I sort of have a plan, but not really. If I die suddenly, a close friend, porn buddy and long-time PU lurker is instructed to come to my house and retrieve a specific briefcase. That briefcase contains a bunch of portable drives.

I proposed the poll bc I've thought about it a lot.
Before cyberporn when my stash was primarily mags, then VHS tapes, then CD's, plus a little on my 10GB internal hard drive, I sorta didn't do anything, but gave it a lot of thought.
Then along came the web and the dramatic increase in quality and size so all the old stuff is just lying around.
My external drives with my current stuff are all password protected, for what that's worth, so the drives themselves can be wiped and used by whomever wants them.
But reading the comments and thinking about my old shit, I think I'll dump everything I haven't touched in 5 years or more.
Now another poll question comes to mind that I think I'll submit; what do you do with old porn you no longer want to keep in your stash?

I've destroyed huge porn collections every few years and started all over.....It's all on 4 large external hard drives now which I would reformat if I were ill. I keep thinking about telling my son to reformat them for me if anything happened....but I keep putting that difficult conversation off.
The truth is the collecting is the fun part...the watching is good but far less important....I spend 20 times more time collecting porn than watching it.

I'm struck by the same irony. I have more collected then I could watch in a life time, yet I continue to collect and the stash grows ever larger. I try to keep up by weeding out things I'm not that interested in. It seem like no matter how big the hard drives are, they're always full.

I have a fairly large collection, and collecting for me is fun... but I'm realizing it takes time to keep things organized, so I'm thinking: fuck it - what if I just stopped collecting! There's always going to be new porn to look at... why waste my time? (and a collection takes at least some time perpetually... hard drives don't last forever)
I guess is porn really just disposable?

If I had to guess in psychological terms I'd say the "thrill of the hunt" makes collecting my passion......down deep on a primitive level I believe men are still hunters who enjoy the hunt and capture in a special way and eating the feast at the end is good, but not the only motive for hunting.

If you wait long enough, every object in life ends up in one of two places: a museum/private collection or the trash. Porn is just like everything else. Fortunately, there are museums of sex in NY and NV! And plenty of private collectors!
