RustyJ (Suspended) I generally like CD's, Blurays, books and other things physical even if the content would be available in electronic format too. DVD's are a thing of past to me but I still buy an occassional high production adult Bluray. Too bad the prices are ridiculous, probably due to some licensing costs of production or something. What really irritates me is that they are often only 720p for no apparent reason.

I'm amazed that the news agents still carry so many adult magazines and most of the old ones I rememeber over few decades are still alive. I wonder if they really sell or if they are funded by advertisements as they seem to be half full of phone sex ads.

slutty (0) Never really did. Aside from a couple of Playboys when I was younger, if that even counts.

pat362 (0) I stil regularly buy DVD's. I reserve my Bluray dollars for mainstream movies only. I really have no interest in seeing porn in Blueray. Of course I buy less DVD's these days but that's beause you have less available than a few years ago. The sad reality is that the recession, file sharing sites and all the crap that passes for porn these days hasn't helped.

Denner (0) Once - and only once in the last years - a DVD I could not find ways to download..
But generally - only downloads.

Drooler (Disabled) Well, nearly 70% have said no (13 votes). Maybe it's premature, but could this be the end of the box cover boob job? I remember Shatner's interview with Jenna Jameson. She explained that the boob job she got, and that other girls get, is for that physical media box cover.

No box, no beefup? I'd love that!

Tree Rodent (0) It's another "no" from this corner. Sad really.

Drooler you hopeless optimist. There's no way we can ever rid the world of boob jobs. Not unless we kill all the plastic surgeons. Hmm - that gives me an idea....I might be gone for a while.

Jay G (Disabled) I felt liberated when I got rid of the boxes full of magazines, DVDs, old videotapes, etc.

My whole collection (Multi-terabites) is now on a few external hard drives. Without them, if my collection were still in boxes, my house would look like something from the TV show "Hoarders."

Monahan (0) REPLY TO #9 - Jay G :

Ditto that.

Back in the day I created hundreds of dubbed over videotapes of scenes from rented videos. Cost? $2.99 per rental. 2 or 3 scenes copied per tape. Blank tapes cost $1.25 per and the dubs always lost fidelity because of the copy process.

Now I get much better definition, many more scenes and much more efficient storage processes.

CD's were not capable of being copied and too expensive to buy so I have very few in my stash.

The last CD I bought was about 3 years ago and was one I still have not found on the web.

You'll note the tentativeness of what I said. It was all in question form. You're probably right. Silicon tits will remain as common as the silicon chips used to find and delete them.

If we complain about boob jobs, I think that would make us optimistic as well. And what would be the use of complaining if we're really sure that it's hopeless?

BenThruston (0) One of the few that still buys I guess, though rarely and usually on the cheap.

For standard def videos, much prefer the DVD to compressed video (and I'm including compressed HD in saying that), though much of that has to do with visual nitpick issues.

rearadmiral (0) Put me down for 'no' too. The convenience of downloading porn (legally and with payment) is just too great to overcome. But I have nothing against DVDs except that the price of adult DVDs is bizarrely out of touch with reality. I've commented on this before, but with most adult DVDs running at $40 how is anyone buying them. Unless it was Tanner Mayes finally doing anal. Fuck being rational then. I'd be like a kid who still believes in Santa at Christmas. While tuned up on massive amounts of sugar.

As for magazines, those are something that I haven't bought in a while. They're just too hard to store discretely. The last time I bought a magazine was maybe three years ago when I bought a package of two out-of-date magazines from an adult shop. For $10 I got two magazines. The problem was that while one of the magazines was Hustler or Club or something like that, invariably the second magazine was always something like "Hairy Fatties" or "Chunky Asses."

Not to drag this out more, but on her last birthday my bride asked for a Wii game console. As a joke, to demonstrate how out of touch I am with the modern world, I thought of buying her a copy of Oui magazine (assuming it still exists). Given that my young neice and nephew would be around for the gift opening I figured the humor woudl be outweighed by the anger. Stupid non-porn people!

HeatherMcXxx (Suspended) The advent of the Internet has made it more difficult for us to discover our boyfriend's porn stash. Damn you, Internet! :)

raffles (0) Never bought dvd's but rented them by mail and copied some scenes on blanks.Too many boxes and hard to search for specific scenes because I was too lazy to label each one.

Starting February, downloaded on computer and then transferred to 2 TB USB external drive. Watched on large screen TV via the Patriot Box office. Very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of videos from 2008 onwards.

Thanks for the poll and if I can improve on my viewing methods please let me know.

Nitro (0) Seems like I'm the only one who voted 'Magazines and all'. Having said that I'm picky and very selective about the magazines that I buy. The stuff that has been published the last decade doesn't interest me at all, meaning that 99% of the printed stuff that I add to my collection is vintage European (soft) porn that was published roughly between 1970-1990 which I wasn't able to afford when it first came out. Unless it's very rare it needs to be in top notch condition as well, otherwise I will pass up on it. The oldest porn magazine I own is the very first issue of Private magazine which was published in 1965. Come to think of it that magazine is even older then I am. :-)

As for modern porn: DVDs never really caught my interest (I have around 35). I find it just as easy to download modern porn through internet subscriptions and keep it on external hard drives after downloading it as these obviously take up vitually no physical space compared to the boxes of magazines.

otoh (0) I've never bought DVDs, downloads only for me. But I like physical printed stuff and have been collecting erotic photo books for a while - which is admittedly increasingly hard to store discreetly!

As to magazines, being into nylons and pinup type stuff, I buy choice issues of Leg Show that feature models or photographers I like.
