The only one that I keep around every month is VideoBox. I normally cancel the other memberships before the 1-month deadline.

"Sometimes" would be my answer since it's not that rare, but it's not "often" either.
Sites where the price decreases make me think I'm getting a deal. Also inexpensive sites like Videobox or Famedigital are so cheap I'm less concerned with canceling quickly. Even Kink.com has a bargain if you get another site during your membership.

Very rarely - but I'm a fast downloader (not like Colm4, LOL...I spend much time at sites just joined).
And it's a question of which sites - but bottomline:
I prefer to grab what I like at a new joined site, cancel and - if the site if good I'll return for another term later on - and maybe another and another...depends...

Teendreams
21. Sextury
Nubiles
Twistys
...and even VideoBox

Assuming the question is based on a month-to-month rate, rarely it is, because the site just has so much great new stuff I can't get it all in a month, because I look forward to the next month, and because the price is acceptable enough.
That all adds up to "rare" for sure. It has happened, but not in a long time. My first times with 1byDay, PixAndVideo, TeenDreams, and Twistys were that way, some years ago. Yes, it's pretty much the same as Denner!
And I've also missed a cancellation about once or twice a year.

I would say rarely. Sometimes I like a site so much that I subscribe long term but almost immediately after doing so I regret it because, as opposed to others, I don't just download everything a site has to offer but only those sets/videos that really interest me and they are few and far between these days. My firm resolution: From now on one month only, even though it's more costly that way.

I rarely forget to cancel a membership because I will usely cancel way before the due date. There are some exceptions like 21sextury but that's because I want to get access to all the sites so I am quite willing to wait the 3 months and the fact that the price keps dropping doesn't hurt.

21Sextury is one of the sites I was talking about when I said I regretted almost immediately making a long term commitment. I was primarily interested in their more unusual niches, because glamorous teenies don't do it for me, but found that after a couple of days I was already finished with downloading all the material that was of interest to me.
It didn't help, of course, that I had previously subscribed to "Lusty Grandmas" and "Zoliboy," and that most of the MILF sites of interest, that I got as a bonus for the long term subscription,were dead! :-(

I should also have mentioned the second site I had a long term subscription to: American Vice! That one went out of business on me. This confirms in my mind that the most prudent thing is to subscribe month by month rather than letting subscription recur.

Rarely. I normally get all I want out of a site well before another month kicks in. One site, however, skinvideo is the only site thats a keeper for me. The price is right and it's variety and massive archive is hard to beat.

It depends.
Most of the sites I've joined and/or reviewed are relatively small so there's really no need to let the membership go past a month.
A few however, are much bigger and I've joined for the longest period which will give me the best "bang for the buck," usually in the range of 6 months. Two sites in particular where I've done that are LondonStudioGroup (LSG) and Only Cuties (OC). With LSG, I initially joined for 6 months, let it lapse and now I renew for a month at a time every few months to get all the updates. With Only Cuties, I joined for 6 months which gave me about the right amount of time to view or download everything I wanted to. Since OC no longer updates there's no need to renew. (BTW, I highly recommend both sites. I haven't reviewed either one, but I plan to.)

It's happened twice and it was an Oh Shit moment both times. As a collector, I'm one who likes to let content build up between signups. I now make it a practice to signup and immediately cancel.

The vast majority of sites that I join I can grab all the content within a 1 month membership. In those cases I cancel and rejoin 6 months later to get any updates.

It really depends on the site. Most of the time I grab stuff and then join again in 6 months (as suggested by others) but for some sites that update often/ have very good content I often just stay for a few months. Right now I'm subscribed to about 3 stable sites so all my needs can be covered and I have 2 other memberships that will be canceled soon.

I don't think I'll ever join a site for long term even if I wind up being a member for over 6 months and I could have saved some money with the long term membership. I don't want to have to remember that I have a one year membership to any site and somehow I have yet to see one site/network that offers enough new content to warrant the original one year membership cost.
Do you get access to all the sites right away when you buy a long term memebership at 21sextury?

Yes, you get all forty sites right away, Pat. In the meantime they have added some more but we, as long term subscribers, don't get to see those. 21Sextury and American Vice taught me a lesson I will never forget .. no more yearly subscriptions. One went out of business, the other didn't give me what I was looking for - mature - because three sites out of the four I was interested in had stopped updating some time ago .. and this happened to be the reason all along for me wanting all sites now. Therefore for the next 9 - 10 months I'll be looking forward to one weekly update by the remaining mature site and that's it. No more after this. It is monthly from now on!
As a PS, to add insult to injury the latest update was more MILF territory than "mature" so I can't even count on good updates any longer.

I sometimes let a membership roll over for more than one month. But mainly, if I am going to be a member of a site for more than one month, I pick the multi-month membership, or for a very few sites, the annual membership.

The fact that sites can go out of business or start to slowdown their updates is a big reason why I avoid long term memberships.
I've notice them mention new sites on 21sextury but I haven't seen them yet. I'd rather they increased their price and dumped what I consider filler sites from their network and concentrate on only those that are still updating.

This certainly would have been to my advantage because I would never have subscribed in the first place. This must hold true for many subscribers who hung on for the loyalty bonuses only to find out that once they got the site in their particular niche it hadn't updated in two years. It is an excellent site (with some technical problems) for those who like young glamor, because those sites are updated regularly, for everyone else my advice would be stay away.

It wasn't my case because I renew my memebership often and I visit pornpassforall at least once a week so I know exactly which sites update and which don't. I even know the frequencies of the updates. I believe the porn recession has hurt them like it did many other sites. The number of updates seem to have slowed down. It's still
the best network on the net IMHO.
