Credits

Along with bigger and bolder looks, this site got credits added few days ago. One can buy those with real cash starting from 500 for 4.95$ and up to 40% savings with bigger purchases.

For roughly 300 one can buy a scene to "own" it, meaning that he/she has access to it even after subscription ends. Don't know how usefull that is since I consider all downloaded scenes "owned" by me as well but might interest some so it's all good.

You also earn 10 credits per day of membership and in the future you can supposedly subscribe to the site itself with them. Probably means you have to cancel your recurring one first though which means losing any loyalty bonus but we'll see.

New things that take nothing away never hurt. I would love to see a chance to use those points on 21Sextury's partner sites. It'd reduce the stress with credit card when you could access other sites from one you already are a member to.

messmer (Disabled) Hi Rusty, I am a bit baffled in connection with your comment: "For roughly 300 one can buy a scene to "own" it, meaning that he/she has access to it even after subscription ends. I agree with you in that I consider everything I downloaded from 21Sextury as owned by me. Not in the legal sense, of course, but that I can look at it as long as I want, member or not.

Could it be that they are sneaking in DRM? If they don't handing out credits doesn't make sense.

1.WHAT IS 21SEXTURY CREDIT?
21Sextury Credit is practically a virtual money attached to your lifetime account. You can use these credits in our members' area to buy individual scenes or network subscriptions. With time, we reward our loyal members with more credits, but of course you also can buy some extra any time.

2, DOES IT INTERFERE WITH MY EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION(S)?

No, it doesn't. It is a bonus given to your subscription, you still will be able to watch all new updates you have access to.

3. WHAT CAN I BUY USING MY 21SEXTURY CREDITS?
Currently there will be two options available. One is right away, the other will be opened up in the very near future. Of course with time we will expend the possibilities to many other interesting items.
These are the available choices:

*

Buy individual scenes (scene videos + photos)
If you bought the scenes, those are yours and you'll be able to watch them even when your network subscription has been expired. This way you can create your own video collection, enjoying your favorite scenes as many times as you want.
*

Buy a full right subscription to 21sextury or 21sextreme Networks (coming soon)
You can even buy subscriptions using your 21Sextury Credits. Those are not recurring, ideal for those who are hesitant to use recurring subscription.

Credits stocks up by time for loyal members so you may can collect them and use it later - any time.

4. HOW CAN I GET CREDITS?
There are three ways to get 21Sextury Credits:

* Either buy one of our credit packages
* Gain some as member loyalty rewards per active days
* We reward you with credits when you buy a 21sextury product

While with buying credit packages you can get the desired numbers of credits right away, the member loyalty reward is totally free and all active members get them automatically in a daily basis.

5. IS IT WORTH TO BUY MORE CREDITS?
Definitely. The more credit you buy, the more discounts you may get after certain amounts.
Here is the prices and the amount you can save:

* $4.95 - 500 credit
* $18.95 - 2 000 credit, you save 5%
* $44.95 - 5 000 credit, you save 10%
* $84.95 - 10 000 credit, you save 15%
* $149.95 - 20 000 credit, you save 25%
* $239.95 - 40 000 credit, you save 40%

6. WHAT IS MEMBER LOYALTY CREDIT?
We reward our active members with credits on a daily basis. Accounts with an active subscription get 10 credits after each active days, meanwhile accounts with expired subscription will still get 3 credits for 90 days after subscription expiration.

The only thing you need to do to constantly get the free loyalty credits is to log in to the members' section once every 7 days..

Your earned credits are never expires. You can come back any time and spend them for any of our products (network subscription, or individual scenes)

7. WHERE CAN I ACCESS INDIVIDUAL SCENES AFTER I BOUGH THEM?
Your purchased scenes get into the 'Favorites' menu in the Members' Section, you can check them there anytime you want.

Monahan (0) I posted the entire announcement above, but I admit I'm confused. Being a auto-renewing (and very satisfied) subscriber who does not plan to unsubscribe, I'm not sure what this adds for me.

Being skeptical as well, I'm wondering if this is the first step toward charging extra for downloads and/or other changes to the current subscription terms or as Rusty asks, is this a precursor to (re-) instituting some form of DRM.

Perhaps someone smarter than me can tell me what this really means.

In the meantime I'm now focused on downloading as much of the good stuff as humanly possible if/when DRM comes back in. (It's a task I'm happy to undertake).

Thanks Monahan for taking the time to lay it all out for us. It'll take me a while to digest all that information so I can't make a meaningful comment at the moment.

Going to take a stab at it based on the way I understand it.

21st Sextury has the lifetime membership feature now. This allows you to stay a member without member benefits. Meaning you can view everything the members can, like new updates, check to see if favorite models have new content, without having an active membership. You just can't download anything. I'm pretty sure on that part.

The new credits, in my thinking, are saying even if you're not an active member, but have credits left in your lifetime membership, you can download a scene. For example, if Eve Angel had a new scene and my membership expired 2 days before it came out, but I had credits, I could use them to download that scene.

