Sometimes comments based only on a tour can be useful. I don't think that everyone who visits Porn Users is aware of what content is exclusive or non-exclusive, so if I see only or mostly non-exclusive material on a site tour, I might comment on that. And I have.
Of course, it might not matter to a newer user anyway, but what if it does?
Viparea started with non-exclusive stuff on the tour, and I pointed that out. But since then, it has developed a pretty rich selection of content not seen anywhere else. I reviewed it and gave it a pretty positive rating.
It's just not a good idea, usually, for site to begin with non-exclusive material on the tour. I think that new sites should offer something new, or at least non-exclusive material that's better quality than what you'd find somewhere else.
And if that's the case, the site should make that a selling point, noting pixel dimensions of photos and stats on the quality of the videos. If they don't, then you have to wonder why.

One could always comment on previews not telling much. I think comments are for any site related discussion that doesn't fall under particular review's comment.

It depends on the nature of the comment, for example you could say things like "this site includes content from X", "I had problems joining", "I won't join this site because X", etc. Other kinds of comments (on quality of quantity of content, for instance) would not be acceptable if they are based solely on the tour, I would say.

Comments serve a variety of purposes. You can give useful information about a site, your personal opinion about a site, specific problems or, more rarely, valuable features of that site. Or you could ask general or specific questions about the site, hoping to get a helpful response from a PU member who's been a site member.
PU allows us wide freedom to post our thoughts in a comment, but they also reserve the right to censor our comments. Unless the comment is total spam, they usually let you comment (and post in the threads) however you like.
Which makes for the question: why is the PU site so member-friendly, where the people are courteous and helpful to one another. We aren't saints, but this is one of the nicest sites I've been a member of.
For many sites, where you have an open membership, you have a large number of people who enjoy being idiots and flaming other posters to show their superiority.
But any disagreements at PU are usually mild. The members seem to respect one another, even when they have differing opinions and tastes. And the tastes of the PU members go all over the place, in their search for "enjoyment". Lol.
So if you want to comment on the tour area of a site, go right ahead. I know that's what I've done a number of times in the past.
The tour area of a site is a major introduction to a site, and can be a valuable resource. Or it can also be a waste of time. More sites should put more effort into making the tour area an attractive source of information about the site, that gives you a good idea of what the site is like.

Comments are a lot different than reviews.
Reviews should only be based on membership, whereas comments can be useful if you as a non-member discovers changes of content, price, update, irregularities in general ect.
News from previews can be useful....not everybody checks out all previews, all the time, la, la, la...

Depends. I know I've done it with Karup's Older Women when I discovered during the tour that their older women were mostly MILFs.

Some comments pertain to pricing deals or inclusion of bonus sites that are announced on the home page or site's tour - I have put many such comments - and I don't see why they would not be appropriate. Of course, if an offered deal doesn't turn out to be followed through on once someone has joined, I would hope that they would also make a comment.
I recently made a comment about New Sensation's tour having navigation that failed in every possible way. If a site is going to set up a tour, they should have links that work, rather than crash and I'll continue to make such remarks, because if the navigation on the tour crashes, I have absolutely no reason to believe that the site itself will function, so I'll spend my money elsewhere.

I also think that it depends on the comment. If you visit a site and notice that the content on their preview pages can be found elsewhere for less money than that would be a good comment or if you notice that their claim of exclusivity is far from the truth and their asking price way too high for it.

That's my feeling as well.
A preview site is the most important one for a porn site because it's the only real hook they have for dragging a horndog into it.
If a webmaster does a shitty job on the preview site, there's no way I'll waste my money on the member site. Clearly they have no idea how to attract and keep members.
Using the comment section of PU to alert members to this kind of thing is a service that is not available anywhere else on PU except, perhaps, in the Forum.

I see value in most comments, including ones based on the previews. Most of us here have seen quite a few sites, so we may find something worth mentioning to others.

Absolutely; it's a great way to ask questions and get members' feedback on how truthful the material in a tour section is, or just figure out what the hell is actually offered with a site's membership. Comments are not reviews so people should feel a lot more free to ask questions and talk about tours if they want.

Really good point about the potential "bait and switch" of some tours. Any info I can get before joining a site is helpful to me.

Another good point from PP - about making comments without beeing a member: Navigation in the preview......that navigation and result means a lot in the decision to join or not.

Hmm... I can usually see the preview page myself, unless you tell me something I wouldn't have noticed (the site is a rip of a different site or something like that) a comment is unnecessary, IMO.

A comment based on a preview only look is good for three reasons. 1) If it's a decent tour you can usually note if the content is exclusive or not. TBP doesn't always get this right so it's a good option for us to have. 2) If you think you might like a site it's good to be able to ask if anyone else knows about the site. 3) If I'm interested in a site I'll go so far as to hit the join parts of the tour to see what kind of billing they use and if there are sign up traps to consider; again something worth being able to point out to others.

I think you should but you should also state in your comment that you were on trail because most of the time trials dont give you enough time to experience all the good, bad and ugly of the site.
