Is your score in large part because of the crappy download speeds because 50 seems like a really low score for a site that is a leader. I agree that there are many other DVD sites on the net but none compare to Videobox when it comes to content and it's not just a question of quantity but of the number of studios that choose to make their large librairies available.
No offense but there is no way that Videobox can be considered reasonably priced when the cost to join is 15$ for 11,000 movies.

Seems like this review should be more pointed towards your ISP or somewhere in the connection path. 5 years ago I was able to sustain 50 MBit or so. The 15 MBit connection I have at home was always able to sit at the top, for days on end. There is likely something along the connection path that is bottlenecking it, this is something beyond VBs control.

Yep. My score was more or less based on the 'crappy' download speed.
Videosz does compares to Videobox when it comes to content - give or take a few titles.
I'm not sure what you mean when you disagree about the joining fee. I thought it was reasonable, but you think it's really good? Bad? Also note you paid $15 but I actually paid $24(£15).
Thanks for taking time to reply :)

I've already said that during my time with Videobox I was with other US sites too, and not really experienced any problems with them. Whilst Videobox might work for you (wherever you are) I didn't for me, and it's only fair I point that out for other international users who might get stuck with the same problem.
Thanks for your thoughts.

The trouble is that it is not the fault o the site. You are scoring them based on something that is out of my control. That would be similar to scoring a site low because I was on dialup and videos took days to download. The other sites may have different paths. Just seems to me to be something more comment worthy that review.
Don't get me wrong though, it should be stated. Too often we hear of our friends across the lake getting screwed by connection issues.

That damn Regional pricing crap. If you're going to advertise 15$ than make sure it converts to the equivalent in whichever currency the customer is paying. Mind you even at 15 Pounds it's still a steal. I still buy dvd's and most of these are 20$ and above.

I subscribe presently to VB and my download speed has been consistently around 2.4 MB/s for one file or for multiple files combined. Nothing wrong with you mentioning a site's bad speed for you, but be careful about considering that in your score. Speeds differ from user to user.