I'm simply basing this one how the lifetime membership works and the mention that in the future, the credits could be used to subscribe to the network. There's a comment on ALS, believe Pink Panther made it, about the ALS On Demand sites where you don't have to be an active member of ALS to download a scene, but just pay for that one scene instead. It looks like 21st Sextury is doing something similar to that by giving the option of buying credits or earning them over time.

That's the way I take it.

OK, that makes a lot of sense, especially because it answers two questions. The first one is why would they set up a structure like that unless it made them some additional money, and second, what stops an active member from canceling and save money by using the accumulated credits?

Both questions are answered by the fact that they expect the former member to pay for more credits after his original batch runs out which is more money for them and a member who really doesn't want any restrictions on his access to as much as he wants (that would be me) stays on as a regular member while adding more to his credit count.

So you succeeded in translating their new program into common sense English.

In any event, I plan to stay a member anyway so let's see what happens.

elephant (0) I was confused too when I woke up and logged in, thought lots of the old site looked better to be honest, main disappointment was the models scenes now have to be hovered over to see what site it is from, I suppose you get used to it but I did like the look of the old site better.

That said I will find the credit system good to after membership you get the chance to get the updates you are maybe interested in, that way they get more money I guess from people like me who maybe join once a year to a site, will spend more with them cause they will buy credits to keep topped up with models they like. I know I don't join sites too regular and wait till there's quite a few new scenes to make it worthwhile, so this new feature is certainly of interest with me.

I think exotics nailed it.

No fear of DRM on my side, nthere's nothing even remotely suggesting it and it would be really shooting oneself in the foot these days.

I guess the looks will just take few weeks to get used to but I also think that smaller thumbnails with site and model name visible would have been nice option.

I hope I did lol! If not, 21st Sextury is going to be really pissed at me. I've always known this company to be a very stand-up company that sometimes seems to have problems explaining their new features, I'm guessing the language difference plays into that, but just couldn't see them using DRM either.

Agree, they're a trustworthy site and I'm sure if they were going to try to pull anything bad off, they would be the first to tell it though it would probably be in a very complex, complicated way!

Hello Guys,

thank you very much for all the constructive comments about the new credit system. I'm happy to see your positive approach to this new function.

Please let me add a few notes to clear some of the confusion.

As you've very correctly mentioned before, 21Sextury Credit is meant to be a bonus, something to offer a chance to buy scenes even after your subscription has expired, or buy scenes from our other Network you may not have access to. These purchased scenes are attached to the lifetime account, and will also be available for lifetime.
Although the usage of the credits are quite limited at the moment, we promise to expand the options in the future. Of course it would be a tad bit too early to speak about details just yet.

Very important: This whole credit system doesn't mean that we plan to introduce DRM. It never was part of our policy and we won't implement it now either.

A few words about the model names and scene titles.
We are aware that some of our members prefer to see it constantly and find the mouse-over requirement uncomfortable. We are currently working on a solution which both looks good and comfortable to satisfy every needs, it hopefully will go live soon.

As usual, we try to follow all of your feedback. Please keep sharing your opinion and ideas with us about the new look and features (or about anything), we are grateful for every constructive comments.

In the meantime, happy surfing!

schlemihl (0) Perhaps I have found the solution to the deeper meaning of this new mysterious credit-points-system! I just have bought a regular one-month-test-account at 21sextury.com. Everywhere on the completely new designed website you find click-traps for buying "lifetime-credits" for individual scenes. Just as you, I did not understand, why this could be interesting for me, so I bypassed this feature and moved on browsing and downloading. Suddenly my browser and operating system crashed, so I had to reset my computer. Shit happens. So what. But after restarting my operating system and logging-in again at 21sextury.com, I found my account set to inactive! "Dear customer, you have an inactive lifetime-account." Fine! Means, I can login, but my rights are set on guest-mode, just like I visit 21sextury.com as a Non-Member. When I try to download videos or to view pictures, I get redirected to the regular join-site. I have already sent 5 emails to online-support, but they just seemed to sleep at this time on the other side of the planet. So I tried to help myself and began to explore my member-account. This way I found the Section "Settings". And there I learned, that I now have the "livetime-right" to view an individual scene, which is not a favorite of mine at all, which I never have chosen nor downloaded. So guys, beware! When you click to buy "livetime-credits" for individual scenes, or your OS crashes and you find, your machine or a different UFO has done such a click for you, your account will expire! Then you may buy new credits with real money, to reactivate your account. This is the 21sextury.com-way to manage worldwide financial crisis.

Gimondi (0) I am wondering if the model pages will be getting the names added, as was mentioned above previously. I really don't like the new style design with all big pictures and no text on the Scenes and Models pages. If you want to find a particular model it's more difficult this way. Every time I go back to there to decide whether to rejoin or not the site design really puts me off. Very 'modern & fresh' but not so easy to actually use. I'm sure it's just me, though. I'm maybe a little old-fashioned.
