Jay G (Disabled) Yes...it is one of the factors.

Despite the fact that I now have plenty of money, I grew up with little and still can't pass up bargains.

I don't mind paying high prices for extra quality, but have often found the truth in porn is the opposite...high prices often mask poor quality and the inability to market to large numbers of customers.

Great prices most often just show that the producer can make money by selling lots of his/her quality product to tens of thousands of customers.

There are web-masters who demand high prices and make a little money feeding off a few uninformed novice porn buyers. Porn users reviews have really helped save me money.

You don't always get what you pay for.

RustyJ (Suspended) Sometimes I do. If it differs from the mean price a lot, then I do consider it.

KET924aab (0) Yes, the value is important. A $30 a month site needs to have what I want. I cut a little slack to less expensive sites.

Denner (0) Depends....all the well known sites has also a welknown price via TBP....but when a site is really a bargain, it ought to be mentioned in a review - and if the price seems way to high compared to the content: likewise.

jberryl69 (Disabled) Price is the major consideration even if a site purportedly has the material I might find interesting.

Cybertoad (Disabled) Its a clear yes, a site has to be worth the cost it is that simple.
Paying for a site that is not worth it is silly.

I would say at least 25% of my reviews are based on :

1. Affordability
2. Good deal
3. Discounts
4. Content for the price
5. Updated material.

gaypornolover (0) Yes, always.

It's a part of the whole package after all, you can't ignore it in your overall rating in my opinion. If two sites are identical in quality but one costs double the other, then it would seem odd to give them an equal score to me.

That's an excellent point Jay G - I too have often found the most expensive sites are disappointing. It's certainly no guarantee of quality - but I'd never really thought about why. Your explanation make a whole lot of sense!

pat362 (0) I can't say that I never do but it is quite rare. I think TBP chose to stop using the join price as a parameter for their score a while back and I was not exactly in agreement with them at the time but I have since then changed my mind for the vast majority of the sites that I've reviewed.

The join price may not always be the best one but if I get over 30 scenes or more out of the site then can I really complain if I paid 30$ for my memebership? I mean that is a dollar a scene. That is basically iTune prices.

RagingBuddhist (Disabled) Always. Like any other product, don't we all look for value? To me, if a site charges the usual $30 a month and doesn't deliver quality comparable to other sites, that's points off. Video/picture quality, the amount of content online, the update schedule, and the money I'm paying for it, all factor into it.

lk2fireone (0) I think Cybertoad said it best: a site has to be worth the cost. It's that simple.

There are many different ways you can value a site:
Amount of content, quality of content, ease of use.

But the price of a site is definitely one of the main factors, whether it's mentioned in the review or not.

otoh (0) As others have said, it is a part of the value the site offers. A relatively expensive site that has very unique material still equates to good value. And I've certainly increased my score a bit for sites which are very cheap.

Jay G (Disabled) REPLY TO #13 - otoh :

A very good point about unique material being worth the extra cash.

I certainly agree with that. Having shopped porn sites from the beginning of the Internet (yes, once upon a time you could buy a picture that seemed to take 3 minutes to show up on your screen), I am constantly hunting for new & interesting material and am more than willing to pay extra for it. The only thing I hate is paying extra and then finding out that, like a carnival sideshow, what is promised on the outside is not really on the inside.

Another reason why Porn Users is so valuable to me. A Porn User who already has been scammed will warn us!

marcdc1 (0) I certainly take price into account. If two sites have fill a similar niche, with similar quality doesn't the less expensive site deserve to have that noted and their score bumped? Conversely if a site is gauging shouldn't that also be noted?

To me I think it's all part of writing a fair review. Fair to the webmaster and to the potential customers.

tangub (0) Yes sometimes, value for money is important and I'm probably likely to be more forgiving to a mediocre site if it's only cost me $10 as opposed to $30.

Ambition (0) Yes, the value the site offers is important and the content has to match the price they ask for. Few sites are worth between 30 and 40 USD even though many charge within that pricing range. Most important is the recurring price beginning with the 2nd month. Do they deliver enough updates to make it worth staying a member? Like if it is a megasite, because it has been in business for ages, but only posts 4 updates per month, it may charge a higher entry-fee, but the recurring price should be alot lower. Number of updates, quality of content and quality of production have to match the site's price.

Homegirl (Disabled) A low priced excellent site gets extra points. A high priced site deserves to be judged more critically.
