Based on the way the poll question is worded, some of the possible answers seem invalid.
If you are forced to get rid of your porn stash, you can't hide it. Hiding it would still be keeping it.
The same for asking a friend to keep it for you. You are still keeping it, or keeping control of it.
The logic is slippery, the answers are slippery.
Just like President Clinton was speaking "truthfully" when he said he didn't have sex with Monica Lewinksy. His definition of sex didn't include a bj. Spoken like a true lawyer. Or a true liar. What's the difference between a lawyer and a liar? I'm not sure if there is a difference. Lies, damn lies, and statistics.
But if I had to get rid of my porn, I would just delete it from my hard drives. To be 100% certain, I would have to trash the hard drives, or throw them into the trash.
On the other hand (isn't there usually another hand out there somewhere?), if you are faced with a difficult decision, it's only human nature to change reality to come up with something that better fits our desires.
So instead of trashing my hard drives, I could swallow hard and say, "That's not porn. That's erotic art." And poof. My porn stash has disappeared. I now have a collection of erotic art.
And there is a lot of truth in that. Because what has been considered porn or smut has often changed to become art or erotica, and could now be valued in the hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars.

The bidding has now opened. What am I being offered for my collection of fine erotic videos from the Rocco Siffredi website?
Let the bidding start at U.S. $25,000. (I need the cash.)

I am a pack rat, so I would hid them somewhere, where that place is, I am not sure but I can never throw away content that I have paid for. I would sell my dvd porn for Japan, they are originals and are worth something at least.

Ik2fireone certainly has a point about the meaning of "get rid of" and I was surprised at the choice of hiding it.
But on reflection, I guess that "get rid of" could be interpreted as in the eyes of the beholder. Someone in my life would say, for instance, "Drooler, you have to get rid of your porn stash or I'm going to amputate your doojie wacker." And they'd mean it.
So I'd hide it and they'd think I'd gotten rid of it. Then I'd be spending my time thinking about how to get rid of them.

Already threw out all the collectable videotapes, magazines, DVD's.
Now down to portable hard drives that I would either clean off and then fill with non-porn "data" to cover, or, better, simply destroy and trash.
And, yes, this may happen when the extreme right wing evangelicals take over in America. Then my porn will consist of memories. How do I get rid of them?

I was faced this dilemma. Had hundreds of VHS and Beta video cassetts I'd collected over the years -- including many rare porn-classics that I had to get rid of.
Unbelievably, I couldn't sell or even give them away. With great sadness, I ended up having no choice than to send them off with my week's garbage.

Since this poll question and the choices are in complete contradiction, the whole thing really makes no sense, therefore my choice is to poke a hole in the dimensional rift and put my porn collection on the other side of the dimensional divide.

Yeah, I agree here, and I'd probably throw a tantrum while I'm at it.
"Unavoidably" better mean the police have arrived at my doorstep just to "look around," but I tell them to come back when they have a search warrant. Like any responsible citizen I patiently wait for them to return--while wiping the hell out of my hard drives as fast as I can click my mouse. I can only hope a police officer thinking "I smell porn in these here parts" is not considered an exigent circumstance...though they'd probably have busted down my door a long time ago if it was. (Gee, am I paranoid or what?)
Knowing my luck they'd return with a warrant that doesn't include going through my computers--d'oh! : - (

Well, if the poll is that bad, and makes no sense...and probably a waste of time to replying complainants, then may I suggest you really give the author a kick in the ass by registering a complaint with the source which approved and had it posted.

I have a large dvd porn colection and if I had to get rid of it then I would try to sell it. I don't think I'd get anywhere near what it cost me but it's better than nothing. Not too mention that I might meke quite afew happy people.

I think the situation this poll proposes is not that strange. Imagine that as a single guy you have a big/huge porn collection; but then you meet someone, and you want to move in with her. She will probable not be very happy if you fill the new love-nest with tons of DVDs and magazines of naked women, so what do you do with them?
And my answer is: throw them away. If I need porn, I have the internet.

I guess you mean like: "Go to nearest wormhole. Insert porn." ;)
Well, that would hide it, I'd think!

Nothing is unavoidable if you keep your wits about you. If I saw the writting was on the wall for my collection I would certainly come up with something to save her :)

I guess the better question would be if all porn suddenly became illegal, what could I do...
Probably divide it up among friends, but I can see how that would be awkward as it would reveal a lot about who I am (not sure my friends need to know I have all of the max hardcore videos from before he was sent to jail...)
