Maybe I'm not reading it right, but the poll question and answers seem more like something you would ask an addict - drug user, alcoholic, cigarette smoker.
I enjoy porn. I enjoy eating. I enjoy going to the movies. I enjoy breathing.
Am I addicted to breathing? Am I addicted to eating? Am I addicted to movies?
I prefer to think I enjoy those activities, not that I am addicted to them.
But if I stop breathing, I know that I will have a serious problem. So maybe I am addicted to breathing. But I still prefer to think of it as an activity I can enjoy, and not an addiction.
The same with porn.
If I had to admit it, I am probably more addicted to breathing than I am to porn.

I'm with the majority (so far) on this. For me, finding new and interesting stuff is more than half the fun. Occasionally I'll develop an interest in a new theme or find a model that I like and I'll scour the internet looking for more.

I wouldn't be coming here everyday studying about what's new in porn if I didn't want more...and more...and more new stuff. Variety is the spice of life and I think most of us like a spicy fantasy life.

I wasn't too sure of the meaning of the question but I took to mean always looking for the latest porn video. That's why I picked regularly instead of always. Of course I look for brand new content but I would much prefer finding older content that has been lost to time than anything else.

Yes, as others have said, the rush of finding a new previously unknown scene that you like is almost as fun as watching the scene in itself. In fact, I rarely look at the porn I download, because I've already seen it and it's not new or surprising... :)

Up until a month ago I would have voted, yes, always but I think I am in the process of giving up because it`s so rare that I find something new and exciting, so choice two it is, at the moment.

It is a leading question, rather than "How often do you need new porn" and the frequency answers that follow. Actually, I don't need it at all. It's a luxury.
But do I find myself thinking that I need it ...

Once again, pat hits the nail on the head. I should just wait until he weighs in on a topic and then just agree. Much of my porn hunting is for older material too.

Of course it's a question of age. I prefer bush, plot, acting, good chemistry between the players, proper setting, dialogue, kissing, cunninligus, BJ(not overly long) and various sexual positions that normal people use during sex. These were all part of the movies I first watched and which still excite me the most. Sadly for us old timers. They also happen to be getting harder to find.
All the lucky bastards who started watching ponr made in the last 10 to 15 yrs are fine because they are on a medium that is easy to copy and will last for a very long time. Most of the movies I like were on celluloid and many made it to VHS but never beyond that.

As with other folk, perhaps Need id too strong a word - I enjoy porn, and finding new sites and niches that I like, but it's something I could survive without. Eg last month or so has been tied up with work and haven't really thought about porn much... but now it's a bit quieter, I'm looking forward to catching up.

My reasons are a bit different. I like the types of movies that you describe, and I do actively look for those, but my preference is for titles that aren't that old. I prefer finding titles from the early days of gonzo when it was fresh and different. If you started watching gonzo back when it first started you'll remember how different it was from plot-based movies. And you'll also know how different older gonzo is from current gonzo. Some of my all-time favourites are from people like John Stagliano and Joey Silvera. I know a lot of people don't like the original Shane's World and a lot of stuff from Seymore Butts, but I like the playful feel that all those titles have.
One problem you must encounter more that I do is that those old titles on film must be very hard to find. The titles I look for are much more readily available.

I also love to find content from the early days of gonzo. Mind you a lot of that stuff is easily 10+ yrs old. Late 80's early 90's. It was gonzo before they had a name for it. The reason why I enjoy that kind of gonzo to what passes for gonzo today is that the people producing it were from the old school so there was attention to detail.

I agree. While there are some good gonzo directors around today most of them are pretty bad at it. I think the worst kind are those guys who make the porn about THEM, not about the girl. Guys in porn should realize that they are just part of the set. And another advantage in early gonzo was that it was rare that the women were degraded. And they had this quaint thing called cunnilingus. That seems almost strange now in some of the gonzo today.
Maybe I should go into business offering oral sex to young ladies who don't get it often because their boyfriends don't see it in porn.

As many others before have said, looking for and finding it is half the fun. I wouldn't say that I HVE to have new porn all the time.

A big problem with many of todays gonzo films is that the director is often the performer so he doesn't really film a scene as much as films himself F..g a girl. That's why the scenes are often long, badly edited(if at all) and concentrate far too much on the guy F..g the girl rather than a girl allowing a guy to F..k her.

Good point on the POV issue. But I think the underlying issue is a change in attitude. These younger guys who make gonzo porn now are just too self-centred. Maybe they should try making shitty music instead and leave porn to the professionals.

I agree with you but who's left of the old guard to direct decent porn? Most of the great ones are either dead or retired. Porn is a young mens game. It's too bad that most are narcissistic dick heads
with illusion of being the next Kubrik of porn.
