Video format?

I used to be a member of this site. Loved the content. They do rubber/medical/watersports like no one else.

My only, but big, complaint was/is the video format. They used to use something called F4V for their higher resolution videos, and the only player that would play their DRM'ed files was "Adobe Media Player" which apparently hates all my computers.

Does anyone know if they still use that format? I want to sign up again, but not if I can't download the videos

RustyJ (Suspended) Check the reply to the comment below. Yes, it appears they have some strange video format and DRM nonsense going on.

Hi There,

Ok just to clear up this issue, just follow the download link on ALL the video pages and under EACH video text, the link reads "Adobe Media Player" just follow the instructions and you are done, the player is all there free and downloadable for you :)

Hope this helps as we have had no real issues with any other users.

Regards

Webmaster.

First of all, thank you for the reply.

I did download the player last time I was a member, but I kept having problems with it. Issues with DRM authentication, connection or just straight crashes. Maybe it just doesn't like my system or I was doing something wrong. Either way it would be nice to be able to choose a different player, one that works with my system. Also, with a more common file type I would be able to stream it to my media player and watch it on my big screen tv :-)

One solution is to not use DRM. It offers much less protection than you think. I looked at the site and was interested, but will not be signing up because of the DRM.
