, just nothing fantasy about that....creep factor is high in those scenes IMHO.

I would say, like JayG, that really is no bad place to shoot porn since a decent photographer should be able to find a work around for almost every situation. It's just that most photographers don't take the time or lack to skill to deal with bad angles and lighting situations. I would say the worst place to shoot porn is where, for whatever reason, the camera seems to be stuck on a tripod and unable to move. Doesn't matter the site, we've all seen the vids where the camera just sits there while the actors go through position roulette and all you get is occasional glimpse of the action because the camera dude apparently decided to take his break then.

I don't care too much about the location. To me, the worst way to shoot porn is from weird angles. I think it's annoying when the photographer thinks he's being an artist when he cocks the camera 97° to the left, then 132° to the right and on and on...
