What's the deal here, with this 50% off promo email

Just seen an email from Met Art network with yesterdays date and said 50% off which is $14.99 but when you click the join link it says $29.99 and even better for me in the UK £23.61 cause of ccbill ripoff regional pricing thing. So not a deal at all and at nearly £24 one of the most expensive out there.

Marcus (0) Good to know. I'm from the UK too so this definitely puts me off joining the site. Would be interesting to hear from a webmaster on this topic. Regional pricing is annoying at the best of times, but this is pretty disappointing in my opinion.

pat362 (0) I may be a little slow this morning but are you asking about a deal for als scans or met art? Your comment is attached to one site but your question is about another site.

Nasos (0) Regional pricing is easily bypassed. I don't know if we're allowed to discuss it publicly though.

lk2fireone (0) I live in the US.

I got the same email, advertising ALS Scan for $14.99, but when I click on the link, and then the join page, the price is $29.99.

So it's probably a bad link, that should have directed to a $14.99/month signup page.

But I agree that regional pricing seems to be unfair. And bad business, because of all the resentment that it creates.

Agree with Nasos - I think it's OK to talk about it, especially when the simplest way - downloading TunnelBear - is so easy.

Download, turn on, join site as if you were in the US, turn off again (the free account has limited bandwidth) and log into your site.

I do apologize for that. Our mailers are sent out in waves, and some of the first ones went out with an incorrect link code. Once our Support staff started receiving emails about it, our technical team was notified and the problem fixed.

We do have testing procedures in place, but somehow, this one got by us. :)

If anyone did not get to take advantage of this opportunity and would like to, please email our Support team, and reference this thread. We'll make sure that you are taken care of.
