Updating is the requirement number one. Amount of content might make me let the membership recur once or even twice but if no updates come regularly enough, then I'm out.
I'm not into live stuff at all and the selection of models and quality of content stay with me after the membership has expired in the stuff I've dl'd.

I voted quality of content.
It is no where near as simple as just one of the above options though.
It is a combination of these & other factors, such as value for money.

In choosing "Other", a lot of times I join to download newly posted content that matches my tastes and very seldom will I let it automatically renew if what's coming is of no interest. Just get what you want and get out.

I want to say it's a combination of quality of content, amount of content, and frequency of content. And the truth is that I haven't yet found more than 1 site that makes me want to stay a member for more than one month. The sites that have come closest, though, only missed on the frequency part.

Primarily it's the amount of content. The only sites I've stayed at longer than a month in recent times are Met Art and Only Tease and that was basically because it was the first time I'd joined either site so had 10 years or more of archives to go through.

Mainly number of updates, but if a new site, amount of content would be more of a factor. I'm not someone who downloads everything unless I'm obsessed with the model, so normally I can get through most sites and cherry pick for download what suits my tastes.

Most of the factors determine more whether I'd ever subscribe again, rather than if I keep my subscription going. Of course if it's a poor site, I cancel ASAP before I forget and it auto-renews.
Out of all the factors listed it's frequency of updates that's key to whether I let it renew.
If there's very few, it's pointless keeping my membership going - if I like the content I'd just resubscribe in a few months time when there'll be a fair amount of new content.
If updates are frequent and I get a fair price, I'm happy to stick around. Even so, I don't think I've ever stayed more than 2 - 3 months at a time, as I don't have an unlimited budget and I like to try out different sites.

I chose other because I never stay over a month, for I join a site every year to get new updates that I don't have. I don't know why I do that, but this way I can save that money for another site.

I chose "how often the site updates" because it increases my slim chances of finding something I really like. Doesn't happen too often though, so I usually subscribe for one month only.

Update frequency is the main one. I'd consider a recurring membership only on at a site which offers daily updates; or if the year membership was very cheap. Otherwise, no matter how much I like the content, it's just as easy to join again later and catch up.

updates are important for the site to be interesting and value for money, i wouldn't of joined the site if i researched it to see if the content was of reasonable quality , that's why sites like this are good for feedback and are informative

I think all these suggestions are really important and aside from the cam shows then all of them are part of the reasons why I renew but money is by far the deciding factor. A site that drops os renew price is more likely to keep my for a longer time then the one that raises it or keeps it at the same level.

The trouble with polls like this is that the premise is that a single factor, or even a single most dominant factor, is what influences a decision. There is simply no room to develop a poll that accounts for different sets of multiple factors, each set being choice A or B and so on.
Hope no one takes this personally (It's not intended to be), but the truth about surveys in general is that they're kind of simple-minded due to the way they are structured. I went through that recently with a telephone survey about views on government "entitlement" programs.
Sometimes it's just "GIGO" and we don't learn as much about what is really going on as we might believe.
At least in this case it's clear that "live shows" are non-factors in renewing memberships.

I'd go with quality, update schedule, and price, pretty much in that order unless it is a tiny site.

Well said Capn.
It's complicated. For example, in my case, I have a 6 month membership to Lelulove.com for the quality. But I also have been a member at Naughty America for the last 3 month for the value and quantity. There's defiantly more than one force at work.

Monthly price compared to the number of updates, if a site delivers constant great updates and keeps me statisfied, I'll likely renew.
