tangub (0) I think it would be good if there was a "like" button for reviews and comments but not for forum posts.

Wittyguy (0) I'd expand the "like" to include forum posts, reviews and comments. There should also be a "dislike" button that only appears under my posts.

rearadmiral (0) I like the idea of a 'like' button but I selected 'other' as I think it is a good idea but I'm not so committed to it that I think it warrants an exclamation point. It is definitely something that I'd use though.

Drooler (Disabled) No. I really don't want to see PU looking more and more like every other social networking site. Besides, knowing only that some anonymous people said they liked a particular post on the forum doesn't provide any useful information -- just a bit of ego gratification, perhaps, to the poster.

And what does it it mean that you "like" a post? That you don't agree with an opinion? That you don't want the information it provides? That you don't like the person posting? The meaning of "like" is pretty unclear.

I've seen lots of posts on the forum that I thought were stupid or overly self-indulgent, but I wouldn't dream of either "liking" or "disliking" them. We have to allow people to be themselves, which is to be less than perfect in our eyes.

I support like if there is a dislike. We do have the replies section though, which can serve that purpose as well. I always hated that facebook has no dislike button. Too many places/people are looking for social acceptance only and want to eliminate any form of criticism because they feel that we all can not handle it. They forget that being criticized for saying something stupid is how people learn what is acceptable.
