I'm not on tweeter or facebook. But maybe some PU members are. So I don't see any problem linking PU to those services. But since I know almost nothing about tweeter or facebook, there might be problems or issues I'm not aware of. For example, paypal has a policy that discourages paying pornsites with a paypal account, I believe.

I'm not fussed either with all this social media fad, it doesn't really interest me.

Considering my age I guess I should be wasting-uh, I mean spending all my time online on social network sites but I'm too much of an outcast even for those...yet somehow I fit right in at PU. : - )
As for the the Facebooks and MySpaces, I'm not really that antisocial but I'd just rather meet and interact with people in person, and so I just don't get anything out of those sites, whether it's stalking some old crush or just learning way too much information about a friend. Plus I feel genuinely uncomfortable devoting so much of my online presence to describing the who, what, when, where, how, and why of my boring day-to-day activities and thoughts.

Although I deal with the stuff at work, and understand the dynamic of it; personally I don't really get social networking, and don't use twitter or facebook under my own name. I'm also something a minor conspiracy theorist and I really don't like having so much info out there with my name on it.
As to PU; suspect that even among those who do use it, many may prefer not to share their proclivities with their FB friends! I guess it would be interesting, if it were here, how many folk would link up their (real name-based) social networking accounts.

PU doesn't fit into the social network thing and even if it did then I still wouldn't follow it. I do not understand the appeal for twitter, facebook and all the other social networks.

Not really sure how this would work. As an old school dude, I wouldn't use social networking to access PU. However, for the younger crowd who actually thinks surfing for porn on your phone or ipad is cool then maybe it'd work. Not really sure what TBP or PU would tweet or post though - read up on Khan zapping a crappy review or forum spammer, Duke just tweeted that he got a woody from looking at new porn site. I'm not really sure I'd want my newest reviews or forum posts spread even further around the web (they're bad enough as they are).
A better idea would be Groupon take, where if x number of PUers sign up, you can get a great deal on a website.

I agree that maybe it would be a bad idea giving a wider exposure to particular PU users' reviews or comments but why not, for instance, tweet about poll results? I believe some of the PU poll results ended regularly in some adult industry magazine, at least when I first heard about PU a couple years ago (AVN? XBiz?). Also, the what's hot section at TBP is daily tweet material by its character count alone. Just some ideas.
Regarding the privacy issues, I don't see how we should be afraid of sending 140 characters at a time of our opinion when some of us have to trim our PU contributions to fit in the character limit here. For the same reason we don't sign up at PU with our real names, there's no need to sign up at social networks with your real one.

Don't be like everyone else mindlessly seeking users and appreciation from mindless social networking idiots. Stay as is. If you need more members advertise.

I'm not sure. I've never had a facebook or twitter account.
Probably not I'd guess, because I know facebook isn't an anonymous place and many PUers would like to keep their kinks and addictions private.

We HAVE a social network right here at PU. What would be the point of duplicating it through one of those silly trendy-ass sites like Facebook or Twitter (not Tweeter)?
Let the people who want to come here come. We don't need to roll out the carpet to the world at large.
Besides, communities break down once they get too big to be definable. I don't think we need to be asking for that.
And frankly, I think the PU crowd is a pretty smart, sophisticated group. We write SENTENCES and engage in ARGUMENTATION 'n shit like that. (Let the air heads "twit" and stay the fuck away!)

I suppose if I had a Facebook account or Twitter page I might follow PU on either or both of them. But I'm not really a Facebook kind of guy. It's not that I'm anti-social...really quite far from it. Like others have said here, I like real face-to-face social interplay. Facebook just seems too impersonal, banal and often intrusive for me to want to have a strong enough desire to join.
