For me, pictures were a good solution when internet was young, connections were slow and there were no videos around, or they had horrible quality. But when videos became accesible and started having acceptable to good resolution, I forgot about pix, and have never looked back.

Pictures are ok sometimes, sites like Suicidegirls get away with it just fine, but for the majority of my porn I enjoy it in that new fangled moving picture.

I like HD video that comes with a hi-res photo set so both I guess. I think the last time I went for pics only, was when I collected ALS scan pictures way back when they sold them on CD's.

Definately pictures as the type of sites i like are mainly the softcore solo model photography type so the videos tend to be quite boring, i've only joined 2 or 3 sites where i quite enjoyed the solo model videos, mainly Twistys and Teen Dreams.

That is my answer, too, but with a slight variation.
I still d/l pictures in a few cases where the babe is especially gorgeous and the pix are high quality. I used to grab some screenshots of especially memorable scenes using VLC but now with most sites providing high quality pictures along with their videos, I stopped with the screenshots.

tangub's answer is very close to mine. I mainly prefer softcore sites. And since the videos at softcore sites are usually boring, no matter how attractive the models are, you are left with the pictures to enjoy. I am also looking at hardcore sites, where the photos are usually boring, and the good videos that appeal to my tastes are hard to find.
Good softcore pictures are found at many sites. Good hardcore pictures are difficult to find. Good softcore videos are almost impossible to find. Good hardcore videos are difficult to find.
So I focus on softcore pictures, because it's easy to find high quality, erotic photos.

I enjoy some of the amazing things an axcellent photographer can do with a camera. I'd say that my collection is about 98% video and the rest are photos.

I'd have to say that it's a pretty 50/50 split. You never know what you're in the mood for. My videos focus on interviews and behind the camera stuff where the models talk and you get to see them in private, while my images are mostly really hot girls playing around ;)
Nubiles got me hooked on images and videobox on videos.

Originally it was nearly all videos, but over time I have become more interested in pics, possibly due to the influence of members here. Videos are still in the lead though.

I'm old fashioned. High quality photos are often more interesting to me than the lower definition video tha accompanies them.

Pictures because I haven't seen videos from the web that match the quality of pictures from my collection. Probably because HQ pictures are much easier to made, provided one use a specialized camera with the right skills. And the file size for pictures is manageable.
On the other hand, making HQ videos and distribute them on the net is prohibitive due to its very large size.
